The tremendous wealth and power of this city, along with its monumental size and appearance, were certainly considered a Biblical myth, that is, until its foundations were unearthed and its riches substantiated during the 19th century. Archaeologists stood in awe as their discoveries revealed that certain stories in the Bible were an actual situation that had happened in time. The Bible reveals that all false systems of religion began in the land of Babylon and will have their consummation from the spirit of Babylon in the last days. 1. MYSTERY BABYLON – THE WOMAN SITTING UPON THE BEAST Having grasped the overall scheme for the return of Christ, and the importance of Israel within that, although Israel’s re-formation should not be regarded as a sign of the Lord’s imminent return, we can now proceed. Indeed I suggest that more time is needed before the final New World Order or World Empire can have its fullest expression. A number of changes globally are still required for this to happen. Earlier we looked at certain parallels between the books of Revelation and Matthew in particular, and this section will now provide some critical information upon which the remainder of this book is to be built. After this chapter, the book will take on a very particular format and introduce the reader to some different teaching. With this in mind we turn to Mystery Babylon, the missing piece of the end times jigsaw. ‘One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits on many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.” Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a desert. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.’ Revelation 17v1-6, (NIV).
I freely admit that there are many interpretations to this very complex passage - throughout history it has lived up to its name - ‘mystery’! 118 There are those who believe that Mystery Babylon was simply the Roman Empire in the first century. Others believe it is Roman Catholicism or Islam and some a highly significant end times city. 119 Again others regard Mystery Babylon as a symbol of the unifying of the world in the political, economic and religious fields. I have opted for the latter interpretation, with certain nuances. This is simply because, on analysis, many belief systems today, which desire a globalised world, have their ‘roots’ or origins in ancient Babylonian ideology. Indeed, the unifying agendas of these belief systems, fits in precisely with the two Beasts of Revelation 13 and their global ambition. What are the chances of Mystery Babylon not aiding the global agenda of the Beasts, would be a good question to ask. It is likely Mystery Babylon supports them. The entire passage of Revelation 17-18 ought to be read first before engaging with my comments. Because Mystery Babylon is a complex area to understand, I hope the following simple overview will aid the reader to grasp the essentials before we proceed with more detail. Moreover, the interpretation offered here looks at the history and traits of Babylon in order to gain a correct understanding. It seems absolutely logical to me that in order to understand the end times Babylon, we need to understand what Babylon was like in history past. THE BACKGROUND In Genesis 10-11 we read of Babylon in its earliest biblical form. It was a city built by a man called Nimrod. Nimrod along with his followers, wanted to make ‘a name for themselves’, to build a Tower ‘that reached into the heavens’, Genesis 11v4. They wanted to be like God. The height of this self-exaltation was expressed through the symbolism of this building - The Tower of Babel; a Ziggurat built up into the sky. The Tower was about Man seeking to be autonomous – it was highly humanistic. It was about Man trying to be his own god and to govern the world without the biblical God.

The Tower was the symbol of Nimrod’s desire to bring that which was in the heavens above, down to the earth below. Essentially Nimrod wanted to marry earth and heaven together under this false spirituality. Maybe this ambition was an early expression of a later belief ‘as above, so below’ - a phrase which will become increasingly important as we continue. This view can be substantiated by the fact that a number of Ziggurats built during this ancient era, had names which reflected this type of spirituality. ‘The House of the Link between Heaven and Earth’ at Larsa, ‘The House of the Seven Guides of Heaven and Earth’ at Borsippa, ‘The House of the Foundation-Platform of Heaven and Earth’ at Babylon and ‘The House of the Mountain of the Universe’ at Asshur. 120 The Ziggurats were like a spiritual staircase from earth to heaven and from heaven to earth – a linkage between the two, bringing heaven and earth to bear upon each other. The society Nimrod built was, to all intents and purposes, politically, economically and religiously independent from the one true God of the Bible. The whole society was united against God; the Tower the symbol of that defiance. Maybe that is why God, later on, called Abram out from the Mesopotamian (essentially Babylonian) city called Ur, Genesis 11v28 onwards. Ur is about 365km south of modern Baghdad. Further evidence of the unifying ambition of this early Babylon is understood from the meaning of its name. ‘Babel’ and ‘Babylon’ are interchangeable words, because they come from the same ‘root’. The words mean ‘confused’ or ‘confusion’. When God judged these evil peoples for their act of unification, he scattered them across the earth, Genesis 11v8-9, and ‘confused’ their languages. That is why he called the place ‘Babylon’, because it was there that he ‘confused’ their plans, languages and culture. Obviously the confusion of speech always destroys one’s plans, the ability to communicate and therefore, in turn, unity. Whenever we see people coming together today, where they try to unify together in a way that is not biblical, as in that deep ‘globalised’ form, they are essentially trying to reverse this judgment from God. Building a world independent of the God of the Bible is incredibly arrogant and a mockery of his name and his judgments. It is interesting to note how English has become a universal language in these days. The late internationally renowned scholar Francis Schaeffer made a number of remarks with regard to Babel. Bearing in mind the context in his work with regard to The Fall generally, and Cain and Abel, God’s judgment at Babel ensured that the divisions between God and man, man and

himself and man with nature, were extended. Babel added to this by causing a division between ‘the men of the earth in their nations’. 121 BABYLON - ITS SCRIPTURAL DOMINANCE AND ITS EMPIRE BUILDING SPIRIT Throughout Bible history, Babylon and Babylonia have always played an important part – they act as an archetypal city and region built in opposition to God. There are many scriptures which refer to it. Repeatedly the Babylonian spirit of creating empires independent from the God of the Bible, has been a tell tale mark of those empires.
Bearing in mind that Babylon has a very long history, we can observe that many years after Nimrod’s time the Babylonian Empire under Nebuchadnezzar in the 6th century BC, where the prophet Daniel lived, had these same traits. The Persian Empire (Medo-Persian Federation), the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great, and the Roman Empire which chronologically followed ancient Babylon, were all empires built independently from God. A number of commentators who conclude that the first century Roman Empire was ‘Mystery Babylon’, can only really do so because Rome and its Empire was like the Babylonian Empire that had gone before it, because it showed the same characteristic of independence from Yahweh, the LORD. Why describe Rome with a term based upon another former Empire, if this were not so? The fascinating work by archaeologist and historian Dr Ernest Martin unequivocally demonstrates this statement. He shows that even though the Babylonian Empire had collapsed under the Medes from 539BC onwards, its ‘spirit’ continued thereafter. This is highlighted by the fact that Alexander the Great of the Greek Empire from approximately 330BC made Babylon his capital. Seleucus who took over from Alexander, ‘proclaimed himself king of Babylon’, and the Greeks, their race and religion and governmental structures, gradually became purely Babylonian. 122 Martin further establishes how this ‘Babylonianisation’ went on and changed the Roman Empire thereafter, something I shall return to later. His work draws upon the most highly respected historians, and his case, as far as I can determine, is irrefutable. These are amazing facts, but what is more remarkable is that at the very end of the Bible in Revelation 17-18, we discover that ‘Babylon’ still exists. Somehow its ‘spirit’ has continued and will do so until the time when Christ returns, Revelation 19. The description in the book of Revelation is: ‘Mystery Babylon the Great’ and is described as a woman sitting or riding on a Beast. She is the mother of prostitutes or harlots, sometimes called the horrid word ‘whore’. So, Babylon will have its final fulfilment and ultimate form, just before Jesus physically comes back. Babylon is, therefore, a vital component of biblical teaching for a book of this nature. As the following comments will demonstrate, the end times Mystery Babylon has the same spirit of unifying all things, politically, economically and religiously, as did Babylon of history past. Bearing in mind that after Babel’s judgment divisions between men, nature, nations and God existed, then it means that at the heart of Babylonianism there is a desire to reverse God’s judgments through Man’s own self sufficiency. Babylonianism fits precisely with the agenda of the two Beasts who wish to head up the human race with their godless ambitions. There is no belief system or worldview on earth more suited to the agenda of the Beasts than Babylonianism. It is the age old sin of Eden – Man wanting to be like God. In our world today we are observing this reversal in highly significant ways. The world is coming together – man to man, man to nature and nature to nature. Politically, economically, religiously, ecologically, environmentally, continentally, nationally, regionally - all are merging together as one. Man is trying to reverse the Babel judgment and trying to run the world without the one true God. When the time is right Mankind will be given over to the Beasts it deserves! In the coming pages I will begin to make negative remarks about globalisation, global governance and the New World Order, because these things naturally relate to the unification process noted above. It is important for the reader to appreciate that I am not opposed to nations relating together per se - there are positives within this when done correctly. My issue is when national sovereignties are eroded and all nations become part of the ‘world collective’, the ‘one world’. Some would describe this ambition as a ‘global mononation’. Either way, when globalisation reaches this level, I believe that it is laying a foundation for a worldwide Empire and for the Beasts to rise - it is highly Babylonian.
Simply stated - empire building is the central trait of Babylonianism whatever belief system it finally expresses itself through. Babylonianism is about unification in the political, economic and religious fields. I will now briefly analyse some of the spiritualities found within Babylonianism and this book will then go on to demonstrate how they are all aiding, in different ways, the global Empire-building we witness about us today. BABYLONIAN SPIRITUALITY – POLYTHEISM: GODS AND GODDESSES In Babylon’s history, from Nimrod’s time onwards, the belief in many gods existed. Historically Babylon has been ‘polytheistic’; ‘poly’ meaning ‘many’, ‘theistic’ meaning ‘god’. In fact it had a pantheon of gods numbering up to 2,500; however this figure is representative of its gods throughout history. 123 One could class this as ‘paganism’. Familiar false male gods that are mentioned in the Bible are El, Baal, Bel, Marduk, Nebo and Molech (Moloch). The 6th century BC Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar was actually named after Nebo - technically his name was Nebochadnezzar. Goddesses were also a highly important part of its belief system too; a female or feminine spirituality therefore existed in Babylon.
From the time of the Exodus, Asherah would be an example of this feminine spirituality in the Bible. In different regions and times these various gods and goddesses came under different names, having similar credentials to each other. Asherah is effectively the equivalent of Astarte, Ashtoreth and Ishtar, personifications of the planet Venus. These even correlate with the Hindu goddess Kali. Astarte was the ‘true sovereign of the world’ and known as the ‘Queen of the Stars’. The ‘roots’ or origins of this female goddess go back to Nimrod’s time in the 3rd millennium BC under the Sumerian name of Inanna. 124 125 126
Asherah was also a lover of the false god Tammuz, who is mentioned in Ezekiel 8v14 and probably Daniel 11v37, during the exile period. She is the ‘Queen of Heaven’ referred to in Jeremiah 7v18, 44v19, 25. 127 An Egyptian equivalent would be Isis. 128 Many of these deities were fertility goddesses - the ‘Mother’ goddess. In the first century Artemis or Diana would be a well known fertility goddess, and in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey) she was called Cybele, the ‘Earth Mother’ or the ‘Great Mother’. The fertility goddess figure has been worshipped in various forms throughout the world. So, I have now provided evidence that Babylonianism is about empire building and the unification of politics, economics and religion. I have also shown that polytheism was a dominant feature and a feminine spirituality was a significant part of its expression. But there is another extremely important spirituality within Babylonianism - pantheism. BABYLONIAN SPIRITUALITY – PANTHEISM: THE GOD FORCE IN ALL THINGS The term ‘pantheism’ means: ‘all is god’ and ‘god is all’; ‘pan’ meaning ‘all’ and ‘theism’ ‘god’. The Universe, nature and God are all equivalent and synonymous; the ‘god force’ flows through all things. The phrase, ‘The Universe and I are one’, may help to explain something of its meaning. During my research for this book I have been able to find a form of pantheism even as far back as the time of King Gilgamesh – an Akkadian King of approximately 2600BC. 129 Akkadia later became part of ancient Babylonia. It is difficult to date the early history of the Bible with absolute precision, but at the time when Nimrod lived at approximately 2300BC, this belief system would have already been established. Certainly by Abraham’s period of about 2160BC such faith beliefs were in place. I have been able to find evidence of this through an ancient poem dedicated to the High Priestess Enheduanna, who was located within Abraham’s original territory and the city of Ur. 130 131 But have we any further evidence of pantheism within early Babylonian history?
At the time of Hammurabi, the sixth king of Babylon, approximately 1792-1750BC, there is again evidence of ‘at least the beginning of pantheistic thought’. 132 Through accessing the academic on-line resource called JSTOR, (Journal Storage), I perused ‘The Journal of Biblical Literature: some notes on Israel in the light of Babylonian discoveries’. The scholar Franz Böhl shows that both polytheism and pantheism were part of Babylonian culture, even at these early times. 133 The scholar Hugo Winckler is also cited in the article, which provides evidence that these Babylonian spiritualities were highly influential upon many other belief systems in antiquity; although Böhl recommends that caution is used in how far we extend this view. 134 Further: ‘About six centuries before Moses, the Babylonian king Hammurabi conquered the whole of Sumer and Akkad, and his god, Marduk, the god of the city of Babylon, became the supreme God, God of the whole world. of Hammurabi until the Neo-Assyrian and the Neo-Babylonian empires (perhaps even until Alexander the Great) the great temple of Marduk in Babylon was the religious centre of all Western Asia’. 135
Certainly by the time of the 6th century BC - the time of Judah’s exile in Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar pantheism was an established part of Babylonian spirituality. ‘Mystery religions’, or ‘mysteries’, existed at that time, and it was only elitist groups, such as the priests or ‘hierophants’, who had attained the deepest understandings of these mysteries. 136 There were higher and lower mysteries, with the lower variety being reserved for the average person, or ‘the masses’. Hierophants were well versed in astronomy, astrology, engaging in observation, investigation, analysis and recording of solar, lunar and stellar phenomena. Hierophants were also skilled mathematicians and were knowledgeable in architectural and engineering sciences. They were also healers with special skills in medicine and possibly surgery. These mysteries had interests in the origins of life, human spirituality and its purification and restoration to a higher level. 137 It was within these inner secretive groups that pantheism was known and believed to be the highest truth. The historian and archaeologist Ernest Martin, also demonstrates that mystery religions were part of Babylonian society, certainly from this period. It is interesting to note that the term ‘Mystery Babylon’ has some similarity to the terms ‘mystery religions’ or ‘mysteries’. I will explore this in due course. Indeed if one looks beyond Babylonia to Egypt, from as early as 2500BC, mystery religions under the fertility goddess Isis can be found. Greek and Roman cultures also had mystery religions as part of their belief systems. Other famous mystery schools would be The Eleusinian Mysteries dating from approximately 1600BC and the Mithraic Mysteries of the 1st century – although evidence exists dating it to the 6th century BC. Indeed there is some limited evidence that these mystery religions are found at early Babylon – close to Nimrod’s time. 138 This makes more sense when one understands that in the ancient Egypt of this period the concept of Maat existed - the balancing out of the spiritual forces. 139 This concept has some correlations with the type of spirituality found in the mysteries. What is important to note is that the mystery religions in all their forms, and their pantheistic beliefs, have always desired the perfection of Man or Humanity; making us more god-like. This is very similar to modern New Age teaching. Their ambitions have always been to ‘immanentise the Eschaton’. In other words, pantheism and the mystery religions desire to perfect the world according to their spirituality in the here and now. It has been cleverly summed up with the phrase: ‘heaven on earth within history’. 140 Christian teaching normally understands this perfection of the world as occurring after Jesus returns; but not so in the pantheistic mystery religions and Gnosticism, which came later. Gnosticism was a movement which believed that special secretive and mysterious knowledge was needed for salvation. Because pantheism desires for Humanity to be perfected, it teaches that together as a whole we will finally reach our god-like potential. Humanity is evolving on into greater things and has the potential to solve the world’s problems. I am sure you can appreciate that this belief will enable the building of the World Empire, independent to the God of the Bible! Pantheism desires to bring all people together - the ‘collective’, the ‘one world’, is an inherent focus. It also aids the bringing together of all religions and so it supports ‘religious pluralism’. At its highest expression this becomes ‘syncretism’, where all religions have merged together and act as virtually the same thing. For this to occur religions will need to remove their unhelpful ‘fundamentals’ so that they can act as one. Religious ‘relativism’ would be another term associated with this. It is this worldview which is now a distinct feature within society. So, Babylonianism is about empire building and the unification of politics, economics and religion. Polytheism was also a dominant feature within it, along with feminine spiritualities. However, I have now demonstrated that pantheism is a critical part of its spirituality, aiding the development of the World Empire too. I will return to this in due course. THE END TIMES BABYLON – THE SCRIPTURAL BACKGROUND Understanding what Babylon may be is critical for a correct understanding of the book of Revelation, because Babylon is a massive component within its pages. Many within Dispensational circles, with their very positive views about Israel, have regularly held that Rome, and therefore Roman Catholicism, is what the symbolic ‘Babylon’ refers to. Of course there are those outside of Dispensationalism who believe this too, whereas other writers argue that Islam will be the fulfilment of the end times scriptures. There are many views.
The basic argument given for why Roman Catholicism is the fulfilment of these scriptures is as follows. Rome is built on seven hills, Revelation 17v9, Catholicism also emerged out from the Roman Empire, Catholicism has paganism and Babylonian influences within its teaching, as well as there being parallels between the attire and wealth of the woman sitting on the Beast, and Catholicism and its riches. An example would be that the woman is dressed is scarlet and purple, just like Catholic priests, and she is glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls, 17v4, which represents the wealth of the Catholic Church. The argument is also based on the view that Mystery Babylon, the ugly prostitute, is in direct contrast to the beautiful Bride of Revelation 19, which is clearly the true Church. Because of this contrast, Mystery Babylon becomes a symbol for a false Church, of which Roman Catholicism is the denomination most criticised. Those who advocate this view also take verses from the Old Testament to do with harlotry and apply them to the false Church, to create their argument. Having spent many hours researching this controversial area, and having some affinity with this view, I do not believe that Roman Catholicism is the ultimate fulfilment of these scriptures. Roman Catholicism has distinct Babylonian expressions within it, and is a significant end times component, the reasons for which I will expound later - indeed I have devoted an entire chapter to it. But on analysis, one must start with the Bible first in order to understand what Mystery Babylon is. There are many scriptures in the Old Testament which are the background to the description of the woman on the Beast. Revelation is, after all, a book which is grounded upon the Old Testament. For example, the ‘four horsemen of the apocalypse’ (the first 4 seals of Revelation 6v1-8) have great similarities to the horsemen referred to in the book of Zechariah. The exalted Son of Man in Revelation 1v13f is based upon the son of man in the book of Daniel; there many other examples too. As that is so, good interpretation must start with the scriptures first in order to understand, in this case, what Mystery Babylon is. The woman on the Beast is a ‘prostitute’, in fact the mother of prostitutes. This term is precisely what Judah was called by Ezekiel as she entered into exile in Babylon in the 6th century BC. herself with the Babylonian people, their gods and beliefs. Jeremiah 7v18 and 44v17-25, also refers to the ‘Queen of Heaven’, with Jeremiah pleading with Judah to cease its worship of this Babylonian goddess. In fact over 80 times in the Old Testament Israel is characterised as a prostitute - Hosea 1v2, 4v12, Isaiah 1v21, 57v3 are some other examples. Jeremiah 4v30 also describes Judah as a woman dressed in scarlet and gold, a woman shading herself with paint for her lovers, which is similar language given in Revelation 17v5 for the woman on the Beast, the end times Babylon. For those who argue that Mystery Babylon has nothing to do with religion and spirituality, the opposite is actually true. Mystery Babylon is a prostitute, and that is the stock description given to people believing in false religions and spiritualities. Earlier we discovered that Ishtar relates to the false biblical goddess Asherah and that many people in Judah had been worshippers of her. What is interesting is that this goddess Ishtar (Asherah) was also regarded as a prostitute. Once again then we have another link between Judah’s sin, false religions and the prostitution theme. Barbara Walker in her highly researched Encyclopaedia writes that Ishtar was called the ‘Great Whore’, and was also known as the Goddess Har - ‘Har’ presumably being the name where we get the words ‘harem’ and ‘harlot’ from. It is also similar to the word ‘whore’. Ancient prostitutes or harlots commanded high social status and were embodiments of the ‘Queen of Heaven’. 141
Therefore the most immediate understanding of the end times Mystery Babylon is that it relates to apostate Jewish people, who have failed to honour their God. Such terms have a direct reference to Israel, Jerusalem and the Jews more than any other belief system or people group in the world, because the terms are based on their own scriptures and their own history. Many may refer to Islam or Roman Catholicism as the fulfilment of the end times verses, but the standard approach to interpreting scripture is one of determining what a particular verse means within the Bible’s worldview first. The fact is the Bible focuses on Jews and Christians above all else, and so therefore we must first establish whether Mystery Babylon has relevance to them, rather than other belief systems which started hundreds of years after Revelation was written. Islam and Roman Catholicism are distinctly important – I have devoted two chapters to them and they have Babylonian traits – but the Jewish relevance to Mystery Babylon must be addressed initially. The belief system which I regard to be a clear example of this is Jewish Cabbalism. This opinion, and Cabbalism itself, will be the subject of the coming chapters. However, because the power of the Babylonian spirit is so great, it has affected other belief systems too, not just Cabbalism – although Cabbalism is a highly important and central component. There is something within Babylonianism that has affected both Jewish and Gentile worldviews. Certain spiritualties were born within ancient Babylonia, and over the centuries it has developed into a multifaceted expression beyond Cabbalism, with Empire building at its heart. The rest of this book will be devoted to exploring these other belief systems and ideologies. THE END TIMES ‘BABYLON’ - LOCATION This woman, ‘Mystery Babylon’, is also a ‘great city’ built on 7 hills, Revelation 17v9, 18. There are two cities relevant to the Bible, which are physically built on 7 hills. They are Jerusalem and Rome. Many are unaware that Jerusalem is built on 7 hills, but there is no doubt about it. An excellent article by the aforementioned Dr Ernest Martin establishes this conclusively. 142 Irene Belyeu’s book ‘Revelation in Context: a literary and historical Commentary on the book of Revelation with supporting referents and notes’, also makes a strong case for Jerusalem being built on seven hills. She writes that the evidence is at least as strong for it as it is for Rome being built on seven hills. agree with all that Belyeu concludes, but her work is an excellent scholarly example of how Revelation’s details had significance within the first century. Jerusalem is also the place where Jesus prophesied about the ‘abomination that causes desolation’ coming to power in the re-built Temple, (Matthew 24v15), and the book of Revelation also focuses on Jerusalem for this event too; another parallel between Revelation and Matthew 24. Evidence for this can be seen in the book of Revelation, because ‘Babylon’ is called ‘the great city’. In Revelation 11v8 the ‘great city’ is the place where Jesus ‘was crucified’, which of course is Jerusalem! The city of Jerusalem is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt; a vile description befitting of the sinfulness of the prostitute description. The two witnesses of Revelation 11, who prophesy against what is happening in the city, surely cannot be in any other place than Jerusalem. Besides 11v2 refers to the city as ‘holy’ and the Temple and its ‘outer court’, thus Jerusalem is the prime candidate. The verse also refers to 42 months which is the same time frame as the Beast’s rule for the Tribulation period, 13v5. Jesus said to the Pharisees that they were responsible for the blood of the prophets and these comments were made in, and to, the city of Jerusalem, Matthew 23v35-37. Likewise Babylon the ‘great city’ is also responsible for their blood in Revelation 18v20, 24. Indeed the woman on the Beast is drunk with the blood of the saints, 17v6. Roman Catholicism, for all its doctrinal and historical faults, never killed the prophets as ‘Jerusalem’ did, because Catholicism was not even in existence then, neither was Islam. Demographically the 70,000 people referred to in Revelation 11v13 (one tenth of the city was 7,000), is likely to be Jerusalem compared with the far more populous Rome. The evidence for Jerusalem as the symbolic ‘Babylon’ is in fact quite significant, with other scholars making the same claim. I have only briefly touched upon the main arguments here. 145 I have previously argued that prophecy can have more than one fulfilment in history, and so with that in mind I conclude that the end times ‘Mystery Babylon’ will be ‘Jerusalem’, and it will be embedded with Babylonian ideology and spirituality - a unified desire to build the world independently from God. THE END TIMES ‘BABYLON’ - GLOBAL But the end times Babylon is not just local in its influence - Jerusalem is not just an isolated city. The woman on the Beast, Mystery Babylon, has worldwide power - she rules over the ‘(ten) kings of the earth’, 17v12, 18. Indeed she sits upon many waters, v1, which are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages, 17v15! In the first century through the Temple taxation scheme, Jerusalem was incredibly wealthy, with her reach extending throughout the empire, even into Babylon where many Jews still lived, as they had done so for centuries; since the 6th century BC exile. Interestingly Belyeu calls the temple scheme a Jewish ‘World Bank’. 146 The Jews also had far flung trade routes throughout the Roman world, which was essentially international trade, this being reflected in verses such as Revelation 18v17, 19. In the last days Jerusalem’s reach will be greater still - it will literally be global. Because Jerusalem will be at the centre of this, it will fulfil the commercial and economic details of Revelation 18v11f under the Beast’s political and economic control. It is only after Jesus returns that Jerusalem can become the meaning of its name – the City of Peace – Shalom! Somehow Babylon and its empire building power of unification on the political, economic and religious fronts, will be so great, it will encompass the world. Babylonian spirituality is all pervading, yet one day its universal reach will be emitted from one particular city, when the Beast finally reigns - Jerusalem. Scripture allows only one city to be the centre of world rule in the last days and it will be Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be the fount from which all globalisation and the ‘New World Order’ will one day be expressed - the capital of the World Empire. Is not tiny Israel at the centre of world politics even now? She is always in the News and more United Nations resolutions have been made about her than any other country. Pertinent questions would be: what are the chances of Jerusalem having the end times Beast reign from it and Jerusalem not being ‘Babylon’? having the Beast reign from it, and all Jews everywhere having nothing to do with the Beast’s appearance in their land? There are apostate Jews in the world, specifically through the aforementioned Cabbalism, and some of them are very much part of the rise of the Beast to power, as the following chapters will make clear. But they are not the only persons involved with this, not by any means. Many, many Gentiles (non-Jews) are also involved with Babylonianism in different ways. The facts clearly show that there are globalist-minded people from both groups, and we find individuals of this ilk appearing in the many belief systems found in our world today. THE END TIMES MYSTERY BABYLON – ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE BEASTS Mystery Babylon is a woman who sits or rides (17v7) upon the Beast. But which Beast is it, because there are two Beasts mentioned in Revelation 13? It is actually the first Beast, because its description in Revelation 13v2 is the same as that in Revelation 17v3. So, Mystery Babylon the Great has a special relationship with the first Beast; she aids his agenda, actually symbolically sitting upon him. Mystery Babylon and the first Beast work together, having political and economic rule over the earth - a global totalitarian regime with a ‘mark’ required to buy and sell with. Because historically Babylonianism is about building a world independent from God, then Mystery Babylon has very similar ambitions to the Beast - the same purpose. But I have also detailed that certain spiritualities are part of Babylonianism, for example pantheism, and how that, along with other beliefs, aid the building of the ‘one world’. Therefore Mystery Babylon is religiously suited toward this, and will support the agenda of the other Beast – the False Prophet. Mystery Babylon is a place of ‘sorceries’ 18v23, which leads all the nations astray and is a place for every ‘evil spirit’, 18v2. The prostitute concept, as already noted, also suggests false spiritualities. There are even some scholars who have recognised these religious elements and its association to the mystery religions. 147 Together the Beast, the False Prophet and the Mystery Babylon system act like a triangle of powers mutually self supporting. They have an innate drive towards ‘unity’, politically, economically, spiritually and religiously. It seems to me that the spirituality of the false prophets, messiahs and christs of the end times period, Matthew 24v24, are also part of this, aiding its development. The ‘one world’ agenda inherent to Babylonianism is perfectly attuned to the ambitions of the Beast and False Prophet – like no other ancient philosophy.

