MERRIMACK VALLEYMETROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION PLANNING CERTIFICATION REVIEW MEETING On Thursday, April 4, 2013, the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration will conduct a joint review and evaluation of the transportation planning process for the Merrimack Valley portion of the Boston, MA Transportation Management Area. The purpose of this review is to consider whether the Merrimack Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization’s transportation planning process is compliant with the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Process requirements found in the Code of Federal Regulations (23 CFR Part 450) and the requirements of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act – (MAP-21) of 2012, the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 and other legislation. Key participants in the Merrimack Valley MPO’s transportation planning process will be attending this meeting. The public is invited to all sessions related to the Certification Review and is encouraged to provide input on the Transportation Planning Process. Time will be allocated for public input during the session from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM. An additional session will be held between 6:00 and 7:00 PM where the public may offer comments on the transportation planning process. Comment forms will be available at the Certification Review sessions and may be turned in at the sessions or can be mailed to the Federal Transit Administration or the Federal Highway Administration.
