Weekly lesson plans are developed at least one week in advance

Specific Directions:

1) The Teacher completes the form outlining the daily activities in each of the interest areas, changes to the environment, parent input, planned field trips or fire/tornado drills, community and parent volunteers and individualization activities. 2) Weekly lesson plans are developed at least one week in advance and are submitted to the Classroom’s CFSM for comments and approval. 3) Lesson Plans are balanced to include individual, small group, and large group activities, both child-and adult-centered. All activities are individualized to meet the needs of all children 4) Lesson plans are written for the entire class, taking into account the specific needs and learning goals for each child, using the Child Progress and Planning form. 5) Each HSCFDC classroom includes a variety of materials to which all children can culturally and ethnically identify. Examples include visual materials, such as photographs of people and places, as well as dramatic play materials such as dolls, food items, and musical instruments which accurately reflect a culture. 6) Lesson plans will be posted in the classroom on Fridays for the following week.
