LEAD SAMPLING AND TESTING Ontario’s municipal drinking water systems must begin testing water at household taps for lead levels starting in December. The Union Water System and the municipalities of Essex, Kingsville, Lakeshore, and Leamington are asking for your help in meeting this requirement. We need volunteers to allow our staff to take samples at the kitchen taps. We especially want to sample in houses built before 1950 when lead pipe was being used.
