Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and Friends, Another fantastic week of learning at Raglan. The Year 3 Roman Day in particular really brought the learning to life for the children. Maxine Williams, A Year 5 parent has kindly organised for a group of volunteers from her work place to come into school tomorrow and spruce up the KS2 garden area , so that the children will once more be able to use it – just in time for the good weather. A big thank you to her for organising this. Next week is an important week for Year 6 as they are doing their Key Stage 2 SATs tests. The children have worked really hard through out the year in preparation for them and we are really proud of them all. Now is their opportunity to show what they have learned. We wish them all the very best. Looks like being a lovely weekend weather wise – enjoy! Kath Margetts and Staff

Year 3 Roman Day Year 3 experienced life in a Roman town. We took on the role of slaves who were training to be apprentices. We visited workshops and were able to make a variety of artefacts. During the morning, rumours arrived that Boudicca and her army were advancing. When Boudicca was defeated, we celebrated with an afternoon of feasting and entertainment. Thank you to Mr Benning, Mrs Dossetter, Mrs Fodgen, Mrs Haffenden, Mrs Parker, Mrs Peelen, Mrs Slade and Mrs Toynton and Mrs Ward for helping throughout the day.

4D Family Assembly What a marvellous assembly it was! 4D retold ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine,’ by Roald Dahl and shared their work from the Book Festival week. We were very impressed with the recipes they had created and their descriptions of Grandma!
