Dear Parents, Carers, Governors and Friends, Another very busy week at Raglan. It has been Mock SATs week for Year 6, well done to all of the children who did their very best and to all of the parents for your continuing support. Next week we are holding our parent meetings, this is an opportunity for you to find out more about how your child is progressing and to look at all of their fantastic learning. The online booking system is now closed, but if you haven’t yet made an appointment you can still do so via your child’s teacher. We have decided, in response to parents requests for more regular information about their child’s progress, to send out short termly reports rather than just one lengthy report in the summer. We will be sending them out before the end of term and hope that you find them useful. Year 2 had a workshop from ‘Splat threatre’ which the children loved very much, a photo is included below! 2H entertained us with their amazing Family Assembly today. They performed several familiar Fairy Tales and linked them all to our IPC personal goals. It was truly spectacular. LLC performed a shadow puppet show, with puppets that they had made and 2MR designed and made amazing shelters - all of which you will be able to see at parents’ evening. Well done to the Girls’ Football Team, they played today against St Josephs and drew 1:1. Tomorrow, the borough Cross Country Running Event takes place at Crystal Palace. I am sure you will join me in wishing good luck to all of the Raglan children who are taking part. A big thank you to all of the parents who are supporting, to Ali Dumper for organising our team and to the staff who are attending the event. Our site manager, Mr Bestwick, has had an operation on his hand, therefore Mr Smith is on his own for the next two weeks, please bare with us, we are all pitching in to support Mr Smith during this time. Please may I remind you that children are expected to come to school in the correct and full school uniform, which includes wearing a tie. If your child has lost their tie they are avaliable to buy from the office. Thank you for your continued support, Kath Margetts and all of the staff.

Midday Supervisor Vacancy We have a vacancy for a Midday Supervisor. All details can be found on our website. New Planters We would love for you to bring in any polystyrene packaging as we are collecting this for a planting project and will need it to mix with the soil. We are also collecting large fabric softener containers, cleaned and with their lids on. Thank you in advance!

Change of Collection for Children that Attend Clubs Afterschool For safeguarding reasons, please be reminded that if your child attends an afterschool club and there has been a change in arrangements for that day, a message needs to be given to the office so that the club and the school know that your child is not attending. Please phone by 2pm to ensure the message can be passed to the correct adult.

Thank you to 3J and 6O We would like to say a big thank you to all the children (and parents) in Elisa and Julia's classes who contributed so generously, giving books for the girls to take to Sri Lanka. They received more books than they could physically carry on their trip. The Sri Lankan pupils they taught English to were extremely grateful for the gift of so many books.

Excellent ‘Splat theatre’ – thank you so much the children loved it! LLC’s puppet show!

Attendance and Punctuality! Overview This week the overall attendance is 97 % which is just above our target and the same as last week. Well done! Well done ULC with a 100% attendance but not so good on lates again! Well done also too to 2MR and 6R with 99% - closely followed by 6O and 2H 98%!

The best time keepers this week are 2MR (AGAIN!), 1H, RB, 4D and RE who all had no lates! Brilliant. Please make sure that your child is only absent for authorised reasons. Please try to make appointments for Doctors and Dentist before or after school.

Lates This week children were late for school a total of 38 times. With ULC having 7 late marks and 5D with 6! Up 8 on last week’s figure!

Come on Raglan we can do better than this! Don’t be late through the gate! Please make sure your child arrives in time for school! Children must be at school each morning by 8.55 a.m. for KS1 children and 8.50 a.m. for the KS2.

Attendance for each class this week: Class Attendance Lates ULC 100 7 2MR 99 0 6R 99 2 6O 98 3 2H 98 1 1H 97 0 3J 97 4 RB 97 0 5D 97 6 5F 96 3 4D 96 0 RE 96 0 3K 95 4 1R 95 2 LLC 93 3 4B 93 3

Excellent. These classes are meeting our target of 96.5% attendance. These classes are doing very well with average attendance. These classes are below average attendance at 92-95%. Attendance in this class is below 92% and of concern.