A SUMMARY OF BABYLONIANISM There is a great breadth of influence from within Babylonianism. Across the centuries it has had many expressions. In summary these expressions and influences are as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Empire Building - the creation of a world independent from the one true God. It is humanistic. Unification on the political, economic and religious fronts. Pantheism, which also aids unification, religious pluralism, syncretism and relativism. Polytheism (paganism). Feminine spiritualities.
Whenever we see independence from God in the world, with people unifying together for that purpose, we know, whether it is political, economic, societal, or religious, that the Babel spirit, the spirit of Babylon, ‘Mystery Babylon the Great’, is at work. It will work in conjunction with the two Beasts, as I have argued. That is its true colours and that is what it looks like. The gold head on Daniel’s statue, representing Babylon, has always influenced all other empires after it, and will do so until the coming of the Kingdom of God, Daniel 2v34-35, 44-45. What remarkable prophetic and predictive foresight Daniel had! As Christian teacher Johannes Facius has observed: ‘The aspiration is to compete with God. To build something that will reach into heaven. To make a name for themselves, because they do not want to be under God’s authority. To be independent of God’s ways and plans… Man’s plan was to stay together and pool all their resources together in an attempt to create their own society; their own world independent of God. We call this the spirit of Babylon’. 148
It is worth noting that during the time this Babylonian world is being built, ready for the Beast and his False Prophet, many disasters will befall humanity. The horrors described by the symbolism of the 7 seals, 7 trumpets and 7 bowls of wrath, during which the Great Tribulation will occur, must also come to pass. Or, as in Matthew’s parlance - wars, rumours of wars and the awful birth-pains of the end. I suggest that it will be these very things that will aid the final unification of the political, economic and religious fields within our world - Babylonianism completed! World crises will aid the rise of the Beast to power, as the world cries out for a would-be saviour to solve the global issues around them. THE BABYLONIAN BELIEF SYSTEMS The following belief systems are what I believe to be inherently Babylonian, or at least have Babylonian traits within them – some exhibit more of the Babylonian spiritualities and expressions listed above than others. However, they each, in different ways, aid the rise of the two Beasts and their ultimate focus upon Jerusalem in the end days. That is why Mystery Babylon is a complex and mysterious entity, because throughout Babylon’s history all these features and beliefs can be found within it - even though its most immediate relevance is to apostate Jews and Cabbalism. It is important to realise that even though originally many of the belief systems listed below were not in existence in ancient Babylon, they are modern extensions and expressions of Babylonia’s spiritualities. They are directly associated to it because they have similar core values to those found in Babylonia – their ‘roots’ go back to this time period. Some of the ones listed here may surprise the reader, but as my argument unfolds throughout the rest of this book, the logic of my claims will be evident: • Cabbalism • Freemasonry • Illuminised Freemasonry • The Illuminati

AN OVERVIEW OF THE BABYLONIANISM WITHIN THE LISTED BELIEF SYSTEMS In the coming chapters we will observe these facts in detail, but it may help the reader to have this information in a succinct form beforehand. The table is not precise, but it is sufficient for our purposes here.
I will also conclude this book with a chapter on Europe, which will prove to be a physical ‘test case’ of that which I have argued throughout – physical evidence of an empire being built in the world today. If there are any doubts about the power of Babylonianism and its importance in the unification of the world today, the philosopher Karl Jaspers made some very interesting observations about ancient Babylon. In his work ‘The Origin and Goal of History’, Jaspers wrote about ‘The Axial Period’. The Axial Period occurred at the time of the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC, and in this period: ‘...the world went into a brand new type of philosophical and religious belief that caused the great world religions that we know of today to have their basic origins’. Jaspers felt that it was: ‘...no accident that Buddha, Lao-Tzu, Zoroaster, Shintoism, the Greek Philosophers, the beginning of Judaism,* were all concentrated in origin within this “Axial Period” of history... It can be shown that much transplantation of Babylonian ideas and religious beliefs were introduced into India at this time (which altered Hinduism in some of its essential teachings). And from India, they spread into China and the eastern areas of Asia. When all is said and done, it can be shown that all the religions in the world that we see about us at the present have in one way or another been influenced by the people that came out from the region of Babylon’. 149 (My emphasis. *Some writers believe that Judaism was only truly formed during the exile period).
Indeed Dr Ernest Martin details that the chief characteristic of Babylonianism, as depicted in the life of Simon Magus (Acts 8) and his fellow Samaritans, (Samaritans have a Babylonian ancestry), as well as within the philosophy of Stoicism, was: ‘to develop a one world religion... and blend the various beliefs of the Jews, the Samaritans and the various Gentile religions into a syncretic doctrinal belief that was designed to unite the world into a single universal (catholic) religion... the philosophy taught the universal brotherhood of man, the doing away with national

barriers, the encouragement of intermarriage and having one law over all. They called the ideal state as one governed by a central city, the city of God... a type of universal... world religion and society’. 150 My emphasis.
I ask you - are these not the ideals we see at work in our world today? I assure you they are indeed! EXCURSUS: A PREDICTION OF THE OUTWORKING OF THE LAST DAYS SCENARIO DIFFERENCES, JOSTLING AND CONSOLIDATION Within each of the belief systems named in the previous chapter, I will soon demonstrate that there is an ambition to build a ‘one world’. Clearly there are differences between them - for example Islam is very different to the New Age religion. However, in the final analysis we will discover that both of these ‘religions’, along with the other belief systems, have definite Babylonian traits. Remarkably they all fit under the Babylonian ‘umbrella’. It is a highly complicated state of affairs and the outworking of these belief systems will take time; they have already been ticking along for centuries. There will be jostling between them because not every belief system will necessarily agree with the other, or with their view about what the final expression of globalisation under the New World Order should be. But the end times scenario will finally come to pass because Revelation 17v17 reads: ‘For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule...’ Indeed the end times ‘powerful delusion’ which is to take place, will enable this outcome to emerge, 2 Thessalonians 2v11. They will believe the ‘lie’. Essentially, as a whole, Mystery Babylon will act as a ‘world system’ opposed to God. The underlying Babylonian ‘spirit’ is so great within these various belief systems and other ideologies, that in the end days, as Babylonianism reaches its fulfilment, many men and women from all sorts of backgrounds and beliefs will finally come together as one, laying aside their differences for the sake of Babylonianism – the building of the ‘one world’. The common Babylonian desire which exists between them, and in them, will allow this situation to materialise. It is important to understand that eventually the Beast (and the ten kings - the horns) turns upon the woman who sits on him and ‘eats’ and ruins her, Revelation 17v16-17. Presumably this occurs after the Beast has, by implication, used her Babylonian systems to his own selfish end. It is then the ‘one world religion’ under the False Prophet will be set up in worship of the Beast, because he wants to be worshipped as God. That is why he will devour Mystery Babylon because he will oppose all other ‘gods’, 2 Thessalonians 2v3-4. The Beast will become the ultimate personification of Babylonianism itself, creating a world under his totalitarian rule - built completely independently to the one true God of the Bible - Satan’s World Empire. I will develop these thoughts in the final chapter. Obviously not everyone within these belief systems will adhere to this Babylonian agenda, and we have to be very careful not to imply otherwise. I suggest that these systems will act as ‘fronts’ for this global agenda. Those particularly in the higher echelons of these systems are the ones who will likely have a particular orientation towards this ambition. By ‘fronts’ I mean that they use their particular belief system to advance their own agenda, in this case a global one. In addition to the named belief systems, there are certain political and economic ideologies which will support this development; some of which I shall examine later. In the final analysis, we will find that some of those who operate at this high globalist level will be Cabbalists, others Freemasons and some will be New Agers, or proponents of other belief systems. There may be some who hold to no particular belief system as such, but believe in Mankind’s potential – therefore humanists may also aid this global development. will support this globalised development. There may even be certain crossovers, for example a Freemason may be highly socialist in his political stance. In the coming pages I will also detail various globalist structures and organisations which shape the modern world - groups which have individuals within them who hold to these aforementioned beliefs. EXCURSUS: PANTHEISM AND ITS DOMINANCE Pantheism has a number of variants within its expression. I believe it is a significant force working against true Christianity and it needs combating, especially because of its ability to draw all religions together, particularly through New Age teaching. The book ‘Apologetics in the New Age, a Christian Critique of Pantheism’, by Clark and Geisler, lists many of these types. 151 It is important for the reader to understand that forms of pantheism and pantheism itself, have been the belief systems of many influential philosophers and educated men and women over many years. Examples are George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and Baruch Spinoza, H G Wells (famous author, Freemason and socialist), Emile Durkheim (sociology), Carl Jung (psychology), Arthur C Clarke (Science) and Teilhard de Chardin (a Catholic theologian). Many of these men, and there have been others, have had profound influence upon society’s education. Spinoza for example, was very influential upon the 18th century Enlightenment, where ‘reason’ was exalted as the authority, rather than God. This worldview permeated throughout Europe and even on into America, of which we are the recipients today. Former Catholic priest and writer, Matthew Fox, would be another modern example, whose books have sold millions. There is even a rather interesting variation called ‘naturalistic’ or ‘impersonal’ pantheism which holds that there is no God or god force at all, as with regular atheism. But like regular pantheism, it holds that the Universe does act as a single, interrelated whole. This type of pantheism allows for an atheistic world view - an ‘atheism for nature lovers’ as it has been satirically called! So it is possible that humanists and atheists could be pantheists in this way, without necessarily realising it. 152 153 Pantheism has a very powerful catchment group. One could be an atheist, humanist, communist, socialist, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a New Ager, Cabbalist, Freemason, as well as a believer in other religious world views, and somehow fit under its umbrella, together in unity, allowing for each other’s differences. That is why pantheism is a significant component of this book - a belief which started thousands of years ago, in some form, even as far back as Nimrod’s time.

