What is YAC?

The Youth Alliance Committee (aka YAC) was formed in 1989 by the Battle Creek Community Foundation (BCCF) to involve high school students - in the greater Battle Creek area - in improving the quality of life for area youth. YAC fulfills this goal through an active role in grantmaking, volunteerism, evaluating needs & interests of youth, and actively engaging in various community projects.
Flexible Time Commitment YAC meets once a month Opportunities Potential to serve as board members both in & outside of BCCF, plus have access to internship & leadership opportunities
YAC is 35 students strong in 2012-2013, proudly representing six schools: Battle Creek Academy, Battle Creek Central, Harper Creek, Lakeview, Pennfield, & St. Phillip Catholic Central.
