Fonds Description Ellen Stephen, Oder of St. Helena (OSH) fonds. – 1986‐2000. 7cm of textual materials. 4 CDs. Biographical Sketch Ellen Stephen joined the Order of St. Helena in the Episcopal Church in 1964 a few years after completing her M.A. in Creative Writing from Stanford University. Ellen has published several poetry collections as well as spirituality titles. An experienced spiritual director, she travels extensively as a speaker about religious life, and serves as a consultant for religious communities. Ellen Stephen still lives in a convent where she is working on her third full‐length play. Scope and Content The collection consists of textual records, both typewritten and handwritten, as well as CDs and newsprint. Notes The correspondence between Ellen Stephen OSH and Jane Rule came into the possession of the UBC Archives by the donation of Ellen Stephen OSH.