2. BABYLONIANISATION I – CABBALISM AND THE PERFECTING OF THE WORLD Please let me categorically assure you, my study of the unbiblical beliefs within world Jewry is not antiSemitic. My criticism is not about the Jews; it is criticism of the erroneous beliefs that some of them hold to. Likewise if Gentiles follow these beliefs, they too are in error just as much as a Jewish person. In this book I make criticisms about all sorts of varying beliefs which I believe are not in line with the teaching of the Bible. Criticisms about certain Jewish beliefs should not be taken to be any more negative than my remarks about any other belief system or group. I believe there is a Cabbalist current within world Jewry which is having a direct effect upon the world and its development. Many Jews have little idea that a Cabbalistic, globalist orientated current exists. Many Jews are being ‘used’ by their contemporaries. I am referring to a powerful element within Jewry – a point I wish to emphasise. Of course building a world suitable for the end times period is bigger than certain Cabbalistic Jews - it involves far more Gentiles however I believe Cabbalism will ultimately be a central and directing factor. I have already written that God has a special plan for the remnant of the Jews and this must be remembered alongside the details of this section. In the previous chapter I suggested that the most immediate interpretation of Mystery Babylon was to apostate Jews, because of the Old Testament background for the term - as well as how the Jews at that time prostituted themselves with false spiritualities. Modern Jews, who hold to Cabbalism, must surely fit into this category today – they are a critical piece of the end times ‘jigsaw’. The Cabbalist beliefs listed in the earlier table: pantheism, unification, a form of feminine spirituality, empire building, will now be observed and studied in relative detail. Many Dispensationalists will refer to globalisation and the coming world government, and have similar concerns with regard to these things as I do. But I suggest that one of the distinct differences between my stance and theirs, other than issues such as the timing of the rapture and so forth, is that I do not believe all Jews are entirely innocent in this globalist process. Many Dispensationalists in particular are so enamoured with Israel and the Jews, I believe they have neglected to look at the bigger ‘Jewish picture’. With that written I can now continue. THE TALMUD Before we look at Cabbalism, I must make some remarks about another important piece of Jewish literature first - The Talmud. This extensive Jewish writing is an important collection of oral laws and discussion about those oral laws. Notably the word ‘Talmud’ means ‘study’ or ‘learning’. At the start of this book I commented that there are great differences between the Judaism that Christ believed and modern Judaism. These following comments will substantiate this claim. Originally the Talmud was transmitted orally, by ‘word of mouth’. It was much later when it received its written form under certain Rabbis and Pharisees. There are, in effect, two Talmuds. First - ‘The Jerusalem Talmud’ (often called ‘The Palestinian Talmud’), and second - ‘The Babylonian Talmud’. The Jerusalem Talmud was deeply influenced by the famous Rabbi Judah Hanasi, mainly located round the city Jabneh or Jamnia, at approximately AD 190. But, it is ‘The Babylonian Talmud’ which always supersedes the other in debate and practice; it has priority. The Jerusalem Talmud was put into its absolute final form in the 4th century AD and the Babylonian Talmud in the late 5th century AD, in what was originally the ancient area of Babylonia. It ought to be noted that there is evidence that elements of the oral teaching of the Talmud can be traced back to the time of the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC. 155 156 157 As that is so, its history is long indeed. The Talmud has become a very important piece of writing within Jewish culture and beliefs; one of great influence, virtually inestimable. For many Jews it has equal standing to the Old Testament scriptures, if not more. 158 Passages from the Old Testament, the Talmud and Cabbalist texts are often read together. There are of course a number of Jews who try to uphold only the teachings of the Tanakh, the Old Testament. As with all people groups, there is breadth of opinion and belief, and we find such breadth with regard to the Jews, the Talmud and other Jewish texts. Of course there are a number of Jews who are purely secular, agnostic and atheistic.
The ‘Talmud’ includes two sections called the ‘Mishnah’ and ‘Gemara’. The Mishnah is an interpretation of the Jewish Law or Torah; to ‘complement and enlarge upon the wisdom of the Bible’. 159 The Gemara, however, is an enlargement upon the Mishnah; containing long discourses from Jewish academics, using ‘a questions and answers’ methodology. So, the Talmud contains both of these works together. It is worth noting that there are many sub-sections within the Mishnah and Gemara as well. 160 It is a fact of Jewish history that most Jews did not return back to Judah after the Babylonian exile, which ended in approximately 536BC, but continued to stay in Babylon for centuries afterwards. Moreover, many additional Jews decided to live in what was the area of Babylon after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem from AD70 onwards, when they were dispersed across the world and became ‘The Diaspora’. By the second century the ancient area of Babylonia had become the centre of Judaism, with Jerusalem simply being a place of veneration. Indeed the Jewish population was significant in the Babylonian area until about the 11th century, which means their history in this land is of the order of 1600 years! Thus, out from Babylon, via the Pharisees and The Talmud, modern Rabbinic Judaism was birthed; this being the basis for nearly all contemporary forms of Judaism. 161 Two Jewish encyclopedias comment, that: ‘The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Their leading ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent, of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the largest and most important single piece of that literature… and the study of it is essential for any real understanding of Pharisaism...’ ‘With the destruction of the Temple (70 A.D.) the Sadducees disappeared altogether, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the Pharisees; the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view, and a new aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older priestly tradition (Abot 1:1). Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future’. 162
So, Babylon has had an enormous part to play within Jewish history and in the formation of the Jews most important teachings and beliefs outside of the Old Testament – the Hebrew Scriptures. highly important fact. Indeed it was during the Shimon Bar Kochba rebellion in 135AD that more Jews left to live in this area. Bar Kochba was like a messiah figure for the Jews, who desired to re-build the Temple in Jerusalem. His ambition failed under Roman Emperor Hadrian, hence a further Jewish exodus from the land. Clearly Jesus refuted all forms of teaching outside the Old Testament scriptures, including the oral expressions of the gradually forming Talmud. His remarks against the ‘tradition of the elders’, Matthew 15v2, would be an example, and his strong criticism of the Pharisees in Matthew 23, Mark 7v13 and John 8 would be others.
A great deal has been written about The Talmud. A number of writers claim that The Talmud contains verses about Jewish supremacy, along with anti-Christian, anti-Christ and anti-Gentile rhetoric; these expressions being formed from the mid 1st century onwards, as the Talmud continued to develop. The quotations from the Talmud that I have seen are not pleasant. Not surprisingly there are other writers who argue the opposite, the main stance being that those criticising The Talmud are interpreting things incorrectly, have limited understanding and are using poor translations of The Talmud. I will leave it to the reader to delve into this controversial area, but what I will state is that Judaism today is not the same as it was at the time of Christ. There are vast differences. 163 Further I will concede that within the pages of the Talmud, we do find a pattern for a global form of government - a New World Order - to use a modern phrase that we know so well. This view has also been supported by a number of Jewish academics, but one quotation will suffice: ‘the Talmud gave birth to the universally adaptable Jew, providing him an invisible framework for the governance of man’. 164 My main concern, however, lies with the belief system called Cabbalism or Kabbalism. It can be spelt a number of ways, even with a ‘Q’. At this point, it is worth noting that the Talmud does not necessarily contradict Cabbalism. From a Christian viewpoint this is unfortunate. 165

CABBALISM Cabbalism is mystical, ‘New Age’ Judaism, to use a loaded term. Kabbala means ‘receive’ or ‘reception’. Lots of Jews study Qabbalah; likewise there are many who do not. Many date the beginnings of Cabbalism from about AD70, from the time of the destruction of the Jewish Temple. Messianic Jewish writer Lance Lambert would be an example of this. 166 Lambert also recognises that this period, through to the Middle Ages, in particular the 13th century, is vital to the development of Cabbalism. Many Jews became devout Cabbalists from the 13th through to the 15th century. It was in the 13th century that the famous and indispensable Cabbalistic book, ‘The Sepher ha Zohar’ was written in Spain. One other important Cabbalist book is the ‘Sepher Yetsirah’, ‘the Book of Creation’. 167 It is clear from the above information, that the Jews had gradually moved westwards taking with them the teachings of both The Talmud and Cabbalism into Europe. ‘The Dictionary of the Occult’ teaches that Cabbalism, along with another similar occultic philosophy, Hermetic Philosophy, formed the foundation of Western occultism. 168 The evidence supports that Cabbalism in some form, also came to England through Francesco Zorzi, who served as ‘divine counsellor’ to Henry VIII, whose reign ended in 1547. 169 Forms of cabbalism and occultic beliefs featured within the Monarchy during this period, other examples being its influence upon Sir Francis Bacon and John Dee, under Elizabeth I. One particular author that I have used in this chapter is the late international political investigator and expert on the occult and religion, Edith Starr Miller, sometimes known as Lady Queenborough. Miller argues, by quoting several authorities, that both The Talmud and Cabbalism had even earlier Babylonian origins than the time given above; origins from the period of the Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC. Is there any further evidence for this date?
Helena Blavatsky, a Theosophist, New Ager, occultist and co-Freemason, who was an international authority within her circles, argued that Cabbalism had its origins in Babylon, approximate to the time when the Jews were in captivity. 170 Incidentally, a theosophist is someone who believes that knowledge and wisdom of God can be found through spiritual ecstasy, personal intuition and revelations. Theosophy has been highly influential upon modern New Ageism. Cabbalist expert, Dr. Charles Poncé, in ‘Kabbalah: an introduction and illumination for the World’, also asserts that Cabbalism’s origins go back to the time of the Second Temple, 538BC. Thus it is approximate to the time of the Jewish exile in Babylon. 171 Zolar, in his encyclopaedia of forbidden knowledge, also concedes that the origins of Cabbalism ‘date back considerably’, suggesting a time period in Chaldea, (approximately six centuries before Christ in Babylonia), with further links into ancient Egyptian belief systems. 172 173 Jewish writer, Dr. Henry Makow, supports this position too. 174 Makow, like other writers I could name, sometimes strays into areas of speculation – but his more cross-referenced work is of value, as is the case with other authors. Interestingly Dr. Makow was the inventor of the popular family game ‘Scruples’! There is evidence of even earlier origins for Cabbalism, because some Cabbalists claim that Adam, Abraham, Moses and King Solomon received Cabbalistic teaching from God during their times. number suggest that Moses was part of the mystery schools of Egypt whilst he was there before The Exodus. 175 But, all things considered, none of this denies that development of Cabbalism occurred in Babylon, approximate to the time of the Babylonian exile. It then went through greater development within that location, from 1st to 5th century AD, and then on into the Middle Ages. It is important to note that I disagree that Adam, Abraham, and Moses were ‘Cabbalists’, although Solomon is a different issue. In due course I will detail his apostasy. PANTHEISM AND GODHOOD This is where our previous chapter now becomes critically important. Earlier we learned that in Babylon many people had beliefs which were - polytheistic, pantheistic, of a feminine spirituality, as well as being associated to the mystery religions and desirous of a world independent to the God of the Bible. Unification, a unifying of the people together, was also dominant. Babylon was ‘the occult centre of antiquity’. 176 177 Pantheism essentially means that - God is all and all is God. The ‘god force’ flows through everything. It is pantheism, or at least a form of pantheism, which features within the teaching of Cabbalism. Miller writes that because of the Pharisees’ association with Babylon, they had become ‘saturated with pantheistic Chaldeism (Babylonianism)’. Gary Kah in his book ‘En route to global occupation’, also shows that pantheism in various forms was connected to the ancient mystery religions and even the on-line encyclopaedia, Wikipedia, associates Cabbalism with this. 178 179 180 Reverend Ted Pike also agrees: ‘When the Jews were carried to distant Babylon in 587 BC by Nebuchadnezzar, they found a very different god. They discovered the pantheistic god of the east—a world force who is “great” not because he loves or is good, but because of his pervasive power everywhere. The ancient Pharisees liked this “god” because he did not disapprove of their perversion of Jehovah’s laws. The Pharisees of Babylon created an elaborate secret theology for the Jews called “Kabbalah”’. 181
Thus Phariseeism has its roots in this ancient period, and eventually the Pharisees became the established group with which we are more familiar. 182 Can you appreciate the importance of what we have argued? What we have here is a false Jewish belief system, with links to the pantheistic Babylonian mystery religions. In the previous chapter I wrote that some New Testament scholars have recognised the religious connotations of Mystery Babylon, including its association to the occult mystery religions so I have now verified these claims. Indeed Irene Belyeu actually cites Cabbalism as an example of this. ‘There was a Jewish Gnosticism that flourished among the unbelievers and rebellious. Acts 13v6 reports that there was “a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet, named Bar-Jesus.” This strain of “Judaism” developed into the later “Jewish” cults of the Cabbalists and the magical occultic practices of the Zohar, which are still extant to this day’. 183
What Belyeu has not appreciated is that Cabbalism also existed in certain forms before Jewish Gnosticism arose; it was actually the forerunner to Gnosticism in general. I also believe that these ‘mystery religions’ or ‘mysteries’ which influenced Cabbalism, also worked their way into a number of later belief systems, including Freemasonry. As I will demonstrate in due course, high degree Masonic scholars freely admit that Cabbalism and the mysteries are at the heart of Freemasonry. If so, then the inter-dependency between them all becomes clear, as well as their relevance to ‘Mystery Babylon’. Further, Cabbalism, and its association with the mystery religions, means that it is also secretive. Secrecy was very much part of these mysteries because the very nature of them was esoteric and mysterious. Besides, the word ‘mystery’ comes from the Greek word which means to ‘close the mouth’. Once again then we have similarities with Freemasonry with its visible and invisible secretive sides. to a table which explains and compares the relationship between these early religions, with a timeline, can be found there too. 187 It is worth noting that by the time of Christ these secret and unbiblical teachings existed. Eminent Christian-Hebrew historian Alfred Edersheim wrote: ‘It is undeniable that already at the time of Jesus Christ, there existed an assemblage of doctrines and speculations that were carefully concealed from the multitude. They were not even revealed to ordinary scholars… This kind bore the name of Kabbala…’ 188
In closing, before we look at the specific teaching of Cabbalism, a case can be made to show that the main beliefs of Cabbalism find confirmation in The Talmud. As the Jewish Encyclopaedia observes: ‘the Cabbala is not really in opposition to the Talmud’, and ‘many Talmudic Jews have supported and contributed to it’. 189 The Talmud also refers to certain Rabbis who studied books within Cabbalist tradition, which I have checked through an on-line Talmud. 190 For an extended discussion about Cabbalism and The Talmud and how they relate to the Bible, other articles will give support. 191
In summary Cabbalism is, in essence, a mystical Judaism, using contemplation and illumination to understand the deeper things of ‘God’. It has associations with the Babylonian mystery religions, as well as earlier influences, and links with Eastern mysticism, Persian wisdom and ‘magic’. Astrology is also very much part of it, even Tarot cards. To use a modern ‘loaded’ term, one could call Cabbalism a sort of New Age Judaism. Maybe describing it that way might help someone to appreciate the essence of its teaching. The following sections are likely to be difficult for some readers. Cabbalism is weird, it is hard to understand and almost impenetrable. If you find the following difficult then do not overly concern yourself. What I am trying to do is simply inform the reader of the essentials of Cabbalism so that they can appreciate its importance with regard to this book and the end times picture. Cabbalism – its breadth and the messianic current There are many different emphases within Cabbalism with some strands of Cabbalism having a more ‘messianic’ orientation. By that I mean that there are those within Cabbalism who believe in a messianic age and a messiah figure finally reigning. Cabbalist thought took on a particular direction from approximately 1492 onwards under the archCabbalist Isaac Luria (Lurianic Cabbalism). The work by the unparalleled international authority, the late Professor of Jewish mysticism, Gershom Scholem, demonstrates the historical development of this through the Jewish troubles in Spain which ‘helped merge the apocalyptic and Messianic elements of Judaism with the traditional aspects of Cabbalism’. 192 This messianism developed further under the highly controversial man Sabbatai Zevi (1625-1676) and his prophet Nathan of Gaza, which created Sabbatianism. This messianism then continued under Jacob Frank from the 1750s onwards whose followers were called Frankists. ‘the popular conception of Messianism and national restoration was transformed into a drama of cosmic importance...’ [Redemption thus became] ‘...a transformation of the essence of Creation... a radical change in the structure of the Universe’. 193 (My emphasis).
This messianic Cabbalism finally found expression within modern day Jewish Hasidism - a branch of Judaism which has links with Orthodox Judaism. There are those within Hasidism who are desirous of a Cabbalist messiah, although there are others who are less orientated toward this. In Cabbalist thought the belief is that the way for the messiah needs to be prepared in advance, whereas in normal Orthodox Judaism the belief is that the messiah will come by his own power. In contrast, Reform or Conservative Jews tend to disbelieve in a coming messiah, although within all these groups globalist-minded Jews will appear. In Israel, the small town of Safed is a centre for Cabbalism and mysticism, as it has been since the 16th century. AS ABOVE, SO BELOW I have already argued that at the heart of Cabbalism is pantheism with its belief that the god force permeates everything in the entire Universe. Cabbalism teaches that there is a direct relationship between the god force and everything else. What happens to this force affects us, and what happens to us affects this force. They act in correspondence to each other. A very famous phrase which sums up this view, a phrase which is widely used in occult circles and magic, is the term ‘as above, so below’, which as you will recall, relates to Nimrod’s period. 194 195 196 Cabbalism is closely related to another occultic belief system, called Hermetic Philosophy. Not surprisingly then, within Hermeticism, we find the same phrase: ‘that which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the marvels of the One Thing’. This phrase is taken from Hermetic Philosophy’s renowned book ‘The Emerald Tablet’. So, that which is on the microscopic level, affects that which is on the macroscopic level and vice versa. Down even to the smallest microscopic atom there is a relationship with the macroscopic Universe and vice versa; they lie within each other. Man mirrors the cosmos and vice versa. Together they evolve onwards to their end goal of universal perfection. It is about the oneness of all things – it is highly ‘New Age’. Mankind creates his own ‘heaven on earth’, without the Creator, without the God of the Bible. These comments are precisely in keeping with the quotation from Gershom Scholem’s work above, where he referred to the transformation of the essence of Creation. Cabbalism has the end goal of perfecting the world and mankind through this spiritual evolutionary process. In Hebrew this is called tikkun olam (the repair of the earth). Cabbalism is about the forces interacting, working together, influencing each other; evolving onwards to perfection. It is innately global, in its spiritual beliefs, to use a modern term. Cabbalism, like many of the other belief systems we shall look at, desires to ‘immanentise the Eschaton’, which may be more easily understood by the phrase: ‘heaven on earth within history’. Christian teaching often holds that this will occur after Jesus returns, but not so in Cabbalism.

