Project Description: Establish a 2.5 year program of Peer Support Groups for Parents to foster social connections, reduce isolation, and encourage sharing knowledge and skills among parents within each community. In coordination with five CBOs the Lead Agency will develop 20 peer support groups for parents in each of the five Supervisorial Districts for a total of 100 groups based on the assessed needs of each District. The Lead Agency will also coordinate with the subcontracting CBOs to recruit parents and identify and train peer facilitators for the support groups. The Lead Agency will work closely with the Curriculum Development/Training and Technical Assistance (TA Provider) to support the community needs assessment, specifically focus group/key informant recruitment, in order to design the support group curriculum, including educational topics. The Lead Agency will also coordinate with First 5 LA and its contractor on the evaluation plan. Performance Objectives
