Project Goals: Over a 5-year period, build a network of skilled PCIT trainers and providers in LA County to increase the availability of PCIT for children and families. To achieve this overarching goal and sustain these gains over time, we perceive two phases of training. •

Phase I: builds PCIT training capacity by providing Advanced Training to approximately 98 current PCIT providers in LA County; o Assessment of PCIT services in LA County (Task 1), o Coordination with LACDMH and First 5 LA (Task 2), o Development of an advanced PCIT training program including a method for verifying current PCIT providers’ competencies (Task 3), o Implementation of the curriculum, focused on, but not limited to strengthening agency trainer of trainers’ ToTs training skills (Task 4). The curriculum will have four training platforms:  'PCIT for Traumatized Children' Web Course Advanced PCIT Training Workshop PCIT Training Consultation and Supervision  Post-Assessment Planning Meeting Phase II: builds capacity in PCIT treatment provision by training mental health providers in 20 agencies with no current PCIT program. o Curriculum development (Task 5) o Implementation (Task 6). Certification training will be an 8 month-long training program in three parts:  Program Development:  Fundamental & Skills Building/Evaluation of Skill Acquisition  PCIT Consultation and Supervision