SHEKINAH A word that is sometimes used in the Christian community is Shekinah. Christians often use this word to refer to the holy, glorious presence of God’s Spirit in their midst. But the Shekinah of God in Cabbalism is actually the feminine part of the god force. The Cabbalist god is therefore masculine and feminine. So, what we have here is another Babylonian concept; a feminine spirituality. In fact, more than this, the religious Jewish community itself is the Shekinah; the Jewish community therefore has divinity within itself. The Jewish community literally is a feminine expression of the Cabbalist God’s divinity. So, when the Jews left Judea and went into exile becoming The Diaspora, from AD70 onwards, Cabbalist’s believe that part of God was exiled too, his feminine part. The authority on Cabbalism, Dr. Charles Poncé makes this point very clear. 197
This Cabbalist belief about the inherent divinity of the Jews is also a point that Miller makes. 198 199 Similar beliefs can be found within Hinduism and the New Age religion, which, incidentally, also have some linkages with the mystery religions. (Hinduism, New Ageism and Buddhism have polytheistic expressions, but they are often linked with pantheism). Because the community is seen in this divine way, Cabbalists believe that man is solely responsible for his own redemption; with each man and woman needing to reach godhead. Within Cabbalism people are evolving on into perfection, as the god force outworks itself in their lives and world. No Saviour, no atonement and no suffering Messiah are needed. It is quite extraordinary that such views have come through certain Jews, who are supposed to honour the teaching of the Old Testament as the Word of God! MALKUTH Cabbalism’s ‘God’ is an unknowable being called the ‘En-Sof’, who is greater than the God of the Old Testament, according to their thinking. En-Sof means ‘without end’. En-Sof is very much like Brahman of Hinduism in its unknowability and infinity. Cabbalism uses lots of symbolism to aid understanding. One of its primary symbols is the ‘Tree of Life’ or the ‘Sefiroth’. This Sefiroth has a number of expressions, the first one being ‘kether’ (the crown) in which the plan of the entire universe is contained. One could regard this as the ‘as above’ part of our phrase. The final expression of the Sefiroth is ‘malkuth’. Malkuth means ‘kingdom’ and it relates to the real physical world, to matter and substance. It is directly associated to our World, the Earth, the Universe and us. One could regard this as the ‘as below’ part of our phrase. So, we can see here through the symbol of the tree, the ‘as above, so below’ belief, being represented. Poncé writes that ‘the Sefiroth are a bridge connecting the finite universe with the infinite God’. 200 Albert Pike, 33rd degree Freemason, also makes similar remarks about malkuth, using the symbol of back to back diamonds. Diamonds are of course two triangles joined together - there are six in total. 201 The Sefiroth is also linked with the signs of the Zodiac and astrology, as well as the motions of the planets of the solar system. The Cabbalist uses this symbolic tree in order to ‘experience’ something of this En-Sof god; he works his way up through its various expressions. Likewise this unknowable god expresses itself down through this Sefiroth. activity. For some additional information about the En-Sof and malkuth, please read these endnotes. 202 203
Further, according to Reverend Ted Pike’s analysis, the ‘malkuth’ or kingdom has a particular expression through the land of modern day Israel. 204 Does this view make sense in the light of what we know? Yes it does. Because Cabbalism regards the Jewish community as the (Shekinah) femininity of God, then when they returned back to Israel from their exile throughout the world and re-created the physical malkuth kingdom, the masculinity and femininity of their god was re-united again in the land of Israel. Earlier I quoted from Scholem with regard to certain Cabbalist ambitions for ‘national restoration’ and here we have further support for this. So the reformation of Israel is central to Cabbalist thought and beliefs! Interestingly Zolar, whose work I have used in this chapter, also calls this Shekinah ‘Queen’ and ‘Bride’ he also concludes that this Queen has a kingdom called ‘Zion’. This gives further support to the view that Israel is a fulfilment of Cabbalist teaching. 205 In Jeremiah 7v18; 44v17-25 a Babylonian goddess, probably Asherah, is mentioned, who is called ‘Queen of Heaven’. Is there a deeper more hidden Cabbalist connection here, compared with that which is normally understood by this pagan goddess at the time of Jeremiah? Bearing in mind the masculinity and femininity of the En–Sof god, we can appreciate why the sex acts between males and females are like a mirror of this belief. The Shekinah hovers over the marriage bed, as the male and female become one together. 206 207 208 Obelisks are found in many beliefs systems, including Cabbalism, so it is relevant to note that the word obelisk actually means “Baal’s Shaft” or “Baal’s reproductive organ”. THE STAR OF DAVID Remarkably, there is one particular symbol that symbolises the ‘as above, so below’ belief. It is commonly called The Star of David! 209 210 211 That may be earth shattering news for some! It is quite obvious that this above and below concept are represented by it, when you think about its shape. The Star probably came into Cabbalism through ‘Practical Cabbalism’ which is directly linked to Jewish magic and occultism.

The downward pointing triangle represents the affect from above; the upward pointing triangle represents the affect from below. You will also notice how the triangles interlock, a symbolic way of showing how the two forces relate together and are part of each other. The interlocking of the triangles expresses the belief that eventually the two forces will come together as one - synthesised together - the final end goal of the perfection of the forces reached. This supports and deepens my earlier comments about the ‘as above, so below’ term, and the evolution of the world on into perfection. The Star of David is also called the ‘hexagram’, the six pointed star. In Freemasonry, this star is also used, but is called the ‘Seal of Solomon’ or even ‘David’s Shield’. It has also been called the ‘Talisman of Saturn’. 212
Astrologically Saturn is highly occultic and close to ‘Satan’ in pronunciation. It is where the word ‘Saturday’ comes from. But this star, the so called Star of David, which is draped across every flag in Israel and appears in numerous usages within that country and across the world, is without doubt from the world of the occult. It is worth noting that the word ‘hexagram’ is related to the word ‘hex’, which means to ‘curse’.
A corresponding symbol which essentially expresses the same spirituality is the occult ‘yin and yang’ from Taoism. The opposing forces of white and black are linked together in the circle, with the white in the black and the black in the white; the synthesis of the forces being the result. Within Freemasonry, not only do we have the Star of David, but also the ‘double headed eagle’. The eagle has two heads on the one bird, looking left and right at the same time. end goal reached. 213 214 In Alchemy this could be called ‘The Philosopher’s Stone’, the transformation of man into a higher being. 215 (Perhaps we can now appreciate why the fictional Harry Potter books may not be so innocent after all). 216 217 In philosophical terms this could be represented by the ‘thesis’ and ‘antithesis’ process, out of which the ‘synthesis’ comes – these are important terms for later on. To map that concept onto the Star of David one could argue that the upward triangle is the thesis, the downward the antithesis, and the interlocking together of both triangles, the synthesis. The black and white checkerboard floors of the Masonic lodge could be another example. Indeed the concept of Maat in the Egyptian mystery teachings, of the balancing out of the forces, also has certain correlations. Zoroastrianism has some overlap with this type of thinking too. This mode of spirituality is common within pantheistic forms. Further proof of the occult nature of the Star of David is found in its usage within the Hermetic Philosophy, which I referred to earlier. 218 Recently in the ‘Jerusalem Post’ newspaper a company called ‘Kabbalah 72’ has been advertising the sale of Cabbalist jewellery. Virtually all the items advertised were based on the ‘Star of David’.
The Star of David, the Magen David, is probably the most important symbol in Cabbalism and is regularly seen in the pages of the books I have used, as well as being a feature in my Freemasonry encyclopaedias. It can also be used as a Sigil - a symbol created for specific magical purposes. Triangles, diamonds, circles, five, six, seven and eight pointed stars, the sun and obelisks are common features within Cabbalism too. These demonic symbols are also found in Hinduism, Ritual Magic, astrology and many other false religious systems. amazed by the mass of geometric diagrams it contains, incorporating these very symbols into its system. Similarities between Cabbalism, Buddhism and Hinduism are also clear and reincarnation, Gilgul, is also a feature. If further proof about the evils of Cabbalism were needed, Albert Mackey, 33rd degree Freemason, details the usage of the Star of David in many false religious belief systems. 219 This above and below, upward and downward view, is supported by one of the most important Cabbalist organisations: ‘The Cabbala Education and Research Institute’. In one of its articles we discover that: ‘There are two parallel worlds – the upper world and our world. Everything that happens in the upper world, comes down to ours. They are built in perfect match to one another… Thus, everything in our world, from atomic motion to the movement of thought, is no more than a consequence of the (instructions of the) upper forces. There is a certain spiritual force that operates on every part in our universe’. 220
THE STAR OF DAVID IS NOT ‘JEWISH’ – IT IS CABBALISTIC It is sensible at this point to quote Messianic Jew, Dr. O. J. Graham from her book, ‘The Star of David, its origin and use’. Incidentally, the Jewish Graham initially started out to prove the acceptability of the Star of David, but after years of analysis concluded otherwise. She clearly demonstrates that ‘there is no historical record to show that the Jews used this symbol. The only records show they were Cabbalists…’ citing the Encyclopaedia Judaica, amongst others, in defence. 221 222 Occultist and ‘New Ager’ Wayne Chandler in his book ‘Ancient Future’, also comments on the Star and its Cabbalist connection. He also provides a wider exp ression for its meaning when he wrote: ‘Its origin and meaning are far more auspicious than that of an emblem to categorise a particular creed or group of human beings. What is ironic is that this symbol has been regarded as officially Jewish only for about a century. The hexagram reached Judaism via eastern Tantric influences on medieval Jewish cabbalists, who chose to elaborate on the union of God and his female counterpart, Shekina. Historically, at the time the biblical stories were being spun about David and Solomon, this star had nothing to do with the Jewish people, but had been previously employed in cultures such as India and Egypt for more than 2000 years’. 223
Chandler goes on to refer to it in Hermetic, Buddhist, Hindu and Jain contexts thereafter, specifying the god Vishnu; the cosmic union between Kali and Shiva, male and female forces respectively. The Star of David is also used in Theosophy too, the forerunner to modern New Ageism. These are by no means the end of the star’s usage and background either. I have even found its usage in New Age, pseudoChristian circles, as the book ‘The Lost Magic of Christianity’ by Michael Poynder shows. Indeed one article argues, by drawing upon the famous ‘Ridpath’s History of the World’ that the hexagram can possibly be traced all the way back to Nimrod, representing the sun-god Shemesh. Shemesh is probably linked with the sun-god Shamash of Nimrod’s period. 224 Final irrefutable proof of its occult background is from Professor Gershom Scholem in the article ‘The Star of David: history of a symbol’. He categorically states: ‘the hexagram is not a Jewish symbol, much less “the symbol of Judaism”’. Remarkably he also adds that the male and female aspects of the Cabbalist God, is referred to as ‘“the First Cause”, which was worshipped by Pharaoh, Nimrod and the wise men of India alike’! My emphasis. 225 Where on earth in the Bible is the symbol of a star ever used for the Jews? Menorahs are found - but not stars! Something has gone wrong within world Jewry for this symbol to be used for Judaism. It is the Cabbalist influence that has caused this occultism to arise within her. in the macro, all surrounded by a coiled snake. This image is taken from the famous occultist Eliphas Levi’s work.
THE CABBALIST MESSIAH I have already argued that there is a messianic element within Cabbalism, particularly through Jewish Hasidism. But the importance of the return of the Jews to Israel also relates to this and to the coming of the Cabbalist messiah. The aforementioned ‘Cabbala Education and Research Institute’ gives details of this in their article which I quoted from earlier. The article explains that the return of the Jews to the land of Israel after their exile since AD70 was not only predicted by the Cabbalists, but is also associated to the appearance of their messiah. 226 According to this article these things were calculated and predicted by that infamous Cabbalist book The Zohar and its Cabbalist interpreters! By the way I ought to point out the obvious - their ‘messiah’ is not Jesus, the true Messiah.
Within Hasidism one very important international body which is highly connected to Cabbalist messianic thought is Chabad-Lubavitch – the ‘Lubavitchers’. 227 According to the late Rabbi (Rebbe) Schneerson who headed up the organisation, ‘the Jewish people and God are wholly one’. toward and praying for the complete fulfilment of the confirmed Messiah. In each generation there is only one spiritual leader of Jewry – and if a generation merits redemption – this individual becomes the messiah’. 228 229 There is even a film of Rebbe enjoying the singing of lots of children calling for Moshiach’s (Messiah’s) coming. 230 David Bay of Cutting Edge Ministry, who is fully supportive of the Jewish rights of return to the land of Israel and its prophetic relevance, wrote: ‘when the Antichrist arises, he shall be basing his practise of the occult on the Jewish Cabbala’. He also stated that Cabbala is the keystone of all Western occult thought and practice, which confirms one of my earlier quotations. 231 The Messianic Jewish organisation ‘the Seed of Abraham’, which provides a Hebraic understanding of Jesus, is also helpful. It is run by full time Jewish pastor Avram Yehoshua and his articles also demonstrate the Cabbalist intention for the messiah, as well as the error of the Magen David, the Star of David. 232 THE CABBALIST MESSIAH, THE STAR OF DAVID AND THE PERFECTION OF THE WORLD According to Professor Scholem the Star of David within Sabbatian thinking became a ‘symbol of the vision of [the] Messianic redemption’. 233 As that is so we can now appreciate how highly relevant this is because the Star has now been proven to be linked with the coming of the Cabbalist messiah! Remarkably Scholem also teaches that within Sabbatianism the belief is that some sparks of the divine light from the Cabbalist god, the En-Sof, fell into the abyss, the Kelipoth. Along with these sparks fell the soul of the Cabbalist messiah, which at this time, is being tormented by various serpents. Finally, the holy serpent, which is the messiah, is freed from this abyss, only when the process of the repair of the earth, the aforementioned tikkun olam, is generally finished. Then ‘the soul of the Messiah will leave its prison and reveal itself to the world in an earthly incarnation’. 234 (My emphasis). Indeed, certain individuals on the earth, specific Cabbalists, are able to aid the release of the messiah, the serpent. One can now appreciate the relevance of the previous picture and the coiled snake. Of course in the Bible, the serpent is normally an image of Satan, the Dragon or Lucifer. I remind the reader that these extraordinary teachings come from the most eminent teacher of Jewish Mysticism that there has probably ever been. Clearly an understanding of these things is a vital component of the end times picture. So far this chapter has taught some highly important claims with reference to the modern land of Israel and the return of the Jews to that place. The re-birth of Israel is a fulfilment of prophecy in the Bible, as I have taught. But, modern Israel is also the fulfilment of demonic Cabbalism; beliefs which have come true in the 20th century. Moreover, because this is associated with the return of their false ‘messiah’, these facts have great relevance to end times prophecy and matters pertaining to the end times Beasts. Further, within Sabbatean and Frankist forms of Cabbalism is the view that evil can be used in order to bring about good, which is clearly contrary to biblical thought. 235 Bearing in mind the prophesied state of the world before Jesus returns, with its increase in evil and of the Great Tribulation itself, we have corresponding concepts – evil will be used to aid the rise of the Beast to power. Thus the Cabbalist can be highly secular and sinful in his dealings, attitudes and world view. That is why I have discovered Cabbalist philosophies at work behind other ideologies such as Communism. As long as the world evolves onward toward their desired state, it does not matter whether other ideologies are used to aid that. 236 Indeed when two American arch-Dispensationalists who are fully pro-Israel and not anti-Semitic in any way, stated that they believe the Antichrist (Beast) will be of Jewish descent, then we need to take notice. These claims were made by John Hagee and the late Jerry Falwell. 237 Bearing in mind the teaching of this chapter, these are interesting if not controversial observations.

Cabbalism also has other profound parallels with end times prophecy. In fact the following details have enabled me to finally accept the legitimacy of Cabbalism as part of the fulfilment of end times prophecy, however controversial it is because of its association with the Jewish people. THIRD TEMPLE Cabbalism desires that the Temple should be re-built in Jerusalem! The belief in a ‘Third Temple’, another Jewish Temple, is a significant part of Cabbalist thought. If one searches the Chabad-Lubavitch website they will find many articles written by certain Rabbis to do with Moshiach (Messiah), and the importance of him rebuilding the Temple. 238 The ‘Cabbala Education and Research Institute’ also details that the messiah’s coming relates to the Third Temple being constructed. It informs us that before the Temple can be built, the Temple must first be built in the hearts of people, before it can be built in stone. 239 This is a similar concept to the spiritual building of Solomon’s Temple in Freemasons’ lives. Likewise the Institute also suggests a way in which this Third Temple could be re-built in the last generation. 240 The article details how the building of a new society, the uniting of nations and religions of the world, and the re-ordering of those religions, would be a way of aiding the re-building of this Temple. Further, Jewish writer Dr. Makow insightfully concludes about the Cabbalist messiah: ‘[The Messiah’s] reign over the Universe will be obtained by the unification of the human races and through the elimination of frontiers. A Universal Republic will come into being in which the Sons of Israel will become the directing element’. 241 (My emphasis).
Essentially then, Cabbalism has a pluralistic, syncretistic view toward religions; a global unification of world spiritualities. Once again then, the unifying power of Babylonianism is seen in these facts. These views are typically New Age and correspond to certain beliefs within Freemasonry too. Earlier I referred to apostate Jews and that Jerusalem will be the end times ‘Babylon’. We now have additional information why this is so. Cabbalist Jews, like their forbears from ancient Babylon, are prostituting themselves with Babylonian teaching. The Jewish organisation listed under this next endnote also has a section on the Third Temple, and its teachers also believe that it will be constructed at the time when their messiah comes. A picture of the model of The Third Temple is also provided. They use familiar ‘as above, so below’ language, and their comments also have the same ‘spirit of the Age’, ‘everyone-uniting-together’ sense about it. ‘This (the third temple) is the holy place where G-d’s indwelling presence, the Shechinah, will be consciously present. This is the place where Heaven touches Earth and where Earth touches the Heavens. It will be a house of blessing for all mankind for there all mankind will experience and see the physical evidence of G-d’s Al-mighty absolute presence’. 242 My parenthesis for explanation, and italics for emphasis. (G-d means God, but is a Jewish way of writing ‘God’ to maintain reverence).
Chabad also supports this stance as the article ‘Between the Temples’, written by Rabbi Moshe Chaim, makes clear. ‘The Heavenly Temple (which is above) will not be uprooted from its place. Rather, it will extend until it reaches the lower world, and then around it will be built a physical structure at fitting in this material world, and the two structures will be joined and become one and will never again separate. G-d’s glory will be fully revealed there’. 243 (My parenthesis and addition for explanation).

Likewise the ‘Temple Mount Faithful’ group, founded by Gershon Salomon, is deeply committed to rebuilding the Temple, and refers to Cabbalism in its articles. 244 They wrote to Pope John Paul II in 2004, asking him to return the Temple vessels to Jerusalem and have also gloried in a recent earthquake which damaged the Western Wall, which they believed to be an outworking of the prophetic end time promises, with regard to the Temple area being returned to them. 245 ‘The Temple Institute’ also desires to re-build the Temple. 246 How directly involved with Cabbalism this last group is, I do not know; I have not come across any information to suggest that they are. However, they are still supportive of constructing a Third Temple, which will aid this Cabbalist ambition nevertheless. Many Muslims, particularly Palestinian Muslims, are very concerned about the prospect of a Third Temple being built, according to certain reports that I have read. The ‘International Christian Embassy Jerusalem’, (ICEJ), on Thursday July 30th 2009, stated that: ‘In another remarkable finding, two-thirds of Israelis would like to see the Temple rebuilt, according to the YnetGesher survey released today. Some 64 percent of Israeli adults surveyed, including about 47 percent of secular Israelis, said they would like to see the Temple in Jerusalem rebuilt. Eighty percent of respondents said they think it is justified to mark an event that happened 2,000 years ago, while 13 percent said only events related to the modern state of Israel should be marked’.
With there being almost more Jews in Israel now than there are in the rest of the world, this is an important observation. Many of them will not be Cabbalists - probably desiring the rebuilding of the Temple for other more orthodox reasons – nevertheless this will serve the end times agenda. Pertinently, the renowned Cabbalist the Vilna Gaon, a distinguished and authoritative Rabbi from the 18th century, predicted that construction of the Third Temple would begin on March 16th 2010. He also taught that the number 666 contains hidden within it ‘exalted and lofty messianic potential’! 247

