Distinguished Alumni Chip Miller Carl N. “Chip” Miller is a 1976 graduate of West Vigo High School. After High School Chip went on to Indiana State University and earned a degree in Business Administration. Shortly after college graduation Chip followed in his grandfather’s footsteps and went into Real Estate and became a partner within four years with the company. Making partner in a real estate business within in four years is typically unheard of, but Chip is a man of perseverance and determination. Currently Chip is Vice President/Director/Principle Broker for Newlin-Johnson Realtors one of the largest realtors in the area. Chip has served on several boards including the Indiana Associate on Realtors and in 1993 he became the youngest President of the state organization. He has also been appointed to committee positions on the National Association of Realtors, including the Professional Standards Committee, Appraiser Committee and was also named part of the Board Leadership at the national level. Chip won the local Realtor of the Year, twice and won the State Realtor of the award in 1996, only the fourth person from Vigo County to win the award. He has served on two Presidential Advisory Groups and on a Special Occasion was invited to White House to talk with President Clinton. Chip has been a devoted father and grandfather and has enjoyed watching his sons grow up. It gives me great honor to introduce to a member of the West Vigo High School Hall of Distinction Chip Miller.
