SEALL 4 Venues ~ The Stables, Clan Donald Skye, Armadale
There is parking immediately in front of the building
Stage area between central pillars, with balustrade removed
This is a warm sound space with lots of wood and fabric and works well for totally acoustic nights and for small P.A. set ups. The Stables is the restaurant built in the style of a 19th C wooden panelled high-ceilinged room, used for smaller more acoustic concerts. The venue can seat around 70 comfortably with tables cabaret style, or up to 100 in rows. Parking and Access There is good parking at the door. The performance space is along 20 feet of corridor with three doors. Surfaces The venue is a wood-lined semi-circular two story high room with some raised seating around the edges. There are some curtains and a spring wood main floor. Stage Area The stage area is carpeted and approximately 4 metres wide and 2 metres deep, raised 0.5 metres above the floor. For more than 4 performers we can reverse the layout and place the stage area at the opposite side of the room, by the entrance. Electricity There are several 13 amp sockets House Lights There are dimmable over-head chandeliers. Stage Lighting There are 4 small spots for a warm glow on the performance area. Sound 24 channel digitan and an Allen and Heath analogue desk, mics, stands, cables, reverb, graphic equalisers, f.o.h. powered speakers and 4 monitor mixes. Off-stage There is no real green-room available. There is a side room for tuning up which is visible to the public at the entrance, so you might need to use the public toilets for changing. Tickets and Sales Tickets and Sales tables are set up just inside public door.