Earlier I referred to the Shimon Bar Kochba rebellion in 135BC, who was like a messiah figure for the Jews, and that Kochba also desired to rebuild the Temple. It may interest you to know that Kochba’s spiritual leader was a Cabbalist, his name - Rabbi Akiva. Interestingly Bar Kochba means ‘son of a star’! 248 The trait of Cabbalism is always the desire to rebuild the Temple and the coming of its messiah. As it was in the early 2nd century, so it is in the 21st century! Surely there is nothing new under the sun. NUMEROLOGY Cabbalism also uses the Old Testament to discover hidden meanings in its text. Numerical value of words is important to Cabbalism - numerology. I suggest, therefore, that Christians who study Christian numerology ought to be careful with this area of study. Within Cabbalism the belief is that within these numbers there is a latent charge of energy. They were often called ‘seals’, acting as cross stitches in the fabric of reality, sealing or meshing it together. These numbers and symbols could also be activated by the Cabbalist, and he would use them so that change could occur in the world. 249 Not surprisingly then, we find that Cabbalist numerical calculations are part of how the Cabbalists’ determine and predict events, such as those named above, some of which can be observed in the sources I have referred to. Essentially they believe that the Hebrew alphabet has force-carrying energy patterns within it, which serve as the building blocks of the cosmos. Through them the Cabbalist can transcend the space and time limitations of the physical world and realise their ‘inner divinity’. THE GLOBAL DIMENSION – THE PERFECTING OF THE WORLD The argument presented proves that the perfecting of the world is also at the heart of Cabbalism. However, this can be demonstrated further. I would like to raise a supporting observation I have made about the term ‘malkuth’. As we know, malkuth means kingdom, and it is related to our physical world, the earth, the universe, as well as to ‘us’ individually and corporately. As that is so Israel, as that kingdom, is only one aspect of the fulfilment of this term. Because the term is associated with the World, the Earth as a whole and indeed the Universe, then its outworking will be greater than just Israel. In other words, Cabbalism has a global view as its complete fulfilment. If so, the ultimate ‘as above, so below’, would incorporate not just Israel, but the whole Earth, and indeed beyond. The international Jewish educational school, the Ohr Somayach, from where I sourced the aforementioned details about the number 666 and its ‘lofty messianic potential’, also informs us that: ‘The number 666 could thus represent the strength and perfection of the physical world, which Judaism teaches will occur in the messianic era, when the physical world will reach its ultimate purpose, to be a vehicle through which the created experience the Creator’. 250 My emphasis. Cabbalists believe that their ‘messiah’ will return the glory that King Solomon had, to Israel, and that God’s Kingdom will once again be a kingdom of this world. In keeping with the above, the Christian writer Texe Marrs, who specialises in understanding the occult, claims that by working the Cabbala, Cabbalist Rabbis believe that the earth may be rebuilt and perfected, resulting in the perfect Jewish kingdom, ruled by a Cabbalist Master. 251 252 Messianic Jewish Pastor, Cohen Reckhart, has written a lengthy article about the rapture and Cabbalism, and he also argues the same position. 253 Indeed, if this occurs, it would also be a fulfilment of ‘Mystery Babylon’, which has worldwide power in Revelation 17, and associated to the roles of the Beast and False Prophet in Jerusalem. SUMMARY So, Israel sits under the demonic Cabbalist Star of David! The Cabbalist God has established something of his kingdom, his malkuth, on earth through the re-formation of Israel. Clearly then the Star of David is more than just a symbol, because Israel is a physical entity, with real people living in its land; the Shekinah has come home, re-united with its false god. This Cabbalist Star is at the heart of Israel’s identity, whether many of those living in the land realise its implications or not. Cabbalism also directly teaches about the importance of Israel re-forming through the Jews returning from exile from the late 19th century onwards, a (false) messiah and a Third Temple, as well as the uniting of nations and religions together. All these are part of its core beliefs and are precisely Babylonian as our previous chapter made clear. With biblical prophecy referring to a rebuilt Temple before the return of Jesus, upon the throne of which the abomination that causes desolation, the first Beast, the Lawless One will sit, such information is concerning. Israel then, under its Cabbalist sign of the Star of David, alongside the view of Cabbalism’s ambition for the perfecting of the world under a messiah figure, is actual physical evidence before our eyes of the desire for a World Empire. Cabbalism is, I believe, simply part of this, not the whole; there are other belief systems yet to be studied. But one thing is clear: Israel and Jerusalem will be central to the end times scenario, with influence over all other nations. It is out from this place that the end times global rule of the Beasts of Revelation 13 will flow. As this book progresses we will discover even more evidence that Israel and Jerusalem is very much part of the globalisation process today. Babylonianism with its pantheistic forces and its association with Cabbalism, are outworking in our world, pushing it forward along its supposed evolutionary cycle towards a World Empire; a perfected world. This process towards a perfect world, in which Man will also be perfected, is an integral part of Cabbalism. And, as we shall see, this evolutionary teaching is also part of the higher levels within Freemasonry, because of its direct association to Cabbalist ideology. I shall detail this in the next chapter. It is highly unlikely that everyone practising Cabbalism is aware of its deeper meanings. Many in Hollywood practise Cabbalistic mysticism today, and no doubt it will be at different degrees and levels of involvement. Madonna is one, and as far as I am aware so are Catherine Zeta Jones, Britney Spears, as are the actors from Seinfeld. 255 There are numerous others; it is the fashion. In fact according to an AFP news report, Madonna has tried to buy a house in Israel because she is waiting for the Cabbalist Messiah to come. 256 Perhaps in Jesus’ time certain Pharisees and leaders of the Jews secretly believed in an early form of Cabbalism. If so, on the outside, publicly, they would act like proper followers of Judaism, but secretly, behind closed doors, they believed very differently. Perhaps that is why Jesus was so harsh towards the Pharisees and rebellious Jews, for example John 8v13, 42-41, Revelation 2v9, 13. No wonder Ezekiel wrote what he did about Judah whilst in exile with her in Babylon. He loathed what he saw, describing Judah as a prostitute because of her intermingling with the Babylonian people and their beliefs, Ezekiel 6-8, 16, 22-23. It is important to inform you that the teaching of Cabbalism can be traced from Babylon, to the Essene monks at Qumran (a place in the desert near the Dead Sea). Then it went on into Alexandria which was a place of learning (for Christians too) in the ancient world. 257 258 It has parallels with Gnosticism; Gnosticism being the belief that special esoteric knowledge is required for one to find salvation. Indeed the book of Colossians deals with a ‘Gnostic Heresy’ in the Church, which I believe had connotations with earlier Cabbalistic thought. 259

FINAL THOUGHTS I am aware that these are shocking statements, because many of us probably had no idea that Jews could ever believe in something like Cabbalism, presumably because we thought that many Jews held to Old Testament orthodox teaching. The awful fact is that there are Jews in Israel and the world being beguiled by this Babylonian Cabbalism. There are of course, many secular Jews who do not adhere to any of the above, and there are Torah observant Jews who reject such teaching. But, there are many Jews who do not reject Cabbalism’s teaching or The Talmud’s for that matter. As this book continues you will read about how many other belief systems, even certain forms of science, are based upon this ancient Babylonianism. Israel Domb, in his book ‘The Transformation’, describes the ‘shattering situation of contemporary Judaism in which ninety-five percent of the Jewish people have been removed from the way of the Torah’. Domb then continues to describe the near extinction of Torah Judaism among world Jewry, something which he says few Gentiles are aware of. 260 There is great deception at work within the world and it also exists within Jewry. Modern Israel is the fulfilment of Cabbalism, and she sits under its sign through the Israeli flag. And, as we shall see in the coming chapters, this belief system is held to by certain people in global positions of power; positions that change the shape of this world and its future. Indeed it is believed by the very people who were behind the formation of modern Israel! However, I also believe that modern Israel has been re-formed because it is part of God’s plan - the literal fulfilment of many prophecies and the Abrahamic covenant. I hold to this view even in the light of this chapter. I believe that God is honouring those ancient promises he made to the true Jewish race of Abraham’s line, for the sake of his Name, even if many of them have incorrect beliefs at this time. He has been sovereign over the affairs of men and allowed Israel to be re-formed for his purposes! And with Israel re-formed, we can now watch and pray and see the rest of God’s promises come true. In the remnant of the Jews of Abraham’s line, a revelation will take place, as is already gradually happening. Within that group God will cause a stirring, deep in their souls. That remnant group will seek the true Messiah and in his mercy God will give to them a revelation of who that true Messiah is – and it will be Jesus. It is a repentant response to Jesus which will include a Jew in this remnant, that alone. And so what Paul wrote will come true, ‘all Israel’ shall be saved, Romans 11v26! God has remembered them, because he swore by his own name of Yahweh, that he would never forget them, Genesis 13v14-17, 17v7-9. 3. BABYLONIANISATION II – FREEMASONRY AND OCCULT SECRETS INTRODUCTION Most people have heard of Freemasonry. Many know that its followers use secret handshakes (sometimes regarded as ‘tokens’) and strange passwords; essentially it is a secret society, or perhaps a ‘society with secrets’. In recent years, due to certain amounts of exposure, Freemasonry has tried to be more ‘open’, certainly here in Britain. Nevertheless there still remains a hidden element to it. In fact the exposure has led to a decline in new people becoming Freemasons at the local lodge level, and some members have discussed changing some of the language used in the oaths they make, to aid Masonry’s image; although others are resistant to such moves. The numerical decline may not be so great in other countries of course, such as the USA. For many who belong to these fraternities, to become a Freemason is a way of giving support to the community, furthering one’s business interests and is a sign of achievement. Many Freemasonry fraternities and their lodges raise money for ‘good causes’. I am sure that there are many people associated with Freemasonry who are generous and noble with their support. An example of a lodge supporting good causes is the ‘Northumbria Freemasonry Lodge’ in England. 261 In fact ‘The Supreme Council of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in America, Southern Jurisdiction’, gives money to programmes such as ‘Disaster Relief’. 262 On the surface there are positive expressions to Masonry, even though personally I am disconcerted by its entire belief system. But, there is much more to Freemasonry than just these simple things. My concern lies not with an indictment of individual Masons, but that at the higher levels of Freemasonry, occultism is prevalent and acts as a ‘front’ for a certain global agenda, unbeknown to the majority belonging to The Craft. A case in point would be that nearly all American Presidents have been Freemasons; after all Masonry has been very dominant in America historically. But there have been some Presidents, as well as many other powerful world figures and politicians, who have been Masons in a more occultic illuminised form, who have specifically served a global agenda. Personally I believe that all forms of Freemasonry are occultic, even to the lowest degree, but this deeper form is more concerning. Over the coming chapters, especially as we detail more illuminised forms of Freemasonry, we shall observe the beliefs listed in our earlier table. Pantheism, religious pluralism, empire building, unification on all fronts, are central beliefs within Freemasonry’s broadest expression. ORIGINS The origins of Freemasonry are complex because many strands of different belief systems have become part of it. There is also further complexity within Freemasonry because there are a number of different rites within it. For example, there is a ‘York Rite’, an ‘American Rite’ and the ‘Ancient and Accepted Rite’, sometimes called the ‘Scottish Rite’. There are also some differences between American and British Freemasonry, for example, in some of the designs of the Masonic dress. Initially Freemasonry was simply a fraternity, where builders, stone masons and architects associated together. These associations or guilds can be traced back even to the earliest times; as far back as ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. 263 This is known as Operative Freemasonry. Some have suggested an even earlier date for this; to the time period of Babylon of Genesis 10-11. because modern Freemasonry was not developed until 1717. But Nimrod acts as a ‘type’ within Masonic lore. Nevertheless this is our first minor connection between Freemasonry and Babylon. This aspect of Masonism with its focus on architecture seems fairly innocent, because its objective was mainly about the ordinary matters of building, architecture and construction. However, I do believe that there was some hidden knowledge as part of these fraternities, held by just a few, which was a rudimentary form of the sort of secrecy and philosophy which Freemasonry was later to develop into.
Freemasonry began to progress into a more philosophical form, often called ‘Speculative Masonry’, according to certain historians, from approximately 1682 onwards. 267 At that time those who became Masons were not just men associated with the work of architecture and buildings. 268 That is why, when the Grand Lodge of England was founded in 1717, we discover that this philosophical aspect of Freemasonry was already part of its belief system. 269 The Grand Lodge of Scotland appeared later in 1736. It is this philosophical aspect that many today think of as ‘Freemasonry’. Those who created its philosophical system must have had incredible minds, because the rituals they developed held a deep spirituality that many Masons never appreciate or even begin to know. It is important to realise that Freemasonry cannot easily be separated from this philosophical dimension either. It is this that underpins Masonry and is of particular concern to us. I believe that this philosophical aspect of Freemasonry had always been running, like a thread, alongside the more innocent form of Freemasonry above. This must have been the case, because it would never have been able to appear within The Craft otherwise. 270 Any analysis of its degrees and their different titles, must surely indicate more ancient ‘roots’ or origins than the 1717 period and beyond. the book ‘Secret Destiny of America’, expresses his own view about how these ancient secret beliefs eventually became part of stone masonry and then finally developed into speculative Freemasonry later. 271 For those who require proof of the credibility of my sources, Manly Hall was the finest esoteric scholar of the last century, writing over 200 books – he was probably without parallel to anyone else. This fact is verified by The Supreme Council of Freemasonry and The Philosophical Research Society. 272 JEWISH TERMINOLOGIES AND CABBALISM One of the sources I have used is ‘Secret Societies and Subversive Movements’, by Nesta Webster. Due to her standing before her death, as an eminent British historian, I believe her work is authoritative for us. In fact Webster was even praised by Sir Winston Churchill in 1920. Webster clearly demonstrates repeatedly that these philosophical features of Freemasonry have roots in Jewish thought and in particular Jewish Cabbalism.
It is important to note the term Cabbalism here, because Freemasonry’s origin is not to do with the Jews per se, but with this particular belief system associated to them. Clearly this highlights my earlier point that Freemasonry’s ‘roots’ are linked into certain spiritualities far earlier than the late seventeenth century. This is where our previous chapter about Cabbalism now becomes so very important. Indeed if Cabbalism can be proven to be an influence upon Freemasonry, then we will also have found another more substantial Babylonian element within The Craft, because, as we have seen, Cabbalism went through significant development in that place. But is Webster correct? Granted there are very deep Egyptian and Greek influences within Freemasonry, a fact that needs to be noted. Indeed the symbolisms from these places are a dominant element within Freemasonry, specifically through the ancient ‘mystery schools’ of these countries. But does Jewish Cabbalism and its associated Babylonianism, also play a role? First, the Jewish element can be observed quite simply by noticing that Freemasonry has a particular focus on King Solomon and his architect Hiram, the King of Tyre. This King is mentioned in the Old Testament in the book of 1 Kings 5ff; thus we have a Jewish connection. But Freemasonry extends the biblical teaching and claims that Hiram (known as Abif Hiram to the Masons) created three classes or degrees of Masons: (i) Entered Apprentice, (ii) Fellow Craft and (iii) Master Mason. These degrees were made by Hiram so that he could preserve order during the building of Solomon’s Temple. These three degrees are often known as the ‘Blue Degrees’ because of the colours worn by such Masons; they feature in every lodge and they are standard in every rite of Freemasonry. 273

As far as Solomon and the Temple are concerned, the Jewish connection is deepened by appreciating that Masonism is replete with mention of them, even from the 1st degree, the Entered Apprentice.
According to Masons, Solomon’s Temple also had structural pillars called Boaz and Jachin, and the names of these pillars are also the names of secret passwords for the handshake of the lowest Masonic degree. 274 Masonic handshakes often involve the pressing down of one’s thumb near to or upon a particular knuckle; although there are other types. Further, the Jewish terms Boaz and Jachin also have association with The Sefiroth, the Tree of Life, from Jewish Cabbalism. 275 276 Many believe that these 3 degrees are Freemasonry’s only degrees, but as we shall see, this is inaccurate. 277 278 Relevantly then, the Jewish names Haggai, Joshua and Zerubbabel are part of the Royal Arch Mason’s passwords (7th degree), in the York Rite. According to the book by eminent British Freemason and esoteric philosopher, Walter Wilmshurst, the foreword of which was written by 33rd degree Freemason Robert Davis, the Royal Arch Mason’s rite is technically part of the Master Mason’s degree under the English Constitution. 279 Such Masons meet in ‘Chapters’, yet they are still attached to the regular lodge. Wilmshurst’s work will prove to be a significant contribution herein - in fact his book was only meant to read by Masons. Relevantly one branch of the Supreme Council of Freemasonry has recently invited a Jewish Rabbi to speak about the ‘Feast of Tabernacles’ and how it relates to Freemasonry. 280 Please note the Jewishness within this design, for example the angels and the Ark of the Covenant, on this, the United Grand Lodge of England’s ‘Coat of Arms’.

Rabbi Isaac Wise wrote, in 1855, ‘Freemasonry is a Jewish establishment, whose history, grades, official appointments, passwords, and explanations are Jewish from beginning to end’. 281 Clearly such a statement has great implications and supports the belief that Jewish thought is a significant contributor to the philosophy of Freemasonry. Indeed if you were to look at the Israeli, Jewish Masonic website under this endnote, you will read a number of articles that have great relevance, including one called, ‘Jerusalem: Symbolic Cradle of Freemasonry’, written by Leon Zeldis, 33rd degree Mason, of the Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite for the State of Israel. 282 It is obvious of course that not all Freemasons are Jewish! But am I correct about the specific claim of Freemasonry’s association with Jewish Cabbalism? Thirtythird degree Freemason, Manly Palmer Hall, wrote: ‘The theories of Qabbalism are inextricably interwoven with the tenets of alchemy, Hermeticism, Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry’. 283 Thirty-third degree Freemason, Albert Mackey, also claims that Freemasonry is intimately linked with Cabbalism in his monumental Encyclopedia of Freemasonry. 284 Texe Marrs, a Christian who specialises in the study of occultism, also confirms this in his book Codex Magica, with multiple quotations from a number of sources. 285 Arthur Edward Waite, 33rd degree Freemason, in his encyclopaedia of Freemasonry, also demonstrates the importance of Cabbalism and its association with Freemasonry. 286 Finally another famous 33rd degree Freemason, Albert Pike, writes about the influence of Cabbalism upon Freemasonry when he comments: ‘we produce the speculations of the philosophers, the Cabbalists, the mystagogues and the Gnostics’. 287 Incidentally, the Rosicrucians are an ancient order of secretive mystics, sometimes known as the ‘Rose or Rosy Cross’ (Rose-Croix); the rose being an ancient symbol which, relevantly, can mean ‘secrecy’. The rosette, which is similar, is also associated with fertility goddesses such as Inanna, Astarte and Ishtar.
Clearly this proves that Masonic thought has its ‘roots’ before 1717. It seems to me that these early Cabbalistic doctrines which are associated with the ‘mystery religions’, or ‘mysteries’, from Babylon, as well as Egypt, Rome and Greece, found their way from the Middle East, ‘the cradle of secret societies’, into the Western World. 288 These form the occult spiritual base of Freemasonry. Essentially Freemasonry is a modern expression of these ancient esoteric beliefs that have been in existence since the earliest times. For many Masons this is unknown, but on analysis these facts cannot be denied. With respect to the ‘mysteries’ of ancient societies in general, and their influence within this, Albert Pike not only agrees that Masonry emerged from locations such as Babylonia, but the mysteries themselves also worked their way into Freemasonry. If further proof about the influence of the mysteries upon Masonry were needed, Pike’s ‘Morals and Dogma’ has an index with at least 100 references to them. 292 However, one quotation that will suffice is: ‘Masonry is identical with the Ancient Mysteries…’ 293 Indeed, the aforementioned 33rd degree Freemason Palmer Manly Hall, who was very supportive of Pike in his work, wrote: ‘It is quite incredible that any initiated brother when presented with a copy of Morals and Dogma… can read that volume and yet maintain that his order is not identical with the mystery schools of the first ages’. 294 So, Masonry has direct associations with Cabbalism and the mystery religions in general. Cabbalism itself is independently based upon the mysteries anyway, and so what we have here is great inter-dependence between them, as well as the relevance of Babylon and other places. I wrote earlier that any Jew associated with Cabbalism is apostate and linked to Mystery Babylon and its beliefs. Similarly any Jew who holds to the ‘sister’ belief system of Freemasonry also bears this criticism. Indeed any Gentile who holds to these things is also in error. Cabbalism has influenced other belief systems too, some of which have already been mentioned, such as Gnosticism. Other examples would be the Jewish Essenes and Islamic groups, such as the Ishmailis and the Karmathites. 295 296 Later it influenced some members of the Knights Templar, who were sent out from the Roman Catholic Church in the Middle Ages to Palestine, during The Crusades. 297 One of the most revered figures of the Templars was Grand Master Jacques de Molay. He was accused of worshipping Baphomet, which is the bearded goat image representing the Devil. 298 He was put to death by the King of France on March 11th 1314. 299 A possible linkage between the Knights Templar and Freemasonry can be observed through the artwork at the fascinating ‘Rosslyn Chapel’ near Edinburgh, Scotland. THE HIGHER DEGREES Repeatedly, during this last section I have used the phrase ‘33rd degree’. This is the highest degree in Freemasonry, and this is why I have been quoting from Masonic writers who hold this degree; for the sake of being authoritative. Admittedly these writers’ views are not binding on the entire Masonic community, but their works cannot be viewed as anything less than a proper understanding of the deeper meanings of The Craft. Each writer can be regarded as a Masonic scholar in their own right, which is why they wrote their classics - many of which are still used by Freemasons today as part of their own personal studies.

