PR5302 Plate Configuration Installation From soft coat to hard coat & From hard coat to soft coat
Softcoat to Hardcoat Conversion Instructions 1) First, turn off the printer and unplug the laminator’s power cord. Remove the side cover by removing the top and bottom screws.

2) Open the laminator side door and remove the extension bar screw to expose the heat roller assembly (Fig 3). The plates to be configured are located to left & right of the orange roller (Fig 4).

3) Remove plate 3 as shown in Fig 5 and replace with the angled plate shown in Fig 6 using the same screws.

4) Next remove plate 3 (Fig 8) as shown below. This plate is fasten to the roller assembly with 2 screws and can only be accessed through the bottom of the assembly.

5) Your plate configuration should now look like the following:
Fig 8 with an angled plate on each side of the roller.
6) Fasten the extension bar back with a screw and place the side cover back onto the unit.

Hardcoat to Softcoat Conversion Instructions 1) Repeat steps 1 & 2 from the Softcoat to Hardcoat conversion.

2) Remove plate 1 (Fig 2) and replace with a straight plate (Fig 3).

3) Add the L shape plate (Fig 4) to the side with the angled plate as shown in Fig 5.

Fig 6 5) Fasten the extension bar back with a screw and place the side cover back onto the unit.
