Pedal Exercise 1. Start with your right foot down on the right pedal 2. Play a note and lift your foot—keep your finger down 3. Put your foot back down 4. Lift your finger 5. Repeat steps two through five as needed It is important make the movements of your foot going up and your finger going down habitual. Our instinct (if that is the right word) is to go up or down with both your foot and your hand.
