PLAN: Student Entry of Desired Courses 1. Log into MyWP using your regular WP email address. https://mywp.warnerpacific.edu

2. Select Academics

2

3

3. Select Plan Courses

4. This is the course planning menu where you will build a worksheet of your desired courses, view the approvals and comments from your advisor, and register for courses. Use Create/Add to Worksheet to put in desired courses and Modify Worksheet if you need to delete something. The Advisorapproved Ed Plan merges your worksheet with the courses that your advisor has approved.

4

5. Select your program (major). Everyone starts out with an undeclared major. If you’re ready to declare a major, or if you’ve decided to change your major or add a second major or a minor, you can complete a Major/Minor Update form in the Records Office. In the meantime, select the program that is currently listed.

5

6. Search for and select your desired courses. Note: you are identifying the courses you would like to take; you will select specific sections (times) during registration. If you want to see which courses are offered in the upcoming semester, you can use the “Search for Sections” function in MyWP.

7. Here is an example of the results of a search. Click to select a course and then enter the desired term.

8. Here is an example of the plan after selecting some courses. Each time you add a course, it will display your worksheet. You can add another course by clicking on “Catalog Search and Add” until you have added all your desired courses. When you are finished, click on “Email my Advisor” to let your advisor know that you’ve entered your Educational Plan.

When finished, use this to E-mail your advisor

Use this to add more courses to your plan.

Use this to remove courses from your plan. 7

ADVISE: Meet with your advisor to review your course choices, make necessary adjustments to the schedule, and gain approval for the courses. You’ll also likely identify which sections of each course would work best for your schedule. Here is an example of what the advisor will see when looking at a worksheet:

The advisor can add, delete, or change the term on the courses in the workbook. Only the ones that the advisor approves can be used for registration. Below is an example of what the Educational Plan shown above will look like to the advisor after adding and/or approving courses. Note that there is still one class that is not approved on this example. As you discuss your schedule with your advisor, s/he can list the exact section number you have identified for each approved course on your plan. These can be listed in the “Public Notes” section of your Educational Plan for you to access while registering for classes.

REGISTER:

Students are allowed to register based on their anticipated class standing at the beginning of the next semester (i.e. your currently transcribed credits – both transfer and those completed at WP – plus the credits for which you are currently enrolled). When you are eligible to register, log back into MyWP and use the Register option on the Plan Courses menu.

11. Log into MyWP using your regular WP email address. https://mywp.warnerpacific.edu

10

12. Select Academics

13. Select Plan Courses

14. Select Register

12

15. If your advisor entered the specific section numbers you identified in your advising session, you can access those in the “Public Worksheet Notes” section of the screen. Or, you might want to use the “Search for Sections” menu item to confirm what times each course will be offered before proceeding to the actual registration. You can use the “Plan Courses” menu to get back to this screen at any time.

.

13

16. Select the approved courses for registration. Selecting all courses at one time will display all available sections for each course. Clicking an individual course then “Submit” will display the available sections for that course. You will have the option of changing the section selections up until the final registration step, if necessary.

17. Select the sections. The system will display the available section(s). Select the one(s) that you want.

14

18. When you hit submit on the section selection screen, it will take you to the Register for Sections Screen. This will display of all the sections you have chosen up to that point which is called the Preferred Section listing. You can delete sections from this list if desired.

15

19. The next step is registration. Review the preferred section list to confirm that it only shows your final choices. Registering for all sections at the same time is strongly recommended. Select the appropriate registration type, scroll to the bottom of the screen and hit submit.

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click submit.

20. The system will check to make sure that you are eligible to register for the selected section(s) at this time. It will look for things like any preparation steps that were not completed, whether or not it is your time to register, advisor approval, pre-requisites, and schedule conflicts with other sections you have registered for. Messages will appear at the top of the screen to tell you of any problems it has found. You will need to resolve any of those issues before you can complete your registration. It will remember your preferred sections list while you resolve any issues. 21. When registration is successful, a screen will appear showing the results of your actions. Once it says “Registered for this Section”, the registration is final and any deletions must be processed by the Records Office staff. Here is a sample of a completed registration: 16
