Script: A beautiful couple A beautiful day A beautiful promise, to love each other forever A promise easily made, but requiring not occasional, but daily, renewal. Society accepts our best efforts in renewing that promise But God expects super-human effort and commitment It is close to impossible do that alone, just the two of you Fortunately you are not alone. You are blessed with wonderful role models in (parent's names) Use them, request advice from them, emulate them. You have my love, More importantly you will forever have my prayers And I sincerely believe that God hears the prayers of those who love us. (name of groom), you are my grandchild And in case you haven’t noticed I have always been, and am now, very, very proud of you (name of bride), you are my newest grandchild I trust you realize how much I love this newest granddaughter. I am proud to be asked to bless the food today For it is not a human request, but a request made to our Heavenly Father, God Himself And as I ask that God will bless this food, I am asking that it will be used to nurture, renew, protect and build up the bodies of all here who partake of it But equally I am asking that God will take the events of this day And will use them daily throughout their lives to nurture, renew, protect and build up the marriage of (names of bride and groom).
