VIT University, one of the premier institutes in India, established in 1984. The School of Information Technology & Engineering (SITE) emphasizes the fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering and Domain Specific Applications so as to facilitate the evolution of skills in students to help them attain a higher degree of knowledge, global competency and excellence, for the betterment of the society. The Research and instructional programs strive to establish a strong component of practical engagement with private enterprises. SITE offers M.S (by research), and Ph.D programs apart from M.Tech [IT], M.Tech(CCM) ,B.Tech [IT], M.Tech [Software Engineering], MCA, BCA and B.Sc [Multimedia and Animation] programs. In addition, the school offers highly specialized programs such as M.Tech [Software Development & Management] for Cognizant Technology Solutions and M.S(IT) for Wipro. The programs are designed to cater to the ever-changing needs and demands of the IT industry. Major areas of research include Computer Networks, Parallel Architecture, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Cloud Computing, Intelligence Systems and Computer Graphics. It has highly qualified faculty members and distinguished professionals from industry and eminent researchers.
The University was established with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards dedicated to provide excellence in teaching, research and service. Our Memoranda of Understanding with various international universities are our major strength. It also provides an opportunity for students and faculty exchange programs with international universities to encourage joint research collaborations for mutual benefit. The campus has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with students from all parts of the globe. The latest CAL Curriculum offered at the University covers the latest developments in the respective discipline with focus on student projects and designed based on market needs, whereby employability, developing skills as an entrepreneur and grooming students as young scientists are major priorities. Nanotechnology, Nano-biotechnology, Bio-separation Technology and Biomaterials . Research centers are also part of the school, encouraging interdepartmental collaboration and opportunity for students to participate in exciting research projects. The university offers 27 Undergraduate and 30 Postgraduate programmes.
The academic programmes of the School have been designed to cater to the ever changing needs and demands of the IT industry. The focus is on holistic learning and empowering students to make significant contributions at all levels. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Digital Communication Department focuses on high quality education and research. This department offers M. Tech (Computer and Communication) purely interdisciplinary course in Computer Science, Electronics, and Networking. The faculty members are
highly motivated and devoted to delivering the highest quality professional education to students, and strive to excel in their research areas.
Targeted audience: Researchers and students pursuing UG/PG Engineering streams like CSE, IT, EEE and ECE.

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together students, experts and young researchers thereby providing a platform to have a discussion on cyber security and its needs. Hands-on training on various security tool namely Nesssus, Acunetix and MSPY is arranged for the participants.
