Lesedi local municipality hereby invites suitably qualified companies with the relevant competence, expertise and experience to submit proposals for a Nodal and Corridor development study in support of growth and development. The tender documents together with the terms of reference which are important for the preparation of the proposal/tender will be available from Mr. P Malgas at the Finance Offices of Municipality, Heidelberg, as from Thursday 25 September 2008 at a nonrefundable deposit of R150-00 payable at the rates and taxes hall during office hours Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 15:00. Bank guaranteed cheques are to be made out to Lesedi Local Municipality. Completed proposal(s) and tender documents must be submitted in sealed envelope clearly marked: REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL(S) AND TENDER(S) FOR NODAL CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT STUDY Please submit 2 separate documents, first one (tender) with the price and rates and the second one (proposal) with the technical specification. A bidder combining the 2 documents will be deemed to hamper the evaluation process and will be disqualified. Bids must be placed in the Tender Box situated at the Development and Planning Department Municipal Building, c/o of Louw and H F Verwoerd Street, Heidelberg, will be opened to the public during office hours Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 on or before 12:00, 15 October 2008. No late, no e-mailed or no faxed bids will be considered. Bidder’s attention is specifically drawn to the provisions of the rules, which are included in the bid documents. The Council reserves the right to accept any bid or part thereof and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and not to consider any bid not suitably endorsed or comprehensively completed. Bids completed in pencil will be regarded as invalid bids. Evaluation of the bid will be based on compliance with all criteria as set out in the special conditions of contract, experience and according to the preferential point goals as indicated in the bid documents.
