Part-time Research Assistant Opportunity at UCSF
Seeking a part-time (20-40% effort) bilingual Chinese/English research assistant to assist in a two year study focused on food insecurity among diverse older adult patients with multiple chronic conditions at UCSF and to explore the utility of using Photovoice (a process in which participants take photos) in the clinical setting. Duties include administering a brief telephone survey to participants, conducting one-onone interviews with participants (patients and physicians) and observation of clinic visits with patients and physicians. Some translation of study materials (English to Chinese) and transcription and translation of interview transcripts (Chinese transcription and then translation to English). Fluent proficiency in spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) required. Will need to complete online human subjects research training offered by UCSF if not already completed and current. Work schedule 9 AM to 5 PM with potential occasional evening hours, flexible on days of week.
