Understand the advantages, processes and incentives of working with Employment Ontario and YWCA Toronto. Group Information Session Join our small group information session to learn about our services. After the presentation and completion of Employment Ontario registration forms, you will meet with a Client Advisor who will look after your employment needs. Evaluate Your Skills: Typing, bookkeeping and more It is common practice for skilled office workers to be tested by recruiters and employers as part of the hiring process. Arrange for an appointment to test yourself and discover your scores. Get Your Résumé and Cover Letter Noticed: Résumé and Cover Letter Workshop Transform your résumé into a powerful tool that will get you interviews. Take away handouts outline the components of a résumé and cover letter for further review and preparation from home. How to Ace your Interview: Interview Skills Workshop You will learn about preparation and research, interview structures, question styles, hidden intentions from questions and appropriate responses. Gain Confidence for your Job Interview: Mock Interview Practice Participants will have an opportunity to practice their interview skills. Must complete Interview Workshop prior to attending this session. Second Career Information Session Learn about eligibility, suitability, skills training, financial assessment and more. The objective of Second Career is to support laid-off and unemployed individuals requiring skills training and to assist them in finding employment in careers with demonstrated labour market prospects in Ontario. Résumé Review Have a one-on-one session with an Employment Specialist. Bring a copy of your résumé and cover letter to receive suggestions on content, format and methods to improve your existing résumé. Settlement Services and Resources An opportunity for newcomers living in the area to learn about services and resources for individuals, couples and families.
