Reference Manual Section 2.5 Output Circuits: Relays This supplement has been created to clarify the installation of the Form-C relays (P/N: 411RK) in the Fire Alarm Communicator. Due to a change in vendors, the stripe can no longer be used to correctly position the relay(s). Use the following procedure in place of the installation steps outlined under Relays in Section 2.5 of the Installation, Programming, Troubleshooting and Operating Instruction Manual. Relays Installation: The Fire Alarm Communicator main circuit board provides sockets for two Form-C relays (P/N:411RK) rated for 2.0 amps @ 30 VDC (resistive). Relay 1 must be installed in the main circuit board socket labeled K6 and Relay 2 must be installed in the socket labeled K5. 1.
Remove all power to the main circuit board before installing the relay modules
2.
Position the relay module so that the largest gap between the first set of pins and the second set is to left as illustrated below
3.
Carefully align the relay module pins with the socket holes, making certain that the two pins on each end of the relay line up with the two holes at each end of the socket
4.
Press the relay firmly into place, being careful not to bend any of the pins
