AN CRÙBH DUISDALE

MAIRI CAMPBELL: AULD LANG SYNE Solo fiddle and song-led theatre

Join us for an evening with Mairi Campbell who will start with a set of her acoustic solo songs followed by her new five star show, Auld Lang Syne. Mairi tells us of her adventures with Scotland’s most famous song: singing for US President Bill Clinton, a starring role in Sex and the City and a reinterpretation of the Robert Burns’ classic that changed her life. Delivered with her trademark wit, gentle charm and unparalleled musical ability, this sequel to five-star Pulse, is a funny and heartfelt show that resonates with universal truths. Thig ann an cuideachd Màiri Chaimbeul airson seata de na h-òrain aice fhèin agus an uair sin an consart ùr aice a th’ air còig rionnagan a chosnadh leis an luchd-lèirmheis, Auld Lang Syne. Anns a’ chuirm seo, cluinnear a cuid sgeulachdan co-cheangailte ris an òran Albannach as ainmeile, Auld Lang Syne, mar a sheinn i dha Ceann-suidhe nan Stàitean, Bill Clinton, mun a’ phàirt a bh’ aice ann an Sex and the City agus mìneachadh às ùr den òran le Burns a dh’atharraich a beatha. Tha a’ chuirm air a liubhairt le àbhachdas, bàidh agus sàr chomasan ciùil, mar a rinn i leis an taisbeanadh mu dheireadh aice, Pulse. ‘S e taisbeanadh èibhinn agus cridheil a th’ ann anns a bheil fìrinn a dh’aithnicheas sinn uile. Air a cho-dhealbhadh agus a stiùireadh le Kath Burlinson. Page 10 SEALL SPRING PROGRAMME 2019