The term 33rd degree demonstrates that there are more than 3 degrees in Freemasonry, as many have thought. Initially another 22 degrees were added in 1754 many of which, once again, have clear Jewish influence upon the names of their titles, for example, ‘Chief of the Tabernacle’, the 23rd degree. 300 And, amazingly, another 8 were also added, possibly through the influence of Frederick the Great in Prussia from the 1760s onwards, which were finally put in place in 1786. 301 There is debate about this due to uncertainties about Frederick the Great’s involvement with Masonry at that time. However, Albert Pike has argued for this date, as has Webster. There is even evidence that these extra degrees existed from as early as 1748. 302 The name given to the 33 degrees in total is ‘The Ancient and Accepted Rite’, or ‘Scottish Rite’, which I referred to in passing above. 303 304 Interestingly Palmer Hall suggests that there is a direct correlation between this number of degrees and the paths of wisdom in Cabbalism. 305 Freemasons, who attain degrees above the 3rd level, are no longer subject to a provincial or national Grand Lodge but to a Supreme Council. Supreme Councils appear in many countries in the world. In America the most important Supreme Council is the one based at Washington DC, ‘The House of the Temple’, which is thirteen blocks from the White House! Another example would be the one at Charleston, whose members are some of the most powerful men in the world. 306 As Edith Starr Miller wrote: ‘Masons desirous of rising in the ranks of the Fraternity are therefore obliged to enter Ancient and Accepted (Scottish) Rites, Grand Orient… or some other international order which works the higher grades and selects its members from graduates of the original English system’. 307 (My parenthesis).
According to an official publication, the Ancient and Accepted (Scottish) Rite: ‘holds that no degree has a higher value than that of Master Mason, (3rd degree). The instruction given in the Craft degrees is, however, seldom fully grasped by the candidate. He needs further instruction and enlightenment to understand the great truths which Freemasonry possesses and which Freemasonry teaches… a more complete interpretation of the teachings of the Craft degrees, as well as acceptance into a very special fellowship and Brotherhood, can obtain these within the (Ancient and Accepted) Scottish Rite’. My italics and emphasis. 308
In other words, 30 additional degrees are needed in order to understand the true spiritual meaning of the first 3 degrees. The first three degrees could be described as the lesser mysteries - the additional degrees thus enabling the candidate to enter into the greater mysteries. It is regular for Supreme Councils to use a double headed eagle as part of their logo; indeed that is often the logo on the Masonic books I have been quoting from. Sometimes they have ‘illuminated’ or ‘radiated’ triangles above the bird too. Eagles and triangles are dominant symbols within Masonry. Indeed the internationally renowned archaeologist Ernest Martin claims that the eagle was once the symbol of ancient Babylon. 309 It is important to note that comparatively few people attain to the highest degrees. Late Masonic writer, Stephen Knight, wrote that if a Master Mason is contacted by a member of the Supreme Council and then judged suitable to enter onto the ladder of 4th - 33rd degree, very few of them get beyond the 18th degree. ‘With each degree, the number of initiates diminishes. The 31st degree is restricted to 400 members… the 32nd to 180 and the 33rd to only 75 members’ in the United Kingdom. 310 Knight also wrote that the Supreme Council in England has its headquarters at 10, Duke Street, St James’, London, SWI: ‘Nobody walking down Duke Street from Piccadilly is likely to suspect the true nature of what goes on inside the building, even if he or she happens to notice the small plate to the right of the entrance which says, ‘The Supreme Council. Ring once’. Built in 1910-11, this imposing Edwardian mansion with fine neo-classical features might easily be taken for a consulate or the headquarters of some private institute... Nobody looking at that fine but anonymous house from outside could suspect that behind its pleasing facade, beyond the two sets of sturdy double doors and

up the stairs there is a Black Room, a Red Room and a Chamber of Death… To high Masons, the house in Duke Street is known as the Grand East’. 311

As the pictures above and the listings in various directories prove, this is still the address of the Supreme Council. It is listed as ‘Supreme Council 33rd Degree, Clubs & Associations - Social, Leisure & Cultural (Sports, Leisure, Entertainment)’. 312 In Knight’s book the phone number is given, and bearing in mind the London code change that occurred after he published his work, the number matches with the one provided in recent listings. As way of confirmation, a website called the ‘Internet Lodge’, founded by the Masonic Province of East Lancashire, has a section about ‘additional degrees worked in England and Wales’ – there is a table which lists additional Masonic ranks. It is interesting to note that the table proves that the higher degrees are observed by the same Council, as that claimed by Knight, and at the same address. 313 Clearly then they are involved with more than Social, Leisure and Cultural events as their listing in the ‘London online’ suggests. At the time of writing ‘Lord Northampton’ is listed on the home page of this website, a person we shall come across again later. Until March 2009 he was the Pro Grand Master for the United Grand Lodge of England. This role was one of acting on behalf of the Duke of Kent when he was unable to fulfil his Masonic office, due to his royal duties. Lord Northampton has now been superseded by Peter Geoffrey Lowndes. The United Grand Lodge is the main governing body of Freemasonry in England and Wales and many Commonwealth countries; it is the oldest Grand Lodge in the world. It may be of interest to know that there are not any new and forthcoming members within British Royalty at this time, who desire to be Freemasons, and thus continue with the historical Masonic-Royalty association. After the Duke of Kent, as it stands, the link will be severed - presumably until a Royal becomes a Mason and desires the connection once more. As far as I am aware both Prince Philip and Prince Charles are Freemasons; although their involvement with it is very limited. Indeed, both of these men have more relevance to ‘New Age’ ecology and environmental issues, with their language being very supportive of the United Nations agenda, which I shall detail in due course. It is worth noting that there are linkages between Freemasonry and the ‘Order of the Garter’. The Queen heads up this Order, according to her own book, ‘Her Majesty The Queen’. Prince Philip and Prince Charles are also knights within it. 314 George VI, the Queen’s father, was also a member and a Freemason. On 15th June 2008 Prince William became a member of the Garter. According to a number of sources the Order contains some of the highest ranked Masons within its membership. Moreover, chosen members of other European and non-European royal families, and ‘some of the most powerful former and current world leaders’, are also within its organisational structure. 315 316 317 It is probable that the Order of the Garter, like Freemasonry, has visible and invisible sides to it, and is worthy of further study. Finally it is worth noting that Freemasonry is rife within many institutions, albeit many of those Masons will be of the lowest degrees. In Britain, Masonry will be found within The Police (particularly in the Metropolitan Police in London), judicial systems, including Judges and Barristers, in Business and County Councils, the Armed Forces and the Intelligence Services. Indeed, as that is so, is it really surprising to find politicians, people within the higher echelons of government and globalist institutions, who are Freemasons as well? 318 This rhetorical question is worth remembering over the coming chapters. It is also worth noting that women can be accepted within certain Orders associated to Freemasonry, although it is less common. One example is ‘The Order of the Eastern Star’, the world’s largest male and female Masonic society, of about 1 million members. 319 Interestingly Freemasonry has historical ties with Mormonism; Joseph Smith, its founder, was a Freemason. The second endnote I have given for this claim is from an actual Freemasonic website, and I believe I am correct in writing that certain Masonic handshakes and clothing are still worn by Mormons, possibly by those in leadership. 320

MASONIC SPIRITUALITY AND SECRECY On my bookshelf I have ‘Duncan’s Masonic Ritual and Monitor’ and ‘Richardson’s Monitor of Freemasonry’. In them both, details are given about the ceremonies, passwords and handshakes within Freemasonry. Due to the restrictions of space, I am not going to detail these, but it is sufficient to know that the vows used in Masonry are essentially awful ‘curses’. For example, to become an Apprentice Freemason, 1st degree, the candidate must keep certain secrets and in order for him to demonstrate his sincerity, he says the following: ‘binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my throat cut across, my tongue torn out by its roots, my body buried in the rough sands of the seas, at low watermark’. 321 Likewise for the second degree, Fellow Craft, the curses are to do with having one’s breast torn open, heart plucked out and being devoured by vultures. 322 But, what is the underlying spirituality and secrecy behind these bizarre rituals and vows?
Masons refuse to regard Freemasonry as a religion, but it is without doubt ‘religious’. It is also open to anyone who believes in God, from any religion. Thus, Freemasonry is pluralistic, acting as a vehicle that promotes oneness of religion; a unifying force. But, with that stated, there is a deeper spirituality to it, one that will prove itself to be pantheistic. Therefore Freemasonry is ‘Babylonian’ on both these fronts. In fact it is not so much the handshakes and rituals that are the ‘secrets’ within Freemasonry, but the deeper occult spirituality behind them that is. Even the teachings of Jesus, Paul and other New Testament writers are Masonically re-interpreted, which is why we find ‘Christian’ themes within it. But there can be no doubt about its true colours because 33rd degree Freemasonic scholar, Manly Palmer Hall, wrote: ‘The true Mason is not creed-bound. He realises with the divine illumination of his lodge, that as a Mason his religion must be universal: Christ, Buddha or Mohammed. The name means little, for he recognises only the light and not the bearer. He worships at every shrine, bows before every altar, whether in temple, mosque or cathedral, realising with his truer understanding the one-ness of all spiritual truth... No true Mason can be narrow, for his lodge is the divine expression of all broadness’. 323
As one progresses towards Master Mason and indeed to the Royal Arch Mason, the candidate will go through an extraordinary spiritual change. Walter Wilmshurst openly admits in his book ‘The Meaning of Masonry’, that: ‘This – the evolution of man into superman - was always the purpose of the ancient mysteries, and the real purpose of Masonry is not the social and charitable purposes to which so much attention is paid, but the… spiritual evolution of those who aspire to perfect their own nature and transform it into a more godlike quality’. 324 (My italics for emphasis). ‘Thirty-third degree Mason J.D. Buck condenses this contention into one simple statement: “The only personal God Freemasonry accepts is humanity in toto… (that is - in its entirety, in its totality) …Humanity therefore is the only personal god there is”’. 325 My parenthesis for explanation.

Or, as Manly Hall wrote: ‘Man is a god in the making’. 326 This is highly pantheistic - just like Cabbalism and the perfection of man as part of that. This should not surprise us if Cabbalism and the mystery religions are influential upon Masonry. Wilmshurst proceeds and writes that the Royal Arch Mason is called an ‘illumined candidate’, and the condition he attains to is the equivalent of Samadhi in the eastern religions. The candidate is conscious with all that is; the cosmic consciousness. ‘He sees too that there is a universe within as well as without him; that he himself microcosmically sums up and contains... the vast spacial universe around him. He himself is conscious of being the measure of the universe; he realises that the earth, the heavens, and all their contents, are externalisations, projected images, of corresponding realities within himself’. 327 My italics for emphasis.
Wilmshurst also refers to the ‘collective soul’, that mankind was once a perfect whole together, which became fractured after The Fall; although their interpretation of it differs from Christian theology. He believes that Freemasonry is a vehicle through which the reversal of this can be made - the rebuilding of the Temple of fallen humanity; unifying mankind once more. Humanity can be perfected again. This Freemasonic view is not unusual, for example devout Socialist and Freemason H G Wells spoke of the ‘World Brain’, or a ‘Racial Mind’, of perfected ‘Man’, as have others. Science can also be employed as part of this development. 328 As quoted above, the highly revered 33rd degree Freemason J D Buck referred to humanity ‘in toto’ as being the only God in Freemasonry - Man perfected. If one reads what many would regard as the esoteric ramblings of Buck’s work, which touch upon Hindu philosophy too, these comments are simply re-enforced time after time. Buck regularly refers to the ‘Brotherhood of Man’ as well as his desire for a ‘Great Republic, composed of many Nations and all people’. 329 Buck also regards the Freemason Albert Pike very highly and essentially he confirms on every page the details I have written here. Similarly Manly Hall in ‘The Lost Keys of Freemasonry’ supports these facts. Earlier I wrote about the Emerald Tablet of Hermetic Philosophy and its relation to ‘as above, so below’. Interestingly Manly Hall describes how Abif Hiram a central figure within Masonic lore, has a direct relationship to this! Therefore, in the light of this information, we can appreciate how close to the ancient mysteries Freemasonry truly is, as well as its pluralistic and pantheistic world view. Indeed its understanding of man as a microcosm and the universe as the macrocosm, united together, is very similar to the ‘as above, so below’ doctrine we studied within Cabbalism and the associated Star of David. It is not surprising then to find the Star of David, the Seal of Solomon as one of the symbols of the Royal Arch rite! Within Freemasonry the individual is essentially spiritually re-building the Temple of Solomon in their life, which is one of the central tenets of Masonry. ‘The conscious realisation of our divine potentialities’, the ‘human merges in the Divine consciousness and knows as God knows’, and ‘God has become man, and man has become divinised’. 330 Essentially the candidate at this level is being born again spiritually - but not in Jesus Christ I add! In the ritual of the Master Mason, a drama is enacted where the candidate dies and rises again, which simply endorses my previous point. Manly Hall makes it clear that most Masons regard this as ‘based upon the Egyptian rites of Osiris’, (the Egyptian sun god, or an aspect of the sun god’s activity). 331 332 Martin Short also demonstrates this linkage between Masonry and the Egyptian mysteries in his book, ‘Inside the Brotherhood’. 333 A Christian who believes that Freemasonry is acceptable, or that a Mason can be a Christian, needs to seriously consider what I have written. The curses Masons put on themselves are awful and the whole system is demonic at its core even if many enter into it with the desire to do good works in society. Indeed within these first three degrees there is enough hidden occultism to worry anyone with a discerning mind. It is also within the Royal Arch Mason rite that the seemingly lost name of God which the candidates were seeking in earlier degrees, is revealed. The name of this Masonic god is Jahbulun. composite of Jah (from Yahweh in the Old Testament), Bul (for Baal the Babylonian god) and Un (or ‘On’) (Un/On represents Osiris, an Egyptian god). 334 335 In England the name is Jao-Bul–On. 336 This name is called ‘The Grand Omnific Royal Arch Word’.
Interestingly, as part of the Royal Arch rite, three men interlock their arms and legs and create an arch, and repeat the syllables of Jahbulun - Jah-bul-un - 3 times each. 337 That is a total of 27 in all. The number 3 is an occultic number, and clearly the increasing repetition of the syllables creates multiples of 3, of which 27 is one of them. 338 The arch also has 3 triangles incorporated within it; triangles are highly occultic shapes and used within various belief systems. 339 The belief in the occultic value of numbers, which relates to numerology, was popularised under Pythagoras who learnt his philosophies through the Indian, Chaldean and Egyptian esoteric mystery religions. 340 The mock drama played out as part of this ritual, involves the three men claiming to have come from Babylon. So what we have here is another linkage into Babylonian spirituality. Other names of god appear in Masonry, one of the more familiar ones being ‘The Great Architect of the Universe (GAOTU)’. Other names are Mahabone and Abaddon. Interestingly the Hebrew word ‘Abaddon’ is found in the Bible, but it always has demonic connections, Revelation 9v11. The above example proves the importance of the triangle in Masonry, and it ought to be noted that this is another parallel with Cabbalism. There is no symbol more ‘generally diffused throughout the whole of Freemasonry, than the triangle’. 341 The equilateral triangle is very common, as is the right angled triangle. Many other forms are also found, some of which will be mentioned in this book. The triangle is an ancient symbol found throughout antiquity and is representative of a Deity or God, or the Creative Principle or First Cause, as well as having associations with fertility. The symbol of the triangle inside a circle has associations with sexuality and astrology. This is sometimes called the ‘Grand Trine of Astrology’, which is also the chosen symbol of ‘Alcoholics Anonymous’. Bill Wilson, its main founder, was a Freemason and dabbled in occult spirituality. For those concerned with my statements about the ‘AA’ please read this endnote. 342 343 When there is a dot at the centre of the triangle inside the circle, it is particularly relevant to the New Age (religion) and the New World Order, (a topic I will examine later). 344 Obviously other triangular symbols in Freemasonry would be ones like the pentagram, a five pointed star, the pentalpha (a variant on the pentagram) and the Star of David (Seal of Solomon), hexagram, which is two triangles interlocked together.

