Osmar A. 4th Grade The Vortex This all happened one summer when we found a cave in the woods. I live near a forest that has a cave. It isn’t anything exciting but I explored it and it could be turned into a hide out for me and my friends James, Dan, and Jose. What I didn’t know was that there was a vortex!!! I told my friends but they didn’t believe me so I took them to the cave. It was so dark that we slipped on a rock and fell into the vortex. We were in a room filled with portals. Any wrong movement we go fall into a portal. We were clumsy again and James fell into another one!!! We waited a day so we could prepare for what was in the portal, then we jumped in after him. We got my mom’s bb gun, an ax, machete and more weapons plus food. We went into the vortex and there was a war on one side of the world and the other side happiness. It took us a year to fight. We were disappearing. I felt brave and strong. I felt as though I was fighting for the U.S. When we found James we were happy but could barely move. We stayed to rest and gave weapons to James and had to find the vortex. We found one we were back in the portal room. We found a book and it said I was the portal keeper and my friends would help me keep this place safe. We were now warriors to keep this place safe. Will they keep this place safe? To be continued…
