[McCartney, Ella R.] MADISON. —Early Sunday morning occurred the death of Mrs. Charles McCartney after two weeks’ illness of pneumonia. Her funeral was held Thursday at the Universalist Church, Rev. Donald Fraser officiating. A large number of relatives and friends met to pay their last tribute of respect to a kind wife and mother, and a true friend. She was a faithful member of the Universalist Church of this place [Madison]; also of the Aid Society, and took much interest in church work, where she will be greatly missed. She was 56 years old. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Dana [Marcella] Camp, a sister, Mrs. Holt of South Hamilton, also a niece, Mrs. Taintor of this place, who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends. The remains were taken to Hubbardsville for burial. Waterville Times, Waterville NY, Fri. 10 Feb 1911
