Facilities Management Boardroom Minutes of the Administrative Units Safety Sub-Committee meeting held on October 26, 2017. Meeting opened at 10:35AM in McNally South 025 (Facilities Management boardroom). Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting

Minutes of the September 29, 2017 meeting approved. 2.0

Outstanding Items from Previous Meeting 

February Calendar Items First Aid (Review/update requirements) 5 more ‘key’ positions must attend. Kevin Trudeau is working on scheduling his staff.

Action: Ongoing -

Uneven Grass – Vanier sidewalk area

Derrick Colburn mentioned the grass just off the Vanier building sidewalk on the Gorsebrook, is extremely uneven; also with holes. This is a safety/tripping hazard. A portion of the uneven sidewalk is owned by the city. Action: Holes have been filled. Tom will contact HRM. 

Valerie will forward to members for review. Action: Review at next meeting 3.0 Review of information from JOHSC and Monthly Updates 

Injury and Incident Reports

Reviewed September 2017 incident reports. 5.0

Workplace Inspection/Hazard Identification

Inspection forms are continuing to come in. 6.0

New Business 

October Calendar Items WHMIS Training Review Sub-committee members to check within their departments to see if training is acceptable.

Action: Review at next meeting 

Review OHS Policy Contact Valerie Wadman if you have any questions of suggestions for policy changes. Valerie will also forward the new Incident Reporting form.

Action: Review at next meeting 7.0
