BURHAIM FIRED The Eagle inquest team under John D. Westmacott and including experienced pilots, engineers and experts yesterday leaked its report on July's Eagle Orbitor smash up. As expected, mission Commander Henry J. Burhaim was judged responsible for the crash. Following the news, test pilot Burhaim's dismissal was announced by the Agency. At a hurried press conference held after verdict, Commander Burhaim, looking pale and drawn, once again proclaimed bis innocence, insisting that a mystery virus in the Orbitor's control program had fouled up the landing systems. Burhaim went on to claim he was the victim of a plot hatched by the Agency and members of the space lobby who needed a "fall-guy to throw to the lions". Burhaim also complained the entire aviation industry was under "pressure from influential quarters" aimed at grounding him for keeps, with no chance of ever again working as a test pilot.

In the absence of a more varied diet, this crew cannot guarantee the execution of duties other than those directly concerning station security.

The presence at every meal ofY ummy Asparagus Bi~Size Delights has become intolerable, especially as several of the crew hate the new spinach flavour.

We the undersigned, crew members of the Orbital station Pegasus, intend by this petition to protest vigorously and unanimously against repeated failures in onboard backup, specifically regarding the lack of variety in our food.
