Mother Bird _____ mother Liz has a pet bird. Her bird is going to be a mother bird. The mother bird sits on her nest. She has three eggs in her nest. She looks at the three eggs. She listens to the eggs. She looks for three birds under her wings.

Liz says, “Look, they are in the nest! One, two, three!” The mother bird looks at her three children. Liz runs to tell Pam and Jill. “My pet has three birds under her wings,” she says. “Are they in a box?” says Pam. “No, they are in their nest,” says Liz Pam and Jill run to the nest. They look at mother bird and her three birds. “One, two, three!” says Jill. “Four birds live in the nest. You do not have a pet, Liz. You have four pets!” Teresa Ries
