Motion to approve, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, the following monthly expenditures/reports: 4.1.1

Approve the December 10, 2012 bill list in the amount of $752,738.30.

4.1.2

Approve the November 30, 2012 payroll in the amount of $2,292,817.18.

4.1.3

Approve the December 2012A Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Report.

4.2

Motion to approve, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, the following Personnel action items: 4.2.1

Approve the retirement of Susan Ritchie, Bus Driver in the Transportation Department effective January 1, 2013 with appreciation for twenty-one years of service to the Mount Olive Township School District.

4.2.2

Accept the resignation of Amanda Keenan, part time Clerical Aide in the Guidance Department at Mount Olive High School effective December 21, 2012 with appreciation for one year of service to the Mount Olive Township School District.

4.2.3

Approve an unpaid medical leave of absence for Anna Konieczna, Custodian at Tinc Road School effective December 8, 2012 through March 31, 2013 or until released by physician. Benefits will be provided by the Board through January 31, 2013.

4.2.4

Approve an unpaid family leave of absence for Patricia Cicalese, part time Teacher Aide at Sandshore School effective December 3, 2012 through April 23, 2013.

4.2.5

Approve a paid medical leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Rebecca Day, Elementary School Teacher at Mt. View School effective February 4, 2013 through March 18, 2013 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective March 19, 2013 through June 30, 2013; anticipated return September 1, 2013. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board without interruption.

Approve a continued unpaid childcare leave of absence for Melissa Chagnon, Elementary School Teacher at Tinc Road School effective December 4, 2012 through June 30, 2013; returning September 1, 2013.

4.2.7

Approve the continued employment for Julianne Warshany, long term substitute Elementary School Teacher at Tinc Road School at the per diem rate of $150.00 effective December 4, 2012 through June 30, 2013, serving for Melissa Chagnon.

4.2.8

Approve the appointment of Amanda Keenan, as a long term substitute School Counselor at Mount Olive Middle School at the per diem rate of $80.00 for the first twenty consecutive days increasing to $150.00 per day on the 21st day effective January 2, 2013 through March 22, 2013, serving for Julie Kester on a maternity leave of absence. (Budgeted)

4.2.9

Approve the appointment of Diane Buckley, part time Special Education Teacher, .57 fte at Mt. View School at step one (1) MA - $59,568 prorated effective December 11, 2012 through June 30, 2013 for the 2012-2013 school year, replacing Dian Wade. (Budgeted)

4.2.10

Approve the change of employment for Susan Reeder from twelve month Secretary in the Buildings and Grounds Department to twelve month Accounts Payable Secretary at step four (4), Category 3 - $39,227 prorated effective December 17, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year, replacing Patricia Fastert. (Budgeted)

4.2.11

Approve the appointment of Crystal Rogers, certified Instructional Assistant at Mount Olive High School at step eight (8) - $14.59 per hour on the Aide Salary Guide, seven (7) hours per day, five (5) days per week, effective December 11, 2012 through March 4, 2013. (Budgeted)

4.2.12

Approve the appointment of Steven Van Der Linda, Custodian at Tinc Road School at step one (1) - $33,339 on the Custodian Salary Guide prorated, eight (8) hours per day from 2:30 to 10:30 pm, five (5) days per week, effective December 11, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year, replacing Milosz Szpakowski. (Budgeted)

4.2.13

Approve the appointment of Ashwini Walmiki, Cafeteria worker at step one (1) - $11.73 per hour on the Cafeteria Salary Guide at Mount Olive High School for three (3) hours per day from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm and one (1) hour per day at Mount Olive Middle School from 12:30 to 1:30 pm effective December 11, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year, replacing Geraldine Olsen and Barbara Spina. (Budgeted)

4.2.14

Approve the employment of Sheryl Colin, substitute aide at the rate of $10.50 per hour effective December 11, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.

4.2.15

Approve the employment of Robert Stark, substitute custodian at the rate of $11.75 per hour effective December 11, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.

4.3

Motion to approve, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, the following Business (finance and facilities) action items: 4.3.1

RESOLVED, that the Mount Olive Township Board of Education hereby accepts the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, as submitted by the Business Office, and the Auditor’s Management Report on Administrative Findings, as submitted by the firm of ParenteBeard LLC, for the year ended June 30, 2012.

4.3.2

Motion to approve the attached list of budget transfers for the 2012-13 school year.

4.3.3

Motion to authorize Mr. Anthony Gianforcaro of Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers, Planners to prepare bid specifications and advertise for bids for the replacement of glycol in the Middle School chiller.

4.3.4

Motion to approve the attached School Bus Emergency Evacuation Drill Report as per N.J.A.C. 6A:27-11.2.

4.3.5

Motion to approve a Public Donor Agreement between Mt. Olive Child Care & Learning Center and the Mt. Olive Township Public Schools for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013.

4.3.6

Motion to approve funding for a new technology position entitled “Technology Support Specialist”. The position will be a non-unit position and follow the Information Systems Technology Non-Unit guide. Funding will be transferred from the medical insurance account on a future transfer report.

4.3.7

Motion to approve submission of a rebate application for the National Clean Diesel Rebate Program.
