Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and Friends, This half term has certainly sped by with lots of exciting and engaging learning taking place across the school. The Annual R- Factor event took place today, which was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the fantastic talent of Raglan children. Mr Rob did a marvellous job of organising it , helped by Maleah and Tom, his talented assistants, who compered the entire event – and what a great job they did! All of the acts were of a very high standard and the judges (members of our school council) had a tough decision choosing the winners. 1st place went to the All Stars, a Year 6 dance group – well done to them and everyone who took part. Look out for a separate ‘Book Fest ‘letter all about our reading week which happens the 2 nd week of next term. There are several activities that the children can work on over the holidays if they would like to. Finally have a happy and restful break and we look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 11 th April. Enjoy your Easter Holiday, Kath Margetts and Staff

Educational Visit in Year 2 This week Year 2 have been learning about Christianity. On Tuesday afternoon, they visited Hope Church so they could explore where Christians worship. Year 2 asked many questions about Christianity and about the church building. The church leader was very impressed with their enthusiasm.

Fantastic Learning Something Fishy is going on in LLC The children in LLC have been looking at life under the sea this half term. Their final activity was making fish shaped biscuits, which they decorated with icing and little treats. They weighed out the ingredients and used their problem solving skills to work out how to get as many fish as possible out of the dough. They certainly developed their communication skills as they talked about their biscuits all day! We hope they enjoyed eating them at home, as much as they enjoyed baking them.

Year 4 Learning This half term, as part of their Design and Technology learning, Year 4 designed and made a pop-up book. Some of 4D decided to make them for children in the Nursery and the rest designed them for children in Reception. On Wednesday, they took their pop up books to show Nursery, Reception and the Lower Language Class. The children enjoyed reading them as much as year 4 enjoyed making them.

Reception Learning The children in Reception had fun applying their measuring skills when they made Easter cakes!
