Motion to approve on the recommendation of the Superintendent the following Personnel action items: 6.1.1

Approve a paid medical leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Karen Killen, Teacher of Basic Skills at Mount Olive Middle School effective December 13, 2010 through January 31, 2011 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective February 1, 2011 through June 30, 2011; returning September 1, 2011. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board through April 30, 2011.

Approve a paid medical leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Anessa Goldkind, Elementary School Teacher at Mt. View School effective February 23, 2011 through April 12, 2011 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective April 13, 2011 through June 30, 2011; returning September 1, 2011. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board without interruption.

6.1.3

Approve a paid medical leave of absence using accumulated sick days for Jessica Babakian, Teacher of the Handicapped at Tinc Road School effective March 14, 2011 through April 8, 2011 and further approve an unpaid childcare leave of absence effective April 11, 2011 through June 17, 2011; returning June 20, 2011. Dental/Medical benefits will be provided by the Board without interruption.

Approve the appointment of Maryjane Timpano, to the new position as Elementary School Teacher at Mt. View School at step one (1) BA - $49,575 prorated, effective November 1, 2010 for the 20102011. (Education Job Fund)

Approve the appointment of Andrew Cattano, to the new part time position as Teacher of Mathematics, .5 fte at Mount Olive Middle School at step one (1) BA - $49,575 prorated, effective October 26, 2010 for the 2010-2011. (Education Job Fund)

Approve the change of employment for James Staszak from part time Hall Monitor to the position of non unit Security Monitor at Mount Olive Middle School prorated at an annual salary of $18,050.00, eight hours per day, five days per week, effective October 26, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year. Approve the appointment of Kathleen Pesce, part time Certified Aide to Student at Sandshore School at step three (3) - $11.92 per hour on the Aide Salary Guide, three hours per day, five days per week, effective October 26, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year, replacing Lisa Vales. (Budgeted)

Motion to approve on the recommendation of the Superintendent the following Business (finance and facilities) action items: 6.2.1

Approve the attached list of 2010/2011 budget transfers.

6.2.2

Resolved, that the Board approve the release agreement between the Mount Olive Township Board of Education and David Kattowski, Cerrullo Fire Protection, Inc., Pike Construction Co. a/k/a Pike Construction Co., LLC a/k/a Pike Development Corp. a/k/a Pike Realty, LLC, and QBE Insurance Company.

6.2.3

RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION OF THE MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OR ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND DELIVERY OF CERTAIN AGREEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE MORRIS COUNTY IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY’S 2010 COUNTY GUARANTEED LEASING PROGRAM WHEREAS, by Resolution dated September 13, 2010, the Mount Olive Township Board of Education (hereinafter the “Board”) approved the county guaranteed leasing program (hereinafter the “Program”) created by the Morris County Improvement Authority (the “Authority”); WHEREAS, by said Resolution, the Board authorized the Board President and certain Board officers to take all steps necessary to implement the Program and also ratified all such actions; WHEREAS, said Resolution does not recite that the Local Finance Board approved the Program by the Local Finance Board for the period following July 31, 2010; WHEREAS, after investigation, Board counsel has determined that the Authority sought and obtained approval of the Local Finance Board, thereby extending the Program to July 31, 2011; and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that its September 13, 2010 Resolution should be amended to reflect that the Program was extended from July 31, 2010 to July 31, 2011. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY, that it hereby amends its September 13, 2010 Resolution as follows: The Resolution approved by the Board on September 13, 2010 approving the county guaranteed leasing program created by the Morris County Improvement Authority shall include the following WHEREAS paragraphs: WHEREAS, the Authority made an application to the Local Finance Board for the extension of the Program until July 31, 2011 (the “2010 Program Extension”); and WHEREAS, the Local Finance Board at a meeting held on June 9, 2010 and by resolution did issue favorable findings with respect to the 2010 Program Extension, thereby extending the Program to July 31, 2011.
