purpose This qualification recognises people who have the competencies required for working in postal operations. It is awarded to people who have demonstrated the skills and knowledge required to: •
follow workplace safety and security procedures; use routine English communication; use business and computing equipment; meet customer needs; and receive, rotate and maintain stock as part of postal services
•
perform specific postal and mail activities as part of postal operations including collecting, recording and processing mail; maintaining a mail work area and equipment; and processing international mail and parcels in a range of courier work environments.
This qualification is designed to be accessible and flexible. There are no entry restrictions to this qualification. The qualification includes core and elective unit standards that enable the holder to show specific competencies in postal services across a range of postal service workplaces.
