NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Merrimack Valley Regional Transit Authority is considering the followingservice improvements: A.
Improve weekday and Saturday bus route frequency in Haverhill from 90 minutes to 60 minutes (hourly service with timed transfers at the Washington Square Transit Station) on the following routes: 13, 14, 15, 16, 18. Change weekday service hours to 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and change Saturday service hours to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
B.
Provide local bus service on all local routes on a Saturday schedule on the following new holidays: President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Patriot’s Day.
C.
Provide Sunday service on all local routes on a Saturday service schedule.
D.
Provide a new bus route in Lawrence bordered by Common, Jackson, Park, and Broadway Streets on weekdays/Saturdays/Holidays.
E.
Improve weekday and Saturday service frequency from 70 minutes to 60 minutes on Route 51, Haverhill/Merrimac/Amesbury and Route 54, Amesbury/Newburyport/ Salisbury.
F.
Realign Route 54 in Newburyport by shifting service from High Street to Low Street.
G.
For the Boston Commuter service, add an additional outbound peak hour trip(either at 4:30 or 4:45 p.m.)
H.
For the Boston Commuter service, provide service on Veteran’s Day, President’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, and Patriot’s Day.
