Edward M. Adler Senior Vice President, Development & Acquisitions, The Missner Group Mr. Adler is a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry and the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for the firm. He leads the firm's real estate acquisitions, business development, and capital fundraising for syndication and equity funds. As Senior Vice President, Mr. Adler sources equity investment opportunities thereby bringing qualified investments to the firm, its partners, and its clients. He is responsible for the development and maintenance of solid donor relationships, and the identification and implementation of new direct response programs intended to increase income and reduce the cost of fundraising. Mr. Adler also manages the real estate brokers responsible for the sale or leasing of the firm's properties and has been instrumental in the completion of several major lease signings on the firm's behalf. Prior to joining the Missner Group in 2004, Mr. Adler was a partner at Landstar Development, a private equity and real estate acquisition firm where he was responsible for more than 30 transactions valued in excess of $100 million. Mr. Adler was also employed as a commercial real estate broker for a number of years for firms including Sheldon F. Good & Associates, Baird & Warner Commercial and Grubb & Ellis where he was consistently recognized as a top producer. Mr. Adler is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He is an active volunteer for the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF).

Mr. Becker is a seasoned real estate and transaction attorney with more than 25 years of practice. His emphasis is in complex commercial real estate lease negotiations, real estate acquisitions, dispositions and development matters. He is also a member of the Village of Deerfield Planning Commission. Mr. Bober serves as Division President for LMC’s Midwest Division with a focus on the Chicago market and plans for future expansion throughout the Midwest. He comes from Lennar, where he served as Division President of the Chicago division. During his tenure at Lennar, Doug was responsible for all operations in the Chicago Market. Mr. Bober has an extensive background in the acquisition, entitlement, and construction of residential communities, including single family, mid-rise, and high-rise construction. Prior to Lennar, he held various roles at Pulte Group, a leading national homebuilder.

Mr. Cukierman has 24 years of progressive experience, responsibility, visibility, and success in the real estate development field. During the course of his career, he has successfully acquired land and executed entitlements for over 3,200 residential units in mixed-use developments in Chicago and its bordering suburbs. He played a key role in the success of Concord Homes becoming the only suburban homebuilder to achieve a preeminent position as one of the City of Chicago’s most prolific builders. His vision and demonstrated ability to capitalize on Chicago’s position in the national and global market makes him a valuable asset to any real estate development organization that wishes to establish a presence or strengthen its existing presence in the Chicago Metro area. Lynn Dubajic Executive Director, Yorkville Economic Development Corporation

Ms. Dubajic is the Executive Director of the Yorkville Economic Development Corporation, with over 6 years experience in economic development. Her expertise includes business district development, marketing analysis, as well as strategic and community planning. Ms. Dubajic is also responsible for providing outreach to the existing businesses in the community to tend to their economic health, develop an adequate workforce, provide training options and assist with business expansion, redevelopment and retention in Yorkville. With over 42,000 square miles in Yorkville’s planning area, the United City of Yorkville is experiencing substantial growth. William J. Dvorak Director, Development Services | MedProperties Group Mr. Dvorak leads development activities at MedProperties Group. His development experience spans a variety of asset classes including medical office, retail, residential, and industrial, with a specialty in mixed-use development. Prior to joining MedProperties Group, Mr. Dvorak was a Senior Program Manager for Structured Development, LLC, where he was responsible for the sourcing, underwriting, and management of the firm's development projects, managing nearly $600 million in ground up development and adaptive re-use projects in the Chicago area. Prior to joining Structured Development, Mr. Dvorak was a licensed architect with Valerio Dewalt Train Associates. Mr. Dvorak earned an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BS in Architectural Studies and Masters in Architecture, both from the University of Illinois.

Norris Eber is the President of Abbell Associates and oversees all acquisitions and dispositions; asset management; investor relations; and strategic partnerships for Abbell. Prior to Abbell, Norris was EVP of Assets and Acquisitions at Joseph Freed & Associates. Before Joseph Freed Norris was SVP of Asset Management and Acquisitions for Tucker Properties. Mr. Eber serves on the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Open Air Center Committee, ICSC Education Advisory Committee and the ICSC Foundation as a member of the Board of Directors. He is a past ICSC Central Division VP, ICSC Trustee and State Director for Illinois. Abbell Associates is a 70-year old private real estate acquisition, management and development company currently specializing in both enclosed and open-air retail and office projects. Based in the Midwest, Abbell Associates is focused on unlocking the hidden value in retail centers and office buildings through innovative leasing, management and re-development strategies with over 2.5 million square feet of ground up development as well as redevelopment of existing shopping centers has been successfully undertaken in recent years.

