Brighton Greens Resource Center Opening in February th

On February 8 , 2016, the extensive five-month remodeling project will be completed. The Nevada County Brighton Greens Resource Center will open to the public located at 988 McCourtney Road in Grass Valley as eight individual partners move into the building and reopen as one integrated service site for Nevada County residents. The 20,000 square foot building has been transformed from a long-vacant medical insurance call center to a flagship of integrated services for the Nevada County Health & Human Service Agency (HHSA) that will house approximately 90 county and contracted staff once the move is rd complete March 3 . The Resource Center will house seven divisions of HHSA and share clients from multiple facilities previously located miles apart: Veterans Services, CalWORKs Employment Services, Children’s Behavioral Health, Child Protective Services, Woman, Infant and Children, Child Support Services, and Continuing Eligibility Unit. In addition, the Grass Valley One-Stop Business & Career Center operated by Alliance for Workforce Development will continue to partner with CalWORKs Employment Services and offer employment services to all Nevada County residents in a portion of the building that has been designed specifically for their needs. The five-week process to move the partners in will result in some brief interruption of services to residents.
