Maintenance Fitters Field Support Vacancies Nationwide
Starting salary £42,518 (pay award pending) plus bonus DRS are currently looking to recruit Field Support Maintenance Fitters to help support our growing demands in this environment. Reporting to the field support production manager, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance and modification of Locomotives & Rolling Stock. The role involves attending trackside incidents and providing technical backup in accordance with company policy and standards. Some of the duties this role will perform will include, but are not limited to: To Carry out planned maintenance on DRS Locomotive and Rolling Stock fleet in accordance with laid down standards • Carry out service repairs and modification to Locomotive and Rolling Stock fleet to ensure problems and delays are minimised and that vehicles meet availability, reliability and performance standards We would expect applicants to possess the following skills: Time-served engineering tradesman (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent • Hold a full UK Driving Licence • Hold or be willing to obtain PTS (Personal Track Safety) • Have a flexible approach to work and willing to work shifts • Good communications skills • Ability to work in a team as well as independently • Willing to gain job specific training and enhance their skills • Knowledge of the rail industry would be preferred In return we offer an attractive salary plus bonus, 33 days leave, Company Pension scheme and Healthcare scheme.