INNER SECRETS I have often quoted from the prolific writer, 33rd degree Freemason Palmer Manly Hall. Relevantly Hall also writes: ‘Freemasonry is a fraternity within a Fraternity – an outer organisation, concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect… the one visible the other invisible… The invisible society is a secret and most august fraternity whose members are dedicated to the service of a mysterious arcanum arcanorum (secret of secrets)… in each generation only a few are accepted into the inner sanctuary of the work’. 345 (My parenthesis for explanation).
The aforementioned Albert Pike is so famous that outside of Washington DC’s Justice Department there is a statue of him. Apparently he was a genius who could speak 16 languages and the Main Library of the Supreme Council 33rd degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, USA, Washington DC, is dedicated to the ‘Confederate General Albert Pike’. ‘Until 1974, his book, ‘Morals and Dogma’, was given to every Scottish Rite Freemason who reached the 14th degree, and it is still recommended on all Masonic reading lists’. 346 347 Clearly it is a most significant work because it was first published in 1871. What Pike wrote must be a true expression of the spiritual meaning of Freemasonry, otherwise his work would never have been honoured the way it has.
Relevantly, with regard to Masonic secrets, Pike also informs those of the 30th degree and above, that lower adepts are to be intentionally misled, and to let them think that they understand the deeper secrets, when in fact they do not. 348 349 He also alludes to this in an earlier chapter, explaining that it is a common practise of all religions to conceal its secrets from all, except its Elect. 350 As that is so, we have two Masonic scholars with the same view about the fraternity’s secrecies from its own (lower) members. I suspect that this is why so many Masons do not appreciate what Freemasonry really teaches, and would be horrified to read of its satanic nature. Probably ninety percent of Masons are of the visible fraternity and do not know about any of these things. That is why you will read of Masons disagreeing with comments like mine. need to read the material I have as part of their enquiry. An example of other hidden elements within Masonry is to do with Pike creating the highly secretive Palladian Rite. He did this with the Italian Giuseppe Mazzini and other 33rd degree Freemasons in 1870, in order to create a rite to overarch all others. 351 Further support for this secretive element within Masonism can also be provided. 352 Pike also admits that Freemasonry is based on ‘Luciferian doctrine’. In other words, it is of the Devil, Lucifer; although Pike interprets Lucifer very differently from standard Christian teaching! He wrote: ‘The true name of Satan, the Kabalists say, is that of Yahveh reversed; for Satan is not a black god, but the negation of God... Lucifer, the light bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! It is he who bears the Light... doubt it not!’ 353 354 Manly Hall makes similar observations too, referring to ‘the seething energies of Lucifer in the Mason’s hands’. 355 The normal interpretation of Lucifer in the minds of such people is that he is actually man’s helper and benefactor; a force involved with the evolution of man into godhood. This is similar to New Age thinking. Finally I would like to finish this section by turning your attention to Doc Marquis, who was a high degree Witch, and because of his position he had great knowledge of Masonism and all other occultic practices. He later became a Christian, which is why he has now been willing to admit to these hidden secrets. In an article about him, he confesses to the secrecy of Freemasonry and how it hides certain facts from its lower members; in fact they are lied to. The article also answers many questions relating to Freemasonry. 356 The work the ‘Brotherhood of Darkness’ by Dr Stanley Monteith will also aid one’s inquiry.
FREEMASONRY AND THE STAR OF DAVID As we close this chapter, you will recall that earlier I wrote that the Star of David, the hexagram, the double interlocking equilateral triangles, is a symbol within Freemasonry. It is also called the Seal of Solomon or even David’s Shield. This section will now prove these claims, adding to our understanding of the dominance of the triangle within The Craft, through this particular symbol. In my Masonic Encyclopaedia by 33rd degree Freemason Albert Mackey, the symbol is highly revered. He details its Cabbalist background, its talisman like properties and magical abilities, and that it has been found in Buddhist and Hindu contexts. Some churches even use it. In fact I spotted a large Star of David on a Church window in St. Andrews, Scotland. Indeed in the ancient ruins of St Andrews’ Cathedral you will find masses of Masonic inscribed graves. Like so many pagan occult symbols, we find ‘Christianised’ versions of them in our world today. Mackey writes that the Seal of Solomon was, other than the cross, the most prevalent symbol among the ancients. Mackey’s book even contains an artist’s impression of King Solomon sitting below this very Star of David. 357 Because the Star of David appears in Israel more than anywhere else in the world, then Israel is not just under a Cabbalist symbol, but a Masonic one too! If this symbol is not Masonic and Cabbalistic, why is it observed in nearly every single book I have on Freemasonry and Cabbalism? Why is it a familiar symbol used in Masonic Lodges, if it has nothing to do with Freemasonry? In ‘Richardson’s Monitor of Freemasonry’, you will also find a picture of it; the one provided below. 358 The Star of David, as we already know, appears as part of the Royal Arch Degree, and upward and downward pointing triangles are also found, as part of the Secret Master and Perfect Master degrees respectively; the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite’s 4th and 5th degrees. 359
If further evidence is needed, it is also in ‘Duncan’s Masonic Ritual Monitor’ and Albert Pike also makes reference to it in ‘Morals and Dogma’. 360 361 362 Because Masonism is based on Cabbalism and has many Jewish aspects to its system and symbols, then these correlations really ought to be expected. Interestingly if you have ever watched the TV series ‘Spooks’, (a nickname for the secret service, MI-5), they use the building of ‘The United Grand Lodge of England’ (UGLE) for filming. Sometimes you will see Stars of David on the doors of the Lodge when the actors go through them. In fact you can even download some of the United Grand Lodge’s files, one of which is full of Masonic symbols and emblems that Masons wear. Those symbols are very typical, there are: triangles, crossed swords, compasses, circles with triangles inside, All Seeing Eyes, (eyes within triangles) and of course lots of images of the Seal of Solomon - the Star of David. 363 Most notably, pyramids appear within Masonry too - in fact there are certain similarities between Egyptian pyramids and the Ziggurats built in ancient Babylonia. I absolutely assure you, the Star of David or the Seal of Solomon, is Masonic, occultic and based upon Cabbalism, other occultic religions and the ancient mysteries.

4. FREEMASONRY, ILLUMINISED FREEMASONRY AND THE ILLUMINATI INTRODUCTION Embedded within Cabbalism and Freemasonry is the belief in the divinisation of Man, the perfecting of human beings; the desire for a perfected world. We have also noted their Babylonian traits through pantheism, unification via its universal openness to other religions, as well as certain feminine spiritualities. What we need to consider now, is whether there is a higher illuminised form of this and whether these belief systems are being used in a deeper way to bring about desired global changes. In many ways Cabbalism, Freemasonry and this chapter’s teaching, fit together closely because of the similar concepts between them. This chapter will focus on what is a controversial theme, because it analyses the belief that there are very powerful persons within the world who strongly influence the global politics, economics and religious development we see around us. They often act as the ‘unseen Power’ behind the powers of the world, using money, influence and persuasion to shape things accordingly. The term normally used to describe these powerful people is ‘The Illuminati’ or ‘The Brotherhood’. Perhaps the term the ‘Global Elite’ is preferable. Admittedly this has a ‘conspiracy’ sense about it. Naturally I recognise all too well that there are those within certain conspiracy circles who are extreme in their views and beliefs. It is because of this, and the general stigma attached to the term, that the average person upon hearing the word ‘conspiracy’, immediately dismisses a given work coming under this ‘umbrella’, as nonsense. But not all conspiracy research should be regarded this way – it must be weighed – and where solid evidence is provided, accepted. In my vast reading I have come across professors, doctors, historians, occult experts and other highly educated people who believe that conspiratorial groups exist, and they also admit that there are persons who act this way within the globalisation process about us. They also provide evidence that this occurs within certain belief systems and that it is normally those within the highest echelons of those systems and organisations who have a certain globalist agenda. The facts simply show this to be the case. A number of these writers have spent many years, even their whole lives, studying this subject. It is from these authorities that I have sourced portions of material, where necessary and relevant. I suggest that the reader ‘weighs’ the evidence for this first, before making their conclusions. The information in some of the chapters after this one are also important for this matter. By the end of the book the ‘strands’ of argument will have come together and produced a defensible position. I have had uncertainties about whether to include matters relating to the Illuminati, because of my concern for personal integrity. I have truly battled with regard to the inclusion of this material. However, because I have read very widely and broadly on the theme of The Illuminati for many years and because the information being released these days is so great, I trust that it is becoming more credible to believe in the reality of such an organisation. In the past I had serious doubts about whether this organisation exists, but today I have come to a place where I believe in its existence in some form. It is critically important for the reader to understand that over and over again certain powerful families and names have kept appearing in the broad analysis of the subjects I have studied for this book, especially in the global political, economic and religious fields. This cannot be by chance and so it has persuaded me of the reality of an illuminised group of powerful persons – a global elite. There are many accounts of The Illuminati’s activities and speculation about them does exist. Obviously piecing together an accurate description is not easy because of the mysterious nature of such a group. As that is so, I have been highly selective with regard to this area of study. My analysis has been meticulous and I have not presumed anything. The very nature of this subject requires such methodology. With that stated, I now turn to the matter at hand. THE ILLUMINATI – INITIAL THOUGHTS The term ‘The Illuminati’ is a somewhat complex term, because it is quite broad in its meaning. Essentially it has a three-way application. First: throughout history, there have always been men who have been ‘illuminised’; men with special knowledge beyond that of the average person. They often believed in mysteries, mystery religions and esoteric beliefs. They were, for all intents and purposes, the ‘Illuminati’ of ancient times. The eminent esoteric authority Palmer Manly Hall, in his book ‘The Secret Destiny of America’, overtly admits that there have always been men who desired a perfected world; a utopia on earth. An example would be when Hall refers to the ‘Order of the Illumined’. He also wrote that many men have been members of secret societies, which have aided the outworking of their ideals in our world. 364 Fritz Springmeier, whose work I have partially used here, also believes that there have been some very important bloodlines throughout history who have been illuminist; some of these bloodlines being very old, dating back to ancient history. Further study by the reader into this specific area would be worthwhile. 365 So there is similarity between these writers’ viewpoints. After ten years of research, the time it took Springmeier to produce Bloodlines of the Illuminati, he believes, along with many other writers, that these illuminist persons and groups eventually found a man who was willing to give greater focus for their agenda; as well as recruiting new people. That man was Adam Weishaupt, who formed the ‘Order of the Illuminati’ or ‘The Bavarian Illuminati’ in 1776 in Ingolstadt, Bavaria (now located in Germany). This is the second meaning and usage of the term ‘The Illuminati’. History proves the existence of this Order, because one of The Illuminati’s men was arrested whilst carrying their actual documents. Thus it was exposed - by the hand of God I suspect! Indeed the papers of this Order are still available in the Ingolstadt archives. Essentially Weishaupt was the ‘front man’ for this illuminist agenda; to create a perfected world under their rule. 366 As I will soon detail, one of Weishaupt’s ambitions was to infiltrate the highest degrees of Freemasonry, so he could create what we could call illuminised Freemasonry. This is where the question we asked earlier about Freemasonry and a global agenda of perfecting the world, now has great relevance. If Weishaupt could infiltrate the higher degrees of Masonry then this would enable The Illuminati to have greater worldwide impetus and control - a united Brotherhood. Recruitment of suitable high degree Freemasons into his Illuminati organisation would be a very useful tool, because as an organisation Freemasonry is worldwide.
Weishaupt hoped to use Freemasonry and its worldwide network for his own agenda; to ride on the back of it, so to speak. Weishaupt’s Order of the Illuminati also provided a number of degrees that his members were to go through, with the ambition of ruling the world through its structure. Many believe that Illuminism ended when The Order of the Illuminati was discovered by the Bavarian government, but, as I shall argue, this was not so - illuminism has continued. Thirdly, and more controversially, the term ‘The Illuminati’ refers to highly secretive men who are the true power behind world affairs today. They are the outworking of ancient Illuminism and the Bavarian Illuminati, and are often related to certain powerful lineages, or are persons who have allied themselves to them. They are, as it were, a modern continuation of the original Illuminati, having similar ambitions to them. Two of these bloodlines, in my opinion, are The Rothschilds and The Rockefellers, which I will elaborate upon soon. Essentially, the present day Illuminati uses significant numbers of interlocking organisations with key individuals within them, in order to maintain control and outwork their agenda. I will detail some of these organisations in this book later - at least the main ones. In real terms all it takes is for highly skilled, globally minded individuals in place within the hierarchies of the world’s internationalist organisations, economic and political fields, governments and think tanks, not to mention the various belief systems named in this book, and a web of global influence and control can be made.
Dr John Coleman in his book ‘The Committee of the 300’ refers to the ‘300’, a highly powerful group of people who are, in his opinion, the ultimate power-group behind world affairs. The book is amazingly detailed, beyond simple fabrication; a work that took him 20 years to write. A number of names within Springemeier’s work appear in Coleman’s books; a fact that ought not to surprise us if these names are of the most powerful elite. Dr Coleman is a former MI-6 officer, and whilst in Angola he came across some highly secretive documentation. Such was his discovery that for over thirty five years he has continued to research this field. Coleman has also accessed masses of articles at the inner sanctum at the British Museum, which is not open to the general public; spending 5 years studying them. He regards this Museum as the greatest repository of knowledge in the world. He has also spent time researching this field at the Cairo Museum in Egypt. He claims that his work is of impeccable sources, factual and precise, and he has also continued making use of his intelligence connections. 367 Coleman states that Weishaupt actually referred to the ‘300’ too, as did Dr Jacob de Haas, an early leader of the Zionist movement. Lloyd George, once Prime Minister and British Chancellor of the Exchequer, Georges Clemenceau, former Prime Minister of France, also referred to them, as did the German politician and Foreign Minister Walter Rathenau. 368 Further, amongst other sources, I have used Nesta Webster in this section - a foremost and eminent British historian of her generation. 369 As noted earlier, she was vouched for by Sir Winston Churchill, such was her standing! made by those who disagreed with her views about The Illuminati, as expressed in ‘World Revolution’. As that is so it has enabled me to get a better idea of the history about them and whether their organisation and its ambitions have continued in some form; having an effect on the global development we witness around us today. CONTROVERSY AND THE FEAR TO BELIEVE Naturally this is controversial for many, especially if one has not heard of such things before. It seems incredulous and ridiculous. The reason why the vast majority of people have not come across this is because it is not ‘mainstream’ and detailed analyses of history are needed to uncover the required information. Whether the reader finally accepts the existence of The Illuminati, or a super powerful group, is entirely up to them. The evidence for this organisation, which is far greater than that presented in this book, does support their existence in some form - a strong indicator, if you will. Courteously I ask the reader to suspend any judgments they have made so far, and to keep reading with an open mind. By the end of this book I believe that even a sceptic will have warmed to the possibility that something is happening in our world which is very similar to the ambitions of The Illuminati. If the whole idea of The Illuminati seems to be the stuff of conspiracies and myths, then it may aid the reader to simply ‘drop’ the term, and instead focus on the simple fact that the world is being influenced by increasing forms of global governance. On the other hand, I have a growing suspicion that people know that something is not right with the world, that somehow democracy is failing and that the world is following a certain path - a seemingly unstoppable one. ILLUMINISM The words ‘Illuminism’ and ‘Illuminati’ all come from the word ‘illuminate’. Illuminate means: to enlighten, to clarify and to make clear. The impression is that an illuminated person can ‘see’ more clearly than others, in a ‘spiritual’ way, or have a greater ‘understanding’ or ‘insight’. Such individuals have been illuminated with certain truths, above and beyond the average person. The term has that sense of secretive knowledge. Relevantly, the word Lucifer, a Latin word for the Devil or Satan, means ‘light bearer’ or ‘shining one’. If one bears light, he illuminates! The word Lucifer has ancient links to sun deities as well, and the name corresponds with ancient Egyptian gods such as Ra and Horus, and the Babylonian gods Marduk, the fire god, and Baal. 370 So, someone of The Illuminati, or someone who is illuminist, has been given occultic light and understanding. NEW WORLD ORDER The term ‘New World Order’ will be increasingly used throughout the remainder of this book. The phrase New World Order comes from the Latin, ‘Novus Ordo Seclorum’. It has a number of possible translations: ‘New Secular Order’, ‘New Order of the Ages’ and of course, ‘New World Order’. The reason why there are three possible meanings is because the Latin word ‘seclorum’, has a number of possible renderings. Naturally there has been some debate about which is the most accurate term, but ‘New World Order’ has taken priority. Maybe the three renderings are synergistic - together they enhance the overall meaning of the Latin phrase.

The term has associations with globalisation, global governance, internationalism, transnationalism, world/global government, world/global politics, world/global economy, world/global religion and the like. It is a loaded term. The phrase is about ordering the whole world in a new way. THE HISTORY OF THE BAVARIAN ILLUMINATI – THE DETAILS It is a fact of history that in 1776 a man called Adam Weishaupt, set up a very secret organisation known as ‘The Bavarian Illuminati’. He was highly intelligent; a Professor of Law in fact. Weishaupt’s parents were Marranos Jews, who had ‘converted’ to Roman Catholicism. Marranos Jews, like other Jews in history, were sometimes crypto-Jews. This means they hid their Jewish identity for protection, normally by changing their surnames. I write converted in inverted commas because often Jews would be Catholic in public, but maintain their Jewish beliefs and customs secretly at home. Some of the historical accounts of Jews being forced to convert to Roman Catholicism are awful to read. But, it was common for Jews like this to teach their children Judaism, the Talmud and Cabbalism privately. In his younger years Weishaupt had also been trained as a Jesuit. 371 The official date of the launching of Weishaupt’s Illuminati was May 1st 1776. The aims of the organisation was to reform governments, nations and the world, and put them under the Illuminati’s rule. To use a modern term they desired a New World Order under their influence and control. On the surface, many seemingly noble ideals existed within Weishaupt’s movement; but that is not the whole picture. We know this is the case because the Bavarian government discovered The Illuminati plot, and upon arresting Weishaupt and some of his ardent supporters, such as Xavier Zwack, they uncovered documentation to that effect, making explicit the group’s intentions. It is from within these documents, actually written by Weishaupt himself, that the real nature of The Illuminati and its Illuminism is clearly understood. 372 It is important to appreciate that no one knew of the Order’s existence until its discovery, because it was so secretive! Maybe that is why many refuse to believe in the existence of a modern day Illuminati, because through its interlocking organisations it goes undetected, and thus its existence seems improbable? If so it is being just as effective as its ancient forebear! Sadly, by the time of its discovery, Illuminism had already spread into ‘more than a dozen countries, including the United States’. 373 We also need to understand that the Order was formed approximate to The Age of Enlightenment, which was underway by the end of the eighteenth century. During this time ‘an explosion of natural philosophy, science, the resurgence of hermeticism (an occult philosophy similar to Cabbalism) and occult experimentation, all competed directly with the traditional teachings of the Church and the Jesuit monopoly in the Universities and Colleges. Numerous ideologies owe an intellectual and political heritage to this period - scepticism, rationalism, atheism, liberalism, humanism, reductionism, modernism, communism, nihilism and anarchism - among the most apparent’. 374 Essentially the Illuminati was a supranational (global wide) movement. That is why its ideology can be detected in many movements, for example, in Fascism and Communism. ‘World Revolution’ by Nesta Webster, also details its traits, including its influence upon the French Revolution and Bolshevism. 375 It is also clear from Webster’s work that Weishaupt used methods to enlist his adepts that were typical of those in secret societies in history before him, such as the Islamic Ismailis. Like the head of the Ismailis had done, Weishaupt managed to get many men and women, from all sorts of backgrounds, to work together for an unknown objective, which only Weishaupt and his high ranking followers would know about. 376 ‘World Revolution’ details how sly and cunning Weishaupt’s scheme was, and that he had worked a system so clever that even Christians would not be aware of its true intentions. The Bavarian Illuminati had a prime principal and that was - it was never to be known by that name. The idea was that it could manifest itself and its principles in a subversive unknown way within many different organisations, and yet remain undetected. at the apex of the pyramid, which would progressively fan out to the base below, which had many people within it. But those at the bottom would not know the true intent of those at the top, yet would aid their objectives through the work and projects they had been given to do; simply believing they were improving the world. ‘They never guessed that Weishaupt’s true purpose was to establish Novus Ordo Seclorum (New World Order), a global program for world domination’. 377 (My addition). This structure is very similar to the military expression of the modern army; indeed similar to the Jesuit Order with whom Weishaupt had been trained in his earlier years. Pyramidical management structures are regular features within our world. For example, an average bank clerk in a local branch will have little idea of the machinations of those at the top. Many people became linked with the Bavarian Illuminati - individuals who were some of the most important in their generation: scientists, professors, lawyers, ambassadors, bankers and so forth. Many of these had significant circles of influence too, affecting famous philosophers such as George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and Emmanuel Kant. Kings, such as Frederick the Great of Prussia, who was possibly involved with the creation of the higher additional degrees in Scottish Rite Freemasonry, were also within their circles of influence. 378 It has been argued by many that the Illuminati infiltrated Freemasonry during the period of 1782-1786. The Masonic ‘Congress of Wilhelmsbad’ in 1782, (close to the town of Hanau, Germany) was a significant part of this. Weishaupt’s agents, such as Adolph Knigge, had been working behind the scenes in preparation for this Congress, in order to enact their agenda. Notably there is still an ancient brick pyramid within the grounds at Wilhelmsbad. By 1786 ‘the Illuminati virtually controlled all the Masonic lodges, which represented three million secret society members across the various German provinces, Austria, Hungary, England, Scotland, Poland, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Holland, Spain, Sweden, Russia, Ireland, Africa and America’. 379 Indeed 33rd degree Freemason, Albert Mackey, in his Encyclopaedia of Freemasonry writes that Weishaupt: ‘is celebrated in the history of Masonry’, and ‘his ambition was, I think, a virtuous one’. 380 Two important men, highly skilled and renowned within their fields, John Robison and Abbé Barruel, both contemporary to Weishaupt, wrote a number of articles expressing that Illuminism had infiltrated Masonism, and were deeply concerned about it. In fact by Weishaupt’s own admission, he desired to impart Illuminism at the right time into one of the higher degrees of Freemasonry. 381 382 From Weishaupt’s own papers he admitted that to some Freemasons we shall not ‘even reveal that we have anything more than what the Freemasons have... All those who are not suitable for the work shall remain in the Masonic Lodge and advance there without knowing anything about the additional system’. 383 Weishaupt also said, ‘the great strength of our Order lies in its concealment; let it never appear in any place in its own name, but always covered by another name, and another occupation’. 384 According to Comte de Virieu, a Freemason who was at Wilhelmsbad when Illuminism officially made its alliance with Freemasonry, his shock and concern are related to us in these words. ‘Tragic secrets. I will not confide them to you. I can only tell you that all this is very much more serious than you think. The conspiracy which is being woven is so well thought out that it will be impossible for the Monarchy and The Church to escape it’. 385

