Dhanish , May’14 - till date) ◦ Objective :To develop a theoretical model to predict an inspection time of cylindrical components. ◦ Inspection time would be helpful to calculate the inspection cost of the component. ◦ In this project work uniform sampling strategy is used for cylinder inspection. ◦ MATLAB codes are used to create GUI for uniform sampling strategy & inspection time prediction. • Reverse engineering applications for recovery of broken or worn parts and re-manufacturing. V B Tungikar) ◦ Objective : To compare wear characteristics of AlT iB2 & Copper material on Wear and Testing Machine (Make:DUCOM). ◦ Wear equation of FGM (AlT iB2 ) and conventional material (Copper) is found out in terms of load, sliding speed & test time. ◦ Statistical model is compared with theoretical equation • Design process automation support through knowledge base engineering for knuckle joint ◦ MATLAB Codes are used for design calculation of knuckle joint ◦ CAD model is created using Creo 2.0 CAD package ◦ Excel sheet is generated with the help of MATLAB GUI to store different parameters obtained through design calculations. ◦ Parameters in excel sheet are passed to Creo 2.0 for creation of CAD model .
