Visiting the Lighthouse Today?

Here are some tips to help you have a safe and interesting lighthouse experience. Please read this checklist prior to your lighthouse visit. If there is something you are unsure of please speak to one of the museum staff. Thank You!

What about……………..? Do you know how to get to the lighthouse? What time are you due at the lighthouse? Allow plenty of walking time. Line up near the lighthouse door. A guide will meet you there. At least 2 adults must accompany groups of children into the lighthouse (one at the front and one at the back of the group). We recommend more adult supervision for younger children. Bags and drink bottles can be left at the bottom of the lighthouse(if not left at the museum on arrival). Climb the stairs carefully. How many steps are there? Supervise children at the top of the lighthouse to ensure safety (eg no running or throwing objects). Take time to look at the view. Can you find AAMI stadium? What about the city? Are any dolphins swimming in the Port River? Make sure your group comes down together. Toilets are located adjacent the lighthouse and also in the Bond Store. Please ask one of the museum staff if you have any questions. Enjoy your lighthouse experience.