Peter Eisenberg Principal, Clark Street Real Estate Peter Eisenberg is a Principal of Clark Street Real Estate. Clark Street acquires, develops, redevelops, leases, and owns commercial real estate in the United States and abroad. The company’s primary focus is the development and redevelopment of retail shopping centers and single tenant buildings. Clark Street also has significant experience in mixed-use, industrial, and land development. In addition to his responsibilities at Clark Street, Mr. Eisenberg is actively involved in the International Council of Shopping Centers, serving on the ICSC Foundation Board of Directors and on the Illinois State Committee. He is a Co-Founder and an Emeritus Member of ICSC’s Next Generation National Advisory Group as well. Mr. Eisenberg passionately supports The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation serving as President and a Founding Board Member. The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation funds gastrointestinal cancer research at Northwestern University and provides scholarships, mentoring opportunities, and several real estate education related programs to undergraduate and graduate level students throughout the Midwest. Mr. Eisenberg graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He also earned a Juris Doctorate degree as well as an LL.M. in Real Estate Law with honors from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago where he serves on the Advisory Board for the Center of Real Estate Law.

Michael Glandt Vice President, Fifth Third Bank Mr. Glandt has been in commercial real estate lending for 11 years (four years at LaSalle Bank and seven years at Fifth Third Bank). He is part of Fifth Third Bank’s National Public Real Estate Group that focuses lending to commercial real estate owners and operators that receive institutional equity and have a national presence. Vijay Jayaraman Managing Director, Southport Growth Partners

Vijay Jayaraman is Managing Director of Southport Growth Partners, an investment firm focused on real estate private equity opportunities in developing markets. Previously, he was cohead of investments at Equity International (EI) and served on the firm’s investment committee, leading investments in real estate operating companies in India, Brazil and Japan/China. Prior to EI, he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs in private equity and investment banking, and was based in New York, London, Singapore and Mumbai over that time. John Lockerby Village Manager, Village of Skokie, Illinois

John Lockerby was appointed the Village Manager of Skokie, IL in January, 2014. Prior to this appointment he served as the Assistant Village Manager of Skokie. He has worked in local government administration for nearly 20 years, including the Village of Skokie, Village of Woodridge and City of McHenry. He has earned the designation of Credentialed Manager from the International City/County Management Association. Mr. Lockerby holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor Degree in Human Services from Virginia Wesleyan College. David D. Low Jr. Vice President Development & Construction, Clark Street Real Estate

With over 30 years experience in Construction and Development, Clark Street Real Estate added David D. Low, Jr. to their team as a principal and Vice President of Construction to start 2008. His project experience includes major commercial renovations, mixed use, retail repositioning and redevelopment, theater complexes, restaurants, industrial uses, medical office buildings, and large site developments. Mr. Low’s expertise in construction and development includes construction of retail projects in over 24 states, and this expertise will lead to the implementation of Clark Street’s projects. Dan Major Director of Acquisitions, The Scion Group Dan Major joined The Scion Group, the largest private operator of purpose-built student housing communities, in November 2013 as a Financial Analyst. At Scion, Dan has been directly involved in underwriting $1.5+ billion and acquiring $220+ million in student housing properties. He is also heavily involved in the management of Scion’s current portfolio, which consists of 24 communities at 19 universities across 13 states. Prior to joining The Scion Group, Dan was a Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer at Wintrust Financial Corporation. In his three years at Wintrust, Dan managed a portfolio of commercial mortgages across property types including multi‐family, industrial, retail, office, parking and hotels. Dan graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2009 with a BS in Finance.

Barry Millman President, Horizon Realty Services HEEF Speaker Series Chairman

Barry Millman was born and raised in Chicago. He received a BA in Public Administration from the University of Wisconsin and Masters in Health Care Administration and Law from Saint Louis University. He entered the practice of Hospital Administration and rose to COO of Saint Mary of Nazareth Health Center in Chicago, which included acting as the Real Estate Developer for a 473 Bed Hospital . Ready for a new career he opened with his wife a high end retail boutique in Glencoe, Illinois in 1981 which grew to 7,000 sf. The store was quite successful and during that time he became friendly with many local Shopping Center developers. Upon the sale of the Business in 1991 he joined Craig Steven Development as a Leasing agent with responsibility for several properties on the North Shore. Once the properties were fully leased he moved on to the Childs Realty Group in Arlington Heights as a Senior Broker for a large number of 3rd party managed and leased properties. In the year 2000 he and his partner, Stuart Lenhoff, purchased the company and became the principals of the newly named Horizon Realty Services. He is now responsible indirectly and directly for the Leasing of 120 properties, multi and single tenant and the management of 1,300,000 sf of retail space in 29 properties. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and recognized in the community as a Leasing Specialist. He also the Chairman of the Speakers Program for the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation and where he coordinates a group of 40 professionals who volunteer their time speaking to University Real Estate Programs thoughout the Midwest. He has lectured extensively at many local Universities. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation . Horizon employs 12 people and has offices located in Buffalo Grove. Millman resides with his wife in Northfield and is the father of three.

