Here at AAN, we'd like to wish all our readers a Happy Christmas! May your holidays, in Afghanistan as well as abroad, be peaceful.
For those who remain in Kabul and wish to celebrate in style, AAN made a trip to Flower Street in Shar-e Naw to check on the availability of Christmas glitter and indeed, fancy trees are back again and sold including decoration. Many of them, like the one to the left featuring "Baba Noel", are made of plastic - but if you want the real thing, flower shop owners are happy to organize a spruce for you, put it in a pot and throw baubles all over it.
