MANUFACTURED HOME SKIRTING REGULATIONS The area beneath the ground floor of the structure, shall be enclosed around the exterior of the structure, with a non-load bearing curtain wall, that is constructed from any of the following materials, with the noted requirements & restrictions, as stated in the Madison County Zoning Ordinance, Section 9.1.3.3 F “D”
BLOCK (MASONRY BLOCKS) Minimum 4” thick Openings only for installed vents & access doors
BRICK (Masonry Bricks) Minimum 4” thick Openings only for installed vents & access doors
STONE (flat Rocks, Specialty Rocks, Etc) Minimum 4” thick Openings only for installed vents & access doors
METAL (Metal Siding) Must be attached to treated wood framing (no more than 24” on center) or Metal Channel Framing Framing must be securely anchored (Top & Bottom) Openings only for installed vents & access doors
MOLDED CURTAIN WALL (Fiberglass Molded Walls) Vinyl material is NOT allowed Must be attached to treated wood framing,(no more than 24” on center) or Metal Channel Framing Framing must be securely anchored(top & bottom) Openings only for installed vents & access doors
