2018 STATE CHALLENGE SUNDAY 18TH MARCH 2018 SA ATHLETICS STADIUM, RAILWAY TERRACE, M ILE END The State Challenge (SC) is for registered athletes in the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups. The SC is a competition for athletes who did not quite qualify for the State Individual Championships, but have bettered or equalled the SC qualifying standard(s) for the nominated athletic event(s) on at least one occasion within the specified qualification period. This event is an exciting opportunity for athletes to compete at SA’s premier athletics facility and finish off the season with some personal bests (PBs) in what is one of the most “feel good” events on the Little Athletics SA calendar! Most individual events are held for each age group, with the top three placed athletes awarded medals. Finals will not be conducted for this event; medals will be based on heat times. Field events will be best of three attempts (no final 8). To be able to compete in this event, athletes must meet the specified qualifying and eligibility requirements, with qualifying ending on Sunday 25th February 2018. In addition, athletes must have registered for the 2017 / 2018 season by no later than Sunday 31st December 2017.
