Purpose The purpose of this document is to establish requirements for On-call Shift Coordinators. Scope This guideline shall apply to all members of the Clay Fire Territory. Policy The Fire Chief shall appoint three (3) On-call Coordinators, who will be responsible for governing the On-call Division. The On-Call Coordinators shall provide administrative support functions for the On-call staff. The On-Call Coordinators duties include: 1.
Attempt to maintain a staff of 21 On-Call firefighters.
2.
Maintain records, call statistics and report point totals to the Fire Chief.
3.
Administer & govern On-call program requirements.
4.
Report to the Fire Chief annually regarding the condition of issued items i.e. pagers, uniforms, etc..
5.
Conduct recruitment and interviews of all new On-call applicants.
6.
Assist with rookie school as needed by the Training Officer.
