Frankie Victor, AScT, BCQ Appointed to BC Building Code Appeal Board ASTTBC member, Frankie Victor, AScT, BCQ, has been appointed to the Building Code Appeal Board. The purpose of the Building Code Appeal Board is to provide rulings on the application and the interpretation of the BC Building Code in the event of a dispute between the building official (authority having jurisdiction) and the public. Frankie graduated from the BCIT Building Technology program in 1991 and went to work for the City of Nanaimo where she was a plans examiner and building inspector. In 2002 Frankie moved to GHL Consultants Ltd in Vancouver where she works in building codes and fire science. Frankie joined ASTTBC as a student member while at BCIT and achieved registration as an Applied Science Technologist in January 1994. Active with the Building Officials Association of BC (BOABC), Frankie has been the Secretary to the Executive Board since 2004.