Lawrence Much Executive Vice President | Principal, NAI Hiffman

Lawrence R. Much is an Executive Vice President and founding Principal of NAI Hiffman. Larry specializes in industrial real estate including building sales, tenant representation, corporate relocation, build-to-suit analysis and consulting. Larry has negotiated lease agreements and purchase/sale contracts for warehouses, manufacturing plants, office buildings and vacant land across the country since 1987. Education Drake University Bachelor of Arts, Sociology Background & Experience Larry has completed over 350 transactions ranging in size from 10,000 square feet to 700,000 square feet with a value in excess of $850,000,000. Guy Ponticiello Managing Director, CBRE Corporate Capital Markets and Net Leasing Group

Career Summary Mr. Ponticiello recently joined CBRE’s Corporate Capital Markets and Net Lease Property Group in the Americas as Managing Director. CBRE’s Corporate Capital Markets team provides advice, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and execution for alternative capital solutions for corporately owned and occupied real estate. CBRE’s Net Lease Property Group advises institutions, private equity firms, REITs, developers and investors in all facets of single-tenant net-leased properties. Based in Chicago, Mr. Ponticiello will become the group’s national practice leader. Mr. Ponticiello has nearly 20 years of real estate transaction experience (last 14 years at Jones Lang LaSalle) serving corporations, institutional investors, financial institutions and developer clients and has sold in excess of $5 billion of real estate assets during his career. A significant component of Mr. Ponticiello’s transaction sales expertise stems from sale leaseback, build-to-suit developments, net lease investment sales, acquisitions and corporate surplus dispositions throughout the US and Mexico. Prior to working at CBRE and Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Ponticiello was a vice president with a national real estate marketing firm, which specialized in sealed bid sales for both public sector and corporate clients. He spent 2 years working for Mexico’s top financial institutions, living in Mexico City, helping them dispose of hundreds of millions in real estate assets resulting from defaults following Mexico’s peso devaluation in 1994. His duties included business development and project management for major corporate and institutional clients. Education and Affiliations Mr. Ponticiello holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Philosophy from DePaul University. Mr. Ponticiello is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Illinois and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Urban Land Institute.

William A. Shiner Founder and CEO, Shiner Capital Partners Mr. Shiner is the Chairman, CEO and founding principal of Shiner Capital. His primary responsibilities include chairing the Investment Committee, fundraising and sourcing investment opportunities. Prior to Shiner Capital, William A. Shiner founded Shiner Group (formerly MidNorthern Equities, Ltd.) in 1982 for the purpose of acquiring and developing real estate in the Midwest. Acting as sole principal for the past 30-plus years, Mr. Shiner has developed and owned more than 4.4 million square feet of retail real estate, 100,000 square feet of office space and has acquired more than 1,000 acres of land for development. With a focus on grocery and pharmacy-anchored centers, he has completed over 50 projects involving most major national and regional tenants in these categories. Over the years, Mr. Shiner has led every aspect of the development process, including site identification and planning, zoning and entitlement, leasing, construction, financing and operations. This experience has allowed Mr. Shiner to successfully invest in projects across various risk profiles and economic cycles.

Mr. Shiner graduated with a finance degree from the University of Illinois in 1978 and is a CPA. He received his J.D. from Kent College of Law in 1984. From 1997 thru 2005, Mr. Shiner served on the Wilmette District #37 School Board, the last four years as President. He is active in many charitable endeavors, including the University of Illinois Foundation, Children’s Memorial Hospital and MS Society, among others. He resides with his wife, Jackie, in Northfield, IL and has two children, Meredith and Sam.

Wayne Shulman Senior Managing Director, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank

