Duties and Responsibilities of Committee
• The committee addresses health and wellness, fitness, and personal safety. • Chairman appoints an assistant chairperson and chooses the committee • • • • • • • •
members who then help determine the place, date and time of monthly meetings. Committee promotes use of wellness services and fitness activities on campus. Identifies health and wellness concerns of residents and arranges educational presentations/forums to address those concerns as appropriate. Maintains the VIP (visually impaired persons) programs. Deals with health and wellness issues referred by administration. Makes recommendations to administration as needed. A fitness team is organized and trained to deliver fitness welcome packages to incoming residents. A 'trike' team is organized and trained to assist in usage and maintenance of campus tricycles. A committee person is recruited to organize the annual putting contest.
