AIRFIELD IMPACTS TO ACCOMMODATE AIRFIELD STANDARDS AND PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT Work continues under MAA-CO-14-001 Airfield Standards and Pavement Rehabilitation Project. The next major phase (Phase 6) is construction of Taxiway U from Taxiway P to Taxiway T. This will begin on approximately April 1 and will be completed in mid June. CLOSURES: During this timeframe, the contractor will also require one “extended weekend” closure of Runway 10-28, which will begin on a Friday night at 11:00 p.m. and end on Sunday afternoon, no later than 4:00 p.m. This closure will be weather-sensitive, but is envisioned to be scheduled at the end of April. Also for the duration of this phase, Taxiway T will be closed between Taxiway C and Taxiway A to construct new taxiway pavement. Once Taxiway T is reopened, ten or fewer night closures of Taxiway P will be needed to complete pavement markings and joint sealing inside the taxiway safety area. Low-profile barricades will be used to divert traffic around the construction work limits. Coordination of this work has been ongoing between Maryland Aviation Administration, Federal Aviation Administration and affected tenants. The point of contact is Mr. Brian Crandell, Parsons Transportation Group, at 410-300-5136. ELECTRONIC COPY ORIGINAL ON FILE IN AIRPORT OPERATIONS John A.