Wayne Shulman has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience primarily specializing in office leasing on behalf of tenants. He has worked with numerous small, medium sized business and large corporations like JP Morgan Chase, Charter One Bank and the Chicago Board of Options Exchange. Wayne is used to taking on the tougher assignments that other brokers didn't want to do or didn't think could get done. He is very passionate about his work and clients can be assured that Wayne is on their team. Every assignment is handled conscientiously and worked on until the client is totally satisfied. Wayne is known for his persistence, loyalty and never give up attitude. YOUR TEAM SAMANTHA (SPINELL) SCHNELL LEASING REPRESENTATIVE Samantha S. Schnell is a Leasing Representative responsible for leasing space in Mid-America’s retail property portfolio. She interned with Mid-America Asset Management Inc. for three (3) consecutive summers prior to joining the Mid-America Asset Management team permanently in May 2011. Her responsibilities include developing appropriate merchandising plans for each shopping center, and actively marketing and negotiating retail space to new and existing tenants. Additional responsibilities for each property include creating deal specific analyses, overall property impact analyses, and developing strategic execution plans. Samantha has extensive experience in an array of product types including, specialty leasing of lifestyle centers, power centers and traditional grocery anchored centers. Through her work with each product type, she has formed strong relationships with local, regional and national tenants. Samantha graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business with a double major in Finance and Marketing. She is currently a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), is a co-chair on the board of the ICSC Next Generation Committee and is involved in the Women in Retail Leasing Association (WIRL).

Ashley Szatkowski Director of Finance and Acquisitions, Syndicated Equities

Ashley Szatkowski is the Director of Finance and Acquisitions at Syndicated Equities. Ashley joined the firm in August 2015 and focuses on developing strategic relationships with lenders and acquiring strong cash-flowing properties for our investors. She works with new and existing lender relationships to structure financing for the firm's investments as well as coordinate due diligence and negotiate PSA's during the acquisition process. Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team from her many years as a Commercial Banker with MB Financial Bank. Ashley earned her B.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a specialty in Finance and Management. She is an active member of CREW Chicago (Commercial Real Estate Women) and REEF (Real Estate Finance Forum). Ashley and her family live in Crystal Lake.

Steven D. Weinstock Vice President / Regional Manager, Marcus & Millichap

Mr. Weinstock is Vice President / Regional Manager of the Chicago Oak Brook office of Marcus & Millichap. Mr. Weinstock initially joined the Detroit office of Marcus & Millichap in April 2001 where he was Vice President Investments as well as Director of the National Multi Housing Group and Member of the National Self-Storage Group. With over $500,000,000 in closed investment sale transactions, Steven earned multiple agent awards for productivity and results. In 2008, Steven realized he wanted to share his experience and help others achieve their goals and became Sales Manager for the Cincinnati and Columbus offices. In 2009, Steven was promoted to Regional Manager of the Chicago Oak Brook office and was elected as Vice President in 2012. Benjamin J. Wineman Principal, Mid-America Real Estate Group

Ben Wineman is a Principal at Mid-America Real Estate Group, a retail real estate services firm based in Chicago with offices in Detroit, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. Ben is a Partner in MidAmerica’s Investment Sales Group, focusing specifically on the disposition of multi-tenant retail properties throughout the greater Midwest region. Mr. Wineman is responsible for the generation and execution of disposition assignments, as well assisting in the overall management of the investment sales group. As part of Mid-America’s Investment Sales Group, Ben has been involved in a transaction volume in excess of $4.6 billion since 2001, across over 450 transactions and over 42 million square feet. Mr. Wineman has fourteen years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Mid-America Real Estate in 2001, Mr. Wineman worked as a financial analyst with Jones Lang LaSalle since 1998. As part of LaSalle Investment Management’s Private Equity Acquisitions Group, he was responsible for the valuation, due diligence, and closing of real estate acquisitions on behalf of institutional clients. Among Mr. Wineman’s duties included underwriting of all major property types and classes; modeling equity and leveraged scenarios for direct acquisitions, joint ventures, and developments; conducting due diligence reviews; and management of the closing process. A graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, Mr. Wineman earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with a major in History and minor in Political Science. Within the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Ben is a member of the Illinois State Committee as well as the National Government Relations Economic Policy Sub-Committee. Ben is an active member of the Ravinia Festival Associates Board and the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation Executive Committee.

Kevin J. Wolfberg Partner, Schain Banks

Kevin Wolfberg is a partner with Schain, Burney, Banks & Kenny, Ltd. where he practices in the areas of government relations, state and local taxation, land use, zoning, economic incentives and municipal law. Mr. Wolfberg represents developers, land owners and Illinois municipalities in all aspects of land use, zoning and economic incentives. He also represents a wide range of corporate and individual clients on state and local tax matters including sales tax planning, audit assistance, identifying and securing sales tax overpayments and nexus and exposure studies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wolfberg served as a Multistate Tax Manager for a big four accounting firm and has been involved in state and local taxes since 1995. While in public accounting, he resolved clients’ tax controversies with various state, county and municipal governments and specialized in the real estate and construction industries. Mr. Wolfberg co-authored the "Sales and Use Tax" Chapter in the 2004 Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education handbook on Illinois State and Local Taxation. As an Adjunct Professor at the John Marshall Law School, he teaches State and Local Taxation and is a frequent speaker on sales and use tax issues.
