The Employee Free Choice Act: Stalled in the Senate in 2008 and likely to pass in 2009, the Employee Free Choice Act would change 70 years of established labor law by eliminating secret ballot elections in favor of a “card check” authorization for union representation. If this law passes, far more of the U.S. workforce is likely to become unionized.
