Batman The Brave and Bold Season One, Volume One The Dark Knight returns for explosive action and humor in this four-episode collection from the all-new animated series. Venturing outside Gotham City, Batman (voiced by Diedrich Bader) battles fearsome foes with his endless arsenal of crime-fighting gadgets. The titular superhero teams with Green Arrow, Aquaman and other DC heroes in "Rise of the Blue Beetle," "Terror on Dinosaur Island," "Evil Under the Sea" and "Invasion of the Secret Santas." When Leonard is murdered by a gang of thugs, Harry feels compelled to act and is forced to dispense his own brand of justice. As he bids to clean up the run-down estate where he lives, his actions bring him into conflict with the police, led by investigating officer DCI Frampton (Emily Mortimer) and Charlie Creed-Miles. A soldier at 19, drafter of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, prisoner of war these are but a few of the milestones that mark Lafayette's illustrious and stormy career. PBS When Worlds Collide Exploring the roots of Latino culture, this thought-provoking documentary transports viewers to the intersection of two vastly different worlds -- the "Old World" of European Spain and the "New World" of the Americas. Stops along the way include the Cerro del Tepeyac of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, the bustling city of Granada in Spain's Andalusia region, and Philip II's Escorial palace outside of Madrid. PBS The Wall A World Divided Freedom With insights from political leaders like George H.W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev and Condoleezza Rice, explore the origins and demise of the notorious Berlin Wall, the structure's affect on ordinary German lives and the peaceful end to the Cold War. HBO The Experiment Das Experiment screenwriter Mario Giordano works with writer/director Paul Scheuring to craft this remake based on the notorious Stanford Prison Experiment. A team of scientists are conducting a psychological experiment that requires the participation of 20 subjects. The rules are simple: one group of subjects will be assigned the role of prison guards, while the others will be assigned the role of inmates. Though the guards are specifically instructed to maintain order without the use of force, no one is prepared for what happens when mutiny erupts, and civility erodes. Rock Prophecies Photographer Robert Knight has been capturing rock & roll history through his camera lens since the late '60s, snapping some of the earliest appearances of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones. But not content to be merely a classic-rock dinosaur, Knight continues to champion and mentor early-21st century musicians like the Australian band Sick Puppies and Texan guitarist Tyler Dow Bryant. This documentary from filmmaker John Chester chronicles Knight's amazing life and career in rock music and features interviews with many of his admirers (and frequent subjects), including Slash, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, Santana, Jeff Beck, and Steve Vai. PBS Mount St Helens Back From The Dead The May 18, 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens - a strato-volcano in southeastern Washington State -still checks in as the single most economically devastating volcanic catastrophe in the history of the U.S. The casualties were scarcely limited to dollars, though: 57 people died, untoward numbers of animals perished, and the eruption devastated hundreds of square miles of surrounding geographic territory and wiped out homes and businesses. But perhaps the biggest shock arrived in the years to follow: in lieu of remaining desolate as many had predicted, the area around the mountain witnessed a resurgence in plant and animal life, until the crater itself eventually became active once again. As written, produced and directed by Nick Davidson and aired on PBS as an episode of its groundbreaking Nova series, this documentary special draws on such resources as magnetic mapping, GPS and much more to ask incisive questions about the forces causing these geological and environmental shifts forces that may lie rooted in a hidden patchwork of faults far beneath the mountain's surface, and that could easily help geologists predict future eruptions. PBS Amount The Righteous MacNeil-Lehrer Productions and the journalist-cum-think tank leader Robert Satloff teamed up to create this unique documentary, directed by William Cran and adapted from a tome by Satloff. The program begins with a key question: given the breadth of Holocaust denial within the Arabic universe, did any Arabs play key roles in rescuing Jews from Nazi annihilation? Satloff sets out to find an Arab hero who filled this role; in the process, he not only found several of these individuals but uncovered a fascinating "lost history" concerning what happened to over 500,000 Jewish men and women who occupied the Arabic lands of North Africa just prior to the Second World War.
