The City of Flint, (the City), Purchases & Supplies Department has issued addendum #1 to the above referenced proposal. Please include this and any additional attached documents as part of the specification. The City has revised the following pages: • Pages 12-15 of the specification have been revised to reflect the proper name of each zone which now corresponds to the name of the zones listed on page 22 (page entitled “Summary of Bid Totals”). Contractors submitting proposals, must acknowledge receipt of this addendum on page 34 by printing “Received Addendum #1” by the signature line. Currently, the due date for this proposal will remain on Thursday, January 18, 2018 by 3:00 PM (EST). Please note that proposals may not be faxed into the Purchasing Department for acceptance. Scope of Services: Contractors shall provide all labor equipment, materials, incidentals and other related materials required to complete and satisfactory groom, nurture, cultivate, sustain, and otherwise maintain the specified parkland and lawns provided by the City of Flint. Work shall be completed within one week’s time, every two weeks between spring and fall with specific dates provided by the City. The City reserves the right to delay mowing based on weather and ground conditions and cancel mowing during dry months. The City’s goal is to mow each park, trail, median, traffic triangle, cemetery, and golf course bi-weekly, at least 14 times per season, with 6 optional mows to be used if the City deems necessary. All properties in Zone 6: Municipal Buildings, will be mowed weekly. Zone 6 will be managed by the Department of Public Works staff on a separate contract. All properties in Zone 7, will be individually priced additive alternatives only, and added on to contracts as needed by the City on a property by property basis. All services will be performed according to the highest industry standards for such services. All non-routine work shall have prior approval from the managing division at the City of Flint as this work is generally done at an additional cost over and above the contracted prices.
