Rooted in Love: The Life and Martyrdom of Sister Dorothy Stang, SNDdeN A Performance by Sr. Nancy Murray, OP Rooted in Love is a one-woman performance on the life of Sister Dorothy Stang, SNDdeN. A Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, Sister Dorothy was murdered in 2005 for her work on behalf of the Amazon Rain Forest and the poor farmers who sought only to live there in peace. “I don't want to flee, nor do I want to abandon the battle of these farmers who live without any protection in the forest. They have the sacrosanct right to aspire to a better life on land where they can live and work with dignity while respecting the environment.” --Sr Dorothy Stang
