RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF MADISON COUNTY, GEORGIA For the purpose of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the present and future inhabitants of Madison County and to further the purposes of the Madison County Zoning Ordinance as set forth therein, the Board of Commissioners of Madison County does hereby ordain and enact into law the following changes to the Zoning Ordinance. The 2010 Georgia General Assembly has passed and the Governor has signed legislation known as Senate Bill 384. This Bill makes it illegal to regulate the relocation or placement of a manufactured home based on the age. Section 9.1.3.1 shall be deleted and replaced by the following: Limitations: No pre-owned manufactured mobile home is permitted to be moved in or into unincorporated Madison County without a required health and safety inspection from the Madison County Building Inspection, a private Home Inspector, or the County Building Inspection in which the pre-owned manufactured home is located. The inspection must meet the Madison County guide lines as listed in Section 9.1.3.1(a). The attachment of a manufactured home to an existing manufactured home is permitted only if both units were engineered and manufactured for such attachment. The provisions of this resolution shall be effective upon approval by the Madison County Board of Commissioners.