Gary Kah in his book ‘En route to Global Occupation’, also supports this view about the Illuminati and that Freemasonry has therefore become the ‘hidden catalyst’. 386 Incidentally, Kah wrote his book at great personal risk to himself and his family. He was originally a high ranking American government liaison officer, until he found out about the true intentions of the global movement within the government circles which he was privy to. Whilst the emphasis here is often upon the Illuminati’s infiltration of Freemasonry, we must not forget that Freemasonry is directly linked with Cabbalism. All these ideologies have a bearing upon illuminism. SYMBOLISM One of the symbols the Illuminati used was a circle with a dot in the middle of it, which has associations with ancient fertility cults and mystery religions. 387 Obelisks, which are often erected inside circles, represent this too. We find obelisks in many towns across the United Kingdom and the world. Relevantly, the symbol is also found in Freemasonry. Freemason Albert Mackey, confirms its sexual connotations and the mystery religions to which it belongs, and also argues that it is found in Egyptian rites for Osiris and in Greek religious festivals, and later, Druidism. The point and circle often represent the Sun or Universe respectively, with the Master and Wardens acting as the Sun, and the Lodge as the Universe. 388 The image of the owl was also used by The Illuminati, the owl having links back to certain occultic expressions such as the dying god Dionysius and Apollo in Greece. It is also found in Babylonian and Mithraic cults. 389 Weishaupt also used the term the ‘Order of the Bees’, bees having a hive, a ‘collective mind’, in their work. The Masonic symbol the Fleur de Lis is based upon the bee, according to Manly Hall. This symbol also appears within Royalty. The ‘mysteries’ or ‘mystery religions’ were an important factor within Weishaupt’s thinking, and its pertinent to note how often the ‘mysteries’ appear within the secretive groups we have already observed. 390 Indeed the divinisation of man, of man becoming perfected, as was the case with Cabbalism and Freemasonry, was also a feature of Weishaupt’s beliefs. This can be observed with the ‘inner Areopagites’; Weishaupt’s term for his higher members. The hallmark of the mystery religions has always been this, where through the evolutionary process Man is ‘apotheosized’ (deified). THE END OF THE BAVARIAN ILLUMINATI? It has been argued that The Illuminati ended when the Bavarian Government uncovered its plot. However, 25 years after the supposed demise of Illuminism, a number of historical articles came forward that clearly tell a different story; a story which informs us of a deep infiltration of the civilised world, including politics, economics, government and internationalism. 391 392 Support of this fact can be seen in Collins and Collins highly academic work, ‘The Ascendancy of the scientific dictatorship: an examination of epistemic autocracy from the 19th to the 20th century’, where a plentiful number of sources are quoted which demonstrate the ongoing outworking of Illuminati doctrine after the time of its apparent demise. 393 394 It seems that because the strength of Illuminism was always in how it secretly penetrated different groups and individuals in society, it was able to survive for centuries, even until today. Illuminism was so strong and virulently active in its designs to reform society, that the aforementioned Robison and Barruel wrote to the governments of America and Britain, to warn them of the conspiracy against them. These facts are also provided by David Rivera in his well respected book ‘Final Warning: A history of the New World Order’. An important quotation by Robison is under this endnote. 395 396

Interestingly Robison was also a Freemason, and so he was well qualified to speak about this matter and both men wrote books of considerable length about this issue; Barruel’s being in four volumes. Clearly something must have deeply concerned them. Little change occurred, probably because of the extraordinariness of their claims, because in America, by 1785, the first illuminist lodges were established. One of these was the ‘Lodge Colombia of the Order of the Illuminati’ in New York which had a number of members. One of these was Clinton Roosevelt, the ancestor of Franklin D Roosevelt, who later became President of the United States! 397 Rivera continues and comments: ‘On July 4, 1812, Rev. Joseph Willard, the president of Harvard University, said in a speech in Lancaster, New Hampshire: “There is sufficient evidence that a number of societies, of the Illuminati, have been established in this land of Gospel light and civil liberty… They are doubtless secretly striving to undermine all our ancient institutions, civil and sacred. These societies are closely leagued with those of the same Order, in Europe; they have all the same object in view. The enemies of all order are seeking our ruin. Should infidelity generally prevail, our independence would fall of course. Our republican government would be annihilated...”’ 398
So concerned were different men about this Illuminism, that even other clergy within The Church in America became involved in trying to end their progress. Thus, the evidence is strong that The Illuminati continued past the time of their presumed end, and had already infiltrated Freemasonry and other groups, having specific men in place. Additional evidence of The Illuminati’s existence beyond this period will be provided in due course. The reason why Robison, Barruel and certain members of The Church were unable to make any significant difference to the progress of Illuminism was because the organisation was already many steps ahead of them. The Illuminati knew that eventually the reactions of such men would run out of momentum. PRINCIPLES The principles of the Illuminati was to use sex and bribery to obtain control of men in high places, to infiltrate universities and recruit followers, to place individuals into governments and places of powers, and to obtain control of the media; enabling society to believe that the ‘one world government’ was the only solution to the problems of the world. 399 Weishaupt’s six primary goals were: (i) the abolition of monarchies and all ordered governments, (ii) abolition of private property (iii) abolition of inheritance, (iv) abolition of patriotism (nationalism) and the introduction of the world state, (v) abolition of family life and the institution of marriage, and the establishment of communal education for children and (vi) abolition of all religion. 400 401 An example of these things happening today is the breakdown of families and the minimalising of the father’s role within that. A report by The Christian Institute, which refers to former leader of the Tory Party, Sir Iain Duncan Smith, gives support for this; not to mention that 1 in 4 Mothers in Britain are now opting for being a single ‘Mum’ as a ‘lifestyle choice’. 402 403 According to the Daily Mail we have more teenage pregnancies than ever before, and schools using cartoons containing graphic sex for seven year olds. 404 At the time of writing the Communal Education we have in Britain is increasingly coming under the control of the Government. 405 It is obvious of course that globalisation is replacing nationalism, and in turn it weakens governments. A form of this can be observed by the increasing power of the European Union over Britain. As multiculturalism and the immigration of people into Britain and other countries continues, are we not witnessing globalisation and the formation of a ‘collective’, as we become increasingly ‘borderless’ and unified together? Pluralism, relativism and syncretism between religions are occurring as well. Such potential developments support the above agenda. COALESCING It is important to state that most Freemasons know nothing about Illuminism and have nothing to do with it. The Illuminati infiltration of Freemasonry was to convey certain beliefs secretly to those chosen from the highest degrees of Freemasonry; this being in keeping with Weishaupt’s intent. And what was the result of that? ‘Illuminised Freemasonry’. This, along with The Illuminati’s own degrees and command structure, has created a potent power to influence governments and nations worldwide, to be ‘The Power’ behind ‘the power’. So, we have an organisation via high end Masonry, and of its own volition, containing men with the ambition to create a globalised world where national sovereignty is eroded, fulfilling their ambition for world government under their control. It needs to be noted that there are other secret societies in existence today that also have men desirous of the same. Freemasonry has been mainly referred to simply because it is the most prominent and the one most readily used by Weishaupt. It acted as a ‘front’ for his movement. Further, other belief systems also have this global ambition; it is not solely a Masonic concern. We have already studied Cabbalism as evidence of this fact, but there are other belief systems yet to be studied in this book. Freemasonry, because of its actual nature, where secrecy and secrets are part of its very reason for being, will always provide a breeding ground for beliefs such as those found within Illuminism. Freemasonry has allowed itself to become illuminised, and with its ‘roots’ having associations with Egyptian, Greek and Babylonian mystery religions, being specifically linked with Cabbalism too, it can naturally aid the Illuminist cause. Freemasonry is in itself evil, because of the rites, oaths and language used – it is not Christian. But it is now far worse because of the Illuminism which is linked to it. Freemasonry’s occult desire to perfect man through its spirituality, fits well with the Illuminati goal of perfecting the world according to their plan and dictate. SUMMARY As an organisation, the ancient Bavarian Illuminati no longer exists in its original form, but its spirit has continued within a modern day expression of its original intentions. It has also infected the higher echelons of the political and economic world, via Freemasonry, Cabbalism, and other types of secret societies. Indeed if the reader accepts that there are very powerful people working behind the scenes, then it seems likely that there is a contemporary and very real Illuminati today, the global elite, who are forwarding the goals of its ancient Bavarian counterpart. Illuminism is purely Babylonian; it desires to build a society and a world independent from the true God of the Bible. It wants its Tower of Babel. In so doing it will aid both the Beast and the False Prophet of Revelation 13, with their political, economic and spiritual global agendas. This is not entirely irregular: many men have wanted to dominate the world, to have their Empires and the like, throughout history. The most obvious example of this would be The Roman Empire. THE END TIMES SCRIPTURES Earlier I wrote that the Beasts will not be able to come to power without the correct political, economic and religious environment being in place. It takes many, many people, crafting a suitable ‘world atmosphere’ for individuals like these to be ‘enthroned’. The Beasts will simply not be able to come to power, without that foundation in place. As that is so, I suggest that secrecy must naturally be part of this ‘foundation building’, because if it was revealed to the masses, there would be uproar. I believe that The Illuminati are building this very thing right now, via many men and women, through their vast organisational structures - it takes years of meticulous planning for the right situation to emerge suited to persons such as this. The reader must understand that the Enemy requires people who are proud, greedy, lovers of money and power to enable his Plan to come about. women in this world who are demonised, who hold highly important positions. There are of course many ordinary people who are simply trying to better our world, without realising that there are those who wish to pervert their genuine desires for good. For generations the Enemy has been using people like we have described to bring about his end goal. Gradually more people have been placed into positions of power that will support this, whether they realise the complete and final end goal or not. Were there not men and women like this, before the rise of Hitler, and of course during his reign? What makes us so sure that someone like Hitler cannot rise up again, this time with true world dominance? Maybe the world is shaping itself, ready for a true global tyrant? As I have examined the facts, I believe that right now in our world, things are being shaped by very powerful people at many different levels. It exists from The Illuminati, through high level Masonry, Cabbalism, New Ageism and the like, down into the central banks, politicians, even to religious organisations and individual persons on the street. It is often highly subtle. A VEILED ADMISSION? I know that it might seem incredible that I, a man of reasonable intellect, believe such things. But when you look at our world and the increasing breakdown of national sovereignties, particularly throughout Europe, the ongoing drive for globalisation and internationalism, I am sure you can see that something is happening in our world which is very similar to the ancient ambitions of The Bavarian Illuminati. Further, the term ‘The New World Order’ is a slogan used by many government leaders to express the globalisation process that we see taking place. This term was once the stuff of conspiracy theorists, but now it is public and common place! I will refer to The Illuminati again in the coming chapters and provide further evidence; but I felt it would be good to close this section by quoting directly from the internationally renowned British publication called ‘The Economist’. Notably this organisation has historical links with Evelyn Rothschild and Fabian Socialism. Under the heading, ‘The Good Network Guide’, there is a satirical portrayal of various networks in the world. Maybe it is a veiled admission by the organisation about a super powerful hidden body? It is certainly an unusual article for such a distinguished publication. I directly contacted the ‘Research Department’ at The Economist for double cross referencing and the article is completely genuine. If this publication has these following words, then maybe what I have taught might just be true after all. “…Beyond all these networks lies the mother of all networks, the Order of the Illuminati, known to some as the True Rulers of the World... Though this secret body has hovered unseen over all history, its most public flowering was in the Enlightenment. Adam Weishaupt, a former Jesuit ...revealed its purpose and system of mutual surveillance to the world on May 1st, 1776… It is significant that many American presidents have been Illuminati… and the Illuminati symbol of the eye in the pyramid still graces the dollar bill. The conspiracy is immense and terrifying... It is the network of those who run networks. Given its power, you should assume that anyone writing about the order must be either lying or part of a conspiracy to confound you. In wondering about the Illuminati, merely remember this. You have never arrived”, 26th December 1992. 406
CONCLUDING REMARKS I do not think The Illuminati have control over all things in the world; although they certainly want to. Examples where their control may be weaker are Islam, Russia and China - although I have evidence that shows that ground is being made even within these. The fact that globalisation does exist, as well as the potential of it, is in some ways evidence in itself. We are all aware that there are certain men and women who are desperate for complete globalisation; an ultimate form of the New World Order and for full global governance. will find ourselves under their dictatorship in the future, as the final outcome creates a role for a would-be dictator. Dr John Coleman believes that by the year 2025, unless a ‘counter force can be erected’ to oppose the plans of the elite, the world could be plunged into a dictatorship under their rule. 407 On one level the absolute proof of The Illuminati is not utterly critical to the argument presented in this book. The reason for this is because whether The Illuminati exist or not, we are living in a world where globalisation and the New World Order are arising in such a way that is clear to all people. It is not hidden; it is palpably obvious to the human race. Global governance is occurring. But, even with that concession offered, my view is that there must be a powerful group behind such developments, guiding the process – otherwise how could it occur on the planetary scale that it now has? It must have its source somewhere. It cannot have been mysteriously birthed simultaneously in different people’s minds across the world, just by chance. The ancient Bavarian Illuminati had the ambition to globalise the world under their rule. Today we have individuals who want to do the same. The desire for a New World Order existed all those years ago and today we have a New World Order - increasingly so. Are we really expected to believe that there is no continuity or causality whatsoever between this particular history and the modern era? It seems to me that their age old objectives have seeped through history and are now commonplace. Thus the Illuminati, the global elite, or the ultimate true globalists – call them what you will - act as a vital coalescing factor behind this huge Behemoth, directing and shaping its movement. Having detailed two Babylonian based belief systems thus far, Cabbalism and various levels of Freemasonry, including The Illuminati, I will now provide additional evidence. I will then examine some directly related matters - the world of international politics, economics and some of the powerful persons behind these things. The chapter on Islam, our third Babylonian belief system, will be examined later because these other matters must take priority - they are a critical component and supportive of this book’s argument. They will substantiate my claims. Webster wrote in 1921, after examining history from the time of the French Revolution up until 1917: ‘it is extraordinary how in the light of Illuminism many things that are happening to-day which appear at first inexplicable become clear as daylight’. 408 I add, ‘how much more so now’? EXCURSUS – THE POWER BEHIND THE POWER - A SHORT CASE STUDY During my reading over the years, I have come across many sources independent to each other, which have examined Communism in Russia and its founding. I am confident that Communism was, and is, an Illuminati idea which was planted in the Soviet Union, and that it has been instrumental in turning the world towards its present political state. Indeed one particular book I have used, which has qualified and supported my research is ‘The Sign of the Scorpion’ by Estonian-born journalist Juri Lina. His book is sourced from a massive bibliography of over 150 books and contains documentation, including some Jewish sources, many of which have only been released since the fall of Soviet power in Russia. These resources are not readily found in the West either. Lina argues effectively, as well as providing evidence of the Illuminati’s influence upon the French Revolution. Communism was brutal, awfully brutal, with far more numbers of people killed and tortured compared with the millions of Jews in The Holocaust. I do not make that comment lightly. The founders of Communism were Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Both were 31st degree Freemasons and both had been trained by the Cabbalist, Moses Hess. According to the Jüdisches Lexikon of 1928 Hess was a communist Rabbi and the father of modern Socialism! He also founded the German Social Democratic Party. The founding of Communism is also linked to the society known as The Bund (the League of the Just), which included both internationalist Jews and non-Jews. Of course it was Marx who wrote the Communist Manifesto of 1848. The two principal agents of Communism were Lenin and Trotsky - Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin) was also a 31st degree Freemason and a member of the Jewish B’nai B’rith. Leiba Bronstein (Leon Trotsky) was also a high raking ‘illuminatus and freemason’. Churchill in 1920 confirmed that both Lenin and Trotsky belonged to these Masonic, illuminist circles, according to the ‘Illustrated Sunday Herald’. As part of his education Trotsky had studied the Akkadian King Sargon, (2300BC - approximate to the time of Nimrod), who had built an empire embracing Babylon, Sumeria, Elam and Assyria. Trotsky’s ambition was to have an empire of his own based on Sargon’s methodology, which was socialist/communist in organisation. Together with Lenin, Trotsky desired a ‘United States’ of the World. A similar ideology is found in his statement from October 1917, when he said, ‘The United States of Europe must be founded’. So even during the early 20th century we have evidence of globalism and a communist desire for ‘Europe’ which today is a reality, a growing reality, as European politics deepens. What is amazing about this terrible history is that there were close connections between Lenin and the Warburgs. The Warburgs were very powerful Jewish bankers from Germany. Historically the Warburg banks have been closely tied with the Rothschilds. Further, Max Warburg was ‘Chief of the German Secret Service’. On April 9th 1917 a train left the city of Bern in Switzerland, containing Lenin and other revolutionaries. At both the German and Swedish borders, the train was stopped, and then escorted by the security staff on its chosen path to Russia. What is remarkable is that at this time Germany was at war with Russia, Switzerland was neutral, yet the train was allowed to pass onto its destination, even through the Russian security services. The cost of this was also paid for by the German and Russian governments. Leon Trotsky, who had irritated many countries in Europe with his beliefs, was finally excommunicated from Spain, and sent to the United States of America. On arrival Trotsky was given money, a car, a driver and a luxury apartment. Paul Warburg was leader of the Federal Reserve Board at this point, and between him, President Woodrow Wilson and Edward Mandell House, Trotsky was issued with an American passport, even though he was not a citizen and had only just arrived in the country! Trotsky, in March 1917, then boarded a boat and went to Russia, to ‘finish the Russian revolution and establish a Marxist government under the leadership of Lenin [and] Stalin...’ Indeed when the British government found out that Trotsky had left the USA, they arrested him to prevent him from going to Russia. But a day or so later, a new telegram arrived from London which told the security forces to put Trotsky back on the boat and let him go, as well as return to him, and his supporters, their weapons and money. The evidence I have read effectively argues how Jacob Schiff, the Rockefellers, JP Morgan, Harrimans, Warburgs, Vanderlips, Alfred Milner and the Rothschilds, directly and indirectly, funded the communist revolution. It was Western money that kept Communism afloat until it had reached their desired end, as well as increasing their power over other parts of the world. The extensive work by Dr Anthony Sutton will also prove to be of value here. In 1888 a British Freemasons’ map of Europe was published by Karl Heise, which expressed the desired future national borders of the countries of Europe. This map became reality 29 years later after World War I had ended! Similarly it was at the Yalta Conference in 1945 that Stalin, Roosevelt and Winston Churchill met to discuss the post World War II reorganisation of Europe. Reader, do these facts not show that there is a ‘Power behind the power’? What you have just read would be impossible for anyone to do, unless certain powers had allowed it to be so. For me, this also proves further the contention of this book, that there is indeed a powerful group of persons who have great influence over the way our world develops: a coming world empire and government under their control.
