Newsletter Friday 24th June 2016

Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and Friends,

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the the summer fayre so successful, it was a lovely community event . Apologies that we were unable to have sports day as planned, hopefully the weather will be kinder to us on Wednesday and we will be able to go ahead. Arrangements will stay the same . Although nobody has come to speak to me directly, I understand from facebook that some parents were upset about the decision that the Parent Forum took regarding birthday cake and sweets. This was not my decision , however I must say that I did support it, particularly as we are re applying for our Healthy School Status. Parent Forum is open to all parents and is designed to enable parents to have a voice about how things work in the school, please do contact your class reps if you would like to bring anything up at the next meeting in September. On Tuesday Yr 5 hosted a wonderful strawberry tea for local residents. It was like having tea at the Ritz, with piano accompaniment from Madeleine, Juan Carlos and Esme. Everyone had a fantastic time and particularly enjoyed Twisting together. Hope to see you all at the sports day picnic. Enjoy your weekend, Kath Margetts and staff

Year 2 and Reception had a brilliant afternoon practising for Sports Day! Every Reception child had a Year 2 buddy and together they took part in lots of different events!

On Wednesday, K21 had a fantastic picnic lunch outside. Thank you to Kelly, Mrs Spittal and their teams! [Grab your reader’s attention with a great quote from the document or use this space to emphasize a key point. To place this text box anywhere on the page, just drag it.]
